• Datagrid binding 2 datafiled under one column along with an image?

  hi, here i am performing nested grid operation where in my first datagrid . have name,age,address once user clicks the row we will be showing another grid that is with data Subject name and Score untill here the functionality works fine . 1:now the Question is that i should be displaying an image along with score in the same column( how can i achive this one) 2:Depending on the score i need to show an image( binding different image based on score) 1 :that is if score is 20 show ( ~images/image1.jpg) 2 :that is if score is 40 show ( ~images/image2.jpg) 3 :that is if score is 20 show (~images/ image3.jpg) output [ in a grid format] subject score science 45 image3 maths 50 image2 Computer 60 image1 general 78 image1 how do we solve this issue . any idea how to go ahead. please let me know. hope my question is clear thanks in advance prince

  Considering the following list : dalist = {{1, a, 1}, {2, s, 0}, {1, d, 0}, {2, f, 0}, {1, g, 1}} I would like to count the number of times a certain value in the first column takes a certain value in column 3. So in this example my desired output would be: {{1,1,2}, {1,0,1}, {2,1,0}, {2,0,2}} Where the latest sublist {2,0,2} being read as: When the value is 2 in the first column, a corresponding value (same row in matrices world) in column 3 of 0 is present twice. I hope this is not to confusing. I added the second Column to convey the fact that the columns are distant to each other. If possible, no reordering should happen. EDIT : {1,2,3,4,5} {1,0} are the exact values taken by the columns I am actually dealing with in my data. I know I am missing the correct description. Please edit if you can and know it. Thank you

• WPF Binding to Items within a collection? (or converter with parameters)

  i am using a WPF DataGrid, and in my Details row, i would like to show separate objects within a sub collection of each grid item. Is it possible to have a finer control of Path? for example something like... Path=SubCollection['ItemX'] etc.. also, if i was to use a converter, i don't want to have to create a separate converter for each item.. so would there be a way to supply a parameter to a converter that could than determine which collection item to return??

  Here's what I'm doing: I have (2) DataGridView controls DGV #1 is bound to the DataSet, DGV #2 is bound to a DataView of the SAME DataSet Now, what I'm needing to accomplish here is this: When a user checks a boolean column on the original DGV, the second DGV should now display the newly checked row also. The context is that the first DGV is a master list, and the second one is a "favorite" view of the first. When I check the rows, the favorite column does NOT update. Do I need to use a DataAdapter to actually update the database, or can I operate directly on the DataSet (DataTable) -- or even with the Rows in the original DataGridView?

  Hey guys quick question, I currently have an insert statement $query= "INSERT into new_mail VALUES ('$to1', '0')"; where fields are username, and message_number Currently what I would do to check if the entry exists, is do a select query then check the number of rows with mysql_num_rows (php). If rows==1 then I get the current message_number and set it equal to $row['message_number']++1. Then I update that entry with another query. Is there an easier way to do all this in just mysql with just one query (check if exists, if not insert, if so update message_number, increase by 1)?

I am copying entries from one table to an "archive" table that has all the columns of the original, plus a couple extra ones. • Extreamely fast way to clone the values of an array into a second array?

  I am currently working on an application that is responsible for calculating random permutations of a multidemensional array. Currently the bulk of the time in the application is spent copying the array in each iteration (1 million iterations total). On my current system, the entire process takes 50 seconds to complete, 39 of those seconds spent cloning the array. • How do you preserve the updated_at date field when saving the the database in Symfony?

  This has to be simple... I'm trying to preserve the current date that is already stored in an updated_at field in the DB. I'm updating a single field value in the same row and then saving but I don't want it to update the updated_at field. I want to preserve the existing updated_at value. I only want to do this in one, maybe two situations so I don't need to overwrite the model for every other action in the program. I've tried this: $originalDate = $this->getUpdatedAt(); $this->setUpdatedAt($originalDate); $this->save(); This seems like it should work but still it seems to update the field.

  I have a python script which reads email addresses from a database for a particular date, example today, and sends out an email message to them one by one. It reads data from MySQL using the MySQLdb module and stores all results in a dictionary and sends out emails using : rows = cursor.fetchall () #All email addresses returned that are supposed to go out on todays date. for row is rows: #send email However, my hosting service only lets me send out 500 emails per hour. How can I limit my script from making sure only 500 emails are sent in an hour and then to check the database if more emails are left for today or not and then to send them in the next hour. The script is activated using a cron job.

• MS SQL Specific Tables Hanging at Queries

  I have SQL Server 2008. I run a query in a table on a database. The weirdest thing keeps happening. I run a simple select statement on the table. I know there are 62 rows in the table but it gets stuck at row 48 and goes on "querying...". Waited already for hours and it didn't move on from there. I only know of two programs, and one reporting service connecting to that particular table and one other user. Does anyone have any idea on what could be causing this and how I could trace the source of the lock on that table? As a side note, I noted that the logs only had a notice that Autogrow failed the day before I checked. Could this have something to do with it?

• Best way in Python to determine all possible intersections in a matrix?

