    Customers who have run the Upgrade Wage Attachments process after applying the 2012 RUP are reporting errors similar to those listed below when either running a quickpay or processing a payroll for employee(s) with involuntary deductions. Error: HR_51118_HRPROC_ERR_ON_ASG ASGNO 1115 APP-PAY-51118: Error was encountered when processing assignment 1115 HR_51119_HRPROC_ERR_OCC_ON_ET ETNAME: Garnishment 3 APP-PAY-51119: Error was encountered when processing Element Type Garnishment 3 HR_6881_HRPROC_ORA_ERR SQLERRMC ORA-01403: No data found SQL_NO 520 TABLE_NAME pay_input_values_f APP-PAY-06881:Error ORA-01403: no data found has occured in table pay_input_values_f at location 520 This issue was logged in Bug 14679161 - QUICK PAY ERROR AFTER RUP (2012) AND WAGE ATTACHMENT UPGRADE APP-PAY-06881. The following one off patches have been released to My Oracle Support to resolve this issue*: 11i -  Patch 14679161 12.0 - Patch 14849394:R12.PAY.A 12.1 - Patch 14849394:R12.PAY.B * IMPORTANT:  Depending on when/if customers have run the Wage Attachment upgrade process will determine the appropriate action to take. Any customer who is encountering the above error and/or has run the Wage Attachment upgrade process AFTER applying the 2012 RUP (applicable to their release level) should log a Service Request with Oracle Support to receive assistance on the necessary steps to take to resolve the problem BEFORE applying the above patch. Any customer who has not yet run the Wage Attachment Upgrade process (either before or after applying the 2012 RUP), should follow the action plan documented in the patch readme. For those customers who have already run the Wage Attachment Upgrade process BEFORE applying the 2012 RUP, should apply the patch (applicable to your release) listed above.   • What php programmer should know?

    I've dig the database here and didn't found any answer for my question. What is a standard for a php programmer to know? I mean, literally, what group of language functions, mechanisms, variables should person know to consider oneself a (good) php programmer? (I know 'being good' is beyond language syntax, still I'm considering syntax of plain php only) To give an example what I mean: functions to control http sessions, cookies functions to control connection with databases functions to control file handling functions to control xml etc.. I omit phrases like 'security' or 'patterns' or 'framework' intentionally as it applies to every programming language. Hope I made myself clear, any input appreciated :) Note: Michael J.V. is right claiming that databases are independent from language, so to put my question more precisely and emphasise differences: Practises or security, are some ideas to implement (there is no 'Pattern' object with 'Decorator()' method, is there?) while using databases means knowing a mysqli and a set of its methods.

    Where is Stakeholder Management in OUM?  Stakeholder Management typically falls into the purview of the Project Manager, which means much of the associated guidance is found in the OUM Manage Focus Area (a.k.a. Manage).  There is no process in Manage named Stakeholder Management, but this “touch point” can be found in a variety of other processes including Bid Transition (BT), Communication Management (CMM) and Organizational Change Management (OCHM). •         Stakeholder management starts in the Bid Transition process with Stakeholder Analysis •         This Stakeholder Analysis is used to build the Project Team Communication Plan in the Communication Management process. •         Stakeholder management should be executed during the Execution and Control phase.  For example, as issues are resolved, the project manager should take the action item to follow up with the affected stakeholders to ensure they are aware that the issue has been resolved. •       The broader topic of Stakeholder management is also addressed very thoroughly in the Organizational Change Management process in the Implement Focus Area, which is a touch point to the Organizational Change Management process in Manage.     I am tired of hearing people recommend that you should use only one thread per process, while many programs use up to 100 per process! take for example some common programs vb.net ide uses about 25 thread when not debugging System uses about 100 chrome uses about 19 Avira uses more than about 50 Any time I post a thread related question, I am reminded almost every time that I should not use more that one thread per process, and all the programs I mention above are ruining on my system with a single processor.   • IIS 6 Ram Allocation on Windows Server 2003

I run SQL intensive code after the user submits a form (math statistics stuff). This process is not threaded (should it be, especially if 2 or more users run the same thing?). But my process seems to consume only a couple of GBs of memory and the server crawls. How do I get my IIS process to use nearly all the memory? I see on other sites that its 2GB or 3GB allocated using boot.ini. But is there another way for the process to use memory? If I make it multithreaded, will there be a process for each thread?

  • How can I determine which GPU card is running at PCI Express 2.0 x16 & which is using x8?