  So if I have a matrix (list of lists) of unique words as my column headings, document ids as my row headings, and a 0 or 1 as the values if the word exists in that particular document. What I'd like to know is how to determine all the possible combinations of words and documents where more than one word is in common with more than one document. So something like: [[Docid_3, Docid_5], ['word1', 'word17', 'word23']], [[Docid_3, Docid_9, Docid_334], ['word2', 'word7', 'word23', 'word68', 'word982']], and so on for each possible combination. Would love a solution that provides the complete set of combinations and one that yields only the combinations that are not a subset of another, so from the example, not [[Docid_3, Docid_5], ['word1', 'word17']] since it's a complete subset of the first example. I feel like there is an elegant solution that just isn't coming to mind and the beer isn't helping. Thanks.

  Hey guys I have a query and it works fine, but I want to add another table to the mix. The invite table I want to add has two fields: username and user_invite. Much like this site, I am using a point system to encourage diligent users. The current query which is displayed below adds the up votes and down votes based on the user in question: $creator. I want to count the number of entries for that same user from the invite table, and add 50 for each row it finds to the current output/sum of my query. Is this possible with one query, or do I need two? • UITableViewController executes delate functions before network request finishes

  I'm having trouble trying to populate a UITableView with the results of a network request. It seems that my code is alright as it works perfectly when my network is speedy, however, when it's not, the function - (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath- still executes, which results in a bad access error. I presume that this is because the array that the aforesaid function attempts to utilize has not been populated. • ActiveRecord and transactionsin between `before_save` and `save`

  I have some logic in before_save whereby (only) when some conditions are met I let the new row be created with special_number equal to the maximum special_number in the database + 1. (If the conditions aren't met then I do something different, so I can't use auto-increments) My worry is that two threads acting on this database at once might pick the same special_number if the second is executed while the first is saving. Is there way to lock the database between before_save and finishing the save, but only in some cases? I know all saves are sent in transactions, will this do the job for me? def before_save if things_are_just_right # -- Issue some kind of lock? # -- self.lock? • Zend_Auth_Adapter_DbTable identity not unique

  For authentication on a website i use Zend_Auth_Adapter_DbTable. Everything work's fine, but Zend Framework only allow unique Identitys in the table. As an identity i use the mail-address from my users. The problem is, that there are more items in the table with this mail-adress. User can delete there account and so i don't delete the whole row, i only change the status to -2 or something else. active user has the status 1. i try to use it like so: $authAdapter = new Zend_Auth_Adapter_DbTable($db, 'user', 'email', 'password', "? AND `status`='1'"); $authAdapter->setIdentity($email); $authAdapter->setCredential($password); But it doesn't work. If i delete the inactive user with the same mail-address, everything work's. Why is that?

• Create a PHP cache system in MySQL database?

  I'm creating a web service that often scrapes data from remote web pages. After scraping this data, I have a simple multidimensional array of information to use. The scraping process is fairly taxing on my server, and the page load takes a while. I was considering adding a simple cache system using a MySQL database, where I create one row per remote web page with a the array of information pulled from it stored as a JSON encoded string. Is this a good enough system? Or would something like a text file per web page be a better idea?

  Merry christmas everyone, I Know my way around SQL but I'm having a hard time figuring this one out. First here are my tables (examples) User id name friend from //userid to //userid If user 1 is friend with user 10 then you a row with 1,10. User 1 cannot be friend with user 10 if user 10 is not friend with user 1 so you have 1,10 10,1 It may look weird but I need those two rows per relations. Now I'm trying to make a query to select the users that have the most mutual friend with a given user. For example User 1 is friend with user 10,9 and 7 and user 8 is friend with 10,9 and 7 too ,I want to suggest user 1 to invite him (like facebook). I want to get like the 10 first people with the most mutual friend. The output would be like User,NumOfMutualFriends I dont know if that can be done in a single query ?   I am using Crystal Reports 2011. I am totally new to crystal reports and reporting tools in general. I just added my data fields to the details section, but instead of showing all the rows in one page, a new page is created for each row. I did not use any grouping or change the section paging settings. This only happens for a blank report, when using the report wizard it works fine, but I can't see the difference between what I did and what the report wizard did.

  OK so I have two tables, MEDIA and BUSINESS. I want it set up so the forms to input into them are on the same page. MEDIA has a row that is biz_id that is the id of BUSINESS. So MEDIA is really a part of BUSINESS. HOW do I insert/add these into their tables without a common ID because I haven't yet made the record for business? I'm sorry I didn't really word this very much... You might need more clarification to answer properly and I'll be glad to give any more info. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

• Drupal Views: Render Null Result for Relationship as 0

  I have a View configured in Drupal to return nodes, sorting them by their average vote in descending order. For the purpose of the View, the value of the average votes is a Relationship. I noticed that nodes with no votes are displayed after nodes with a negative average. Nodes with no votes should have an average of 0, but I believe the MySQL JOIN is causing NULL values to be returned (as there are no matching rows in the joined table, since a row is created after the first vote is cast for that item). I discovered that with MySQL it is possible to output all values that are NULL in a column as another value with IFNULL(column_name,'other value'). I feel like I would need to modify the Views module in order to obtain this functionality, but I'm hoping that there is some sort of option that returns NULL values in a relation (a relation doesn't exist for the item) as 0 instead of NULL, so that I can properly sort the nodes. The modules I am using include Views, Voting API, Vote Up/Down, and CTools. Thanks.