    Is there a way to determine the speed of the PCI Express connection to a specific card? I have three cards plugged in: two Nvidia GTX 480's (one at x16 & and one at x8) one Nvidia GTX 460 running at x8 Is there some way, either by a function call in C or an option to lspci that I can determine the bus speed of the graphics cards? When I only use one of the cards for my CUDA program, I'd like to use the one which is running at x16. Thanks! Note: lspci -vvv dumps out For the two GTX 480s.   • System Settings icons missing

    Is there any way to reset the System Settings Control Panel page? The Control Panel was fine, but the for no apparent reason, PRIVACY, BACKGROUND and a host of other icons have vanished... My system seems pretty messed up after the upgrade... Shutdown, Reset, and Logout from the menu no longer work either... However, I can launch the Privacy panel from the terminal: activity-log-manager and it runs... so why is this, and others, now missing from the System Setting Control Panel? I have checked and: activity-log-manager-control-center is installed Is there a config file I can check, or a setting in Gconf where the list of icons are referenced? I have run - in desperation - sudo apt-get purge unity* sudo apt-get purge ubuntu* sudo apt-get autoremove Run Gconf-cleaner and Janitor then re-installed all packages Still the same issue....?

  • WMemoryProfiler is Released

    What is it? WMemoryProfiler is a managed profiling Api to aid integration testing. This free library can get managed heap statistics and memory usage for your own process (remember testing) and other processes as well. The best thing is that it does work from .NET 2.0 up to .NET 4.5 in x86 and x64. To make it more interesting it can attach to any running .NET process. The reason why I do mention this is that commercial profilers do support this functionality only for their professional editions. An normally only since .NET 4.0 since the profiling API only since then does support attaching to a running process. This thing does differ in many aspects from “normal” profilers because while profiling yourself you can get all objects from all managed heaps back as an object array. If you ever wanted to change the state of an object which does only exist a method local in another thread you can get your hands on it now … Enough theory. When I do find more time I can reconstruct the object root graph from it from my own process. It this cool or what? You can also peek into the Finalization Queue to check if you did accidentally forget to dispose a whole bunch of objects … /// <summary> /// .NET 4.0 or above only. The W of WMemoryProfiler is a good hint. It does employ Windbg and SOS dll to do the heavy lifting and concentrates on an easy to use Api which does hide completely Windbg. If you do not want to see Windbg you will never see it. In my experience the most complex thing is actually to download Windbg from the Windows 8 Stanalone SDK. This is described in the Readme and the exception you are greeted with if it is missing in much greater detail. So I will not go into this here.   What Next? Depending on the feedback I do get I can imagine some features which might be useful as well Calculate first order GC Roots from the actual object graph Identify global statics in Types in object graph Support read out of finalization queue of .NET 2.0 as well. Support Memory Dump analysis (again a feature only supported by commercial profilers in their professional editions if it is supported at all) Deserialize objects from a memory dump into a live process back (this would need some more investigation but it is doable) The last item needs some explanation. Why on earth would you want to do that? The basic idea is to store in your live process some logging/tracing data which can become quite big but since it is never written to it is very fast to generate. When your process crashes with a memory dump you could transfer this data structure back into a live viewer which can then nicely display your program state at the point it did crash. This is an advanced trouble shooting technique I have not seen anywhere yet but it could be quite useful. You can have here a look at the current feature list of WMemoryProfiler with some examples.   How To Get Started? First I would download the released source package (it is tiny). And compile the complete project. Then you can compile the Example project (it has this name) and uncomment in the main method the scenario you want to check out. If you are greeted with an exception it is time to install the Windows 8 Standalone SDK which is described in great detail in the exception text. Thats it for the first round. I have seen something more limited in the Java world some years ago (now I cannot find the link anymore) but anyway. Now we have something much better.

The benefit of this approach is that it gives marketers a high level of control over the whole process which works well when you have a thorough understanding of your segments and which content is most likely to serve their needs.  Tools for marketer managed segmentation and targeting are often built right in to your WEM platform, as they are with Oracle WebCenter Sites. The downside is that the more segments and content that you have, the more time consuming and complicated in can be to manage manually.The second approach relies on predictive intelligence to automate the segmentation and targeting process.  This allows optimization of the process to occur in real time.   • Efficiently rendering to 3D texture

    I have an existing depth texture and some other color textures, and want to process the information in them by rendering to a 3D texture (based on the depth contained in the depth texture, i.e. a point at (x/y) in the depth texture will be rendered to (x/y/texture(depth,uv)) in the 3D texture). Simply doing one manual draw call for each slice of the 3D texture (via glFramebufferTextureLayer) is terribly slow, since I don't know beforehand to what slice of the 3D texture a given texel from one of the color textures or the depth texture belongs. This means the entire process is effectively for each slice for each texel in depth texture process color textures and render to slice So I have to sample the depth texture completely per each slice, and I also have to go through the processing (at least until to discard;) for all texels in it. It would be much faster if I could rearrange the process to for each texel in depth texture figure out what slice it should end up in process color textures and render to slice Is this possible? If so, how? What I'm actually trying to do: the color textures contain lighting information (as seen from light view, it's a reflective shadow map). I want to accumulate that information in the 3D texture and then later use it to light the scene. More specifically I'm trying to implement Cryteks Light Propagation Volumes algorithm.
