• Unicorn_init.sh cannot find app root on capistrano cold deploy

  Hey guys, In my application, i need to show made calls to the user. The user can arrange some filters, according to what they want to see. The problem is that i find it quite hard to filter the calls without losing performance. Is this considered a "proper" implementation of a parallel quicksort? I ask becuase it doesn't use implements Runnable or extends Thread... • Difficulty creating classes and arrays of those classes C#

  I'm trying to implement a Discrete Fourier Transformation algorithm for a project I'm doing in school. But creating a class is seeming to be difficult(which it shouldn't be). I'm using Visual Studio 2012. Basically I need a class called Complex to store the two values I get from a DFT; The real portion and the imaginary portion. It recognizes my constructor as a method. Why is that? Am I creating the class wrong? It's doing the same thing for my Fourier class as well. So each time I try to create a Fourier object and then use it's method...there is no such thing. example, I do this: Fourier fou = new Fourier(); fou.DFT(s, N, amp, 0); and it tells me fou is a 'field' but is used like a 'type' why is it saying that? • Java curious Loop Performance

  I have a big problem while evaluate my java code. To simplify the problem I wrote the following code which produce the same curious behavior. Important is the method run() and given double value rate. For my runtime test (in the main method) I set the rate to 0.5 one times and 1.0 the other time. With the value 1.0 the if-statement will be executed in each loop iteration and with the value 0.5 the if-statement will be executed half as much. For this reason I expected longer runtime by the first case but opposite is true. Can anybody explain me this phenomenon??   Trying to deploy a JSF 2 app with Spring 3.1 + JPA 2 (Hibernte 3.6.8) into JBoss 7.1.1 AS. The app was working fine on tomcat 7. Now, I have already added and changed some configurations. • HDFS some datanodes of cluster are suddenly disconnected while reducers are running

  I have 8 slave computers and 1 master computer for running Hadoop (ver 0.21) some datanodes of cluster are suddenly disconnected while I was running MapReduce code on 10GB data After all mappers finished and around 80% of reducers was processed, randomly one or more datanode disconned from network. and then the other datanodes start to disappear from network even if I killed the MapReduce job when I found some datanode was disconnected.   In Microsoft Project 2007 Professional, If I select Tools Macro Security the message: The file "STDOLE.TLB" cannot be found or contains a Visual Basic for Applications library that is not valid. Verify that the file name is correct, and try again. If the Visual Basic for Applications library is invalid, reinstall Project. I am a software developer and I have developed an Add-In for MS Project using Visual Studio 2005, with all the problems that entails. As such my machine is configured with both Project 2003 Professional and Project 2007 Professional. I only noticed this error when trying to debug my Add-In. The Add-In loads and draws the menu, but when I click on the menu option I receive this error (which is also generated by the Tools Macros Security option mentioned above). I have tried repairing office installations and uninstalling everything and then re-installing everything all over again, but after several hours I still get the same problem. Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this? Some method of finding out what type libraries are registered with STDOLE2.TLB may help if I can identify what is causing the problem. Also a way of manually unregistering the nasty library may be helpful. My machine is configured as follows: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Project 2003 Professional Office 2007 Ultimate Project 2007 Professional Visio 2007 Professional Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Developers Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office Second edition Visual Studio 2008 Professional I also installed MS Project 2010 Beta to test my Add-In against, but have since uninstalled it. • Windows 8 DLNA streaming of MKV files

  I have a Samsung TV that is capable of playing MKV files. The Windows DLNA Play To menu that appears when you right-click a media file does not support MKV files, but a simple trick has been to change the file extension from .mkv to .avi so the Play To context menu item would appear. At that point I could successfully stream from my computer to my TV. However, this does not appear to work in Windows 8. Doing the same thing in Windows 8 causes the Play To window to open but the file does not get played. Dragging and dropping the file in the Play To window causes it to be silently ignored. Using actual AVI, MP4, etc. files works, of course. It appears Windows 8 is now doing some kind of validation on the file that Windows 7 wasn't previously. The Play To window does not show any kind of obvious error message or warning and there is nothing in the Windows event log. So, is there a way in Windows 8 to stream MKV files to a DLNA device without converting it to another container format? I would rather not use extra third-party software, but I would consider it if it's purposefully designed for this simple case rather than a more robust "media library/server" solution.

  I am seeing a strange issue where my php.ini is not used if I do not explicitly pass it to php-fpm when starting it. Is this a quirk in php-fpm? Minor update: This also seems to be a problem for php5-fpm installed using apt-get. I did a test install in a Ubuntu Server 12.04 virtual machine by running the following: sudo apt-get install nginx php5-fpm PHP-FPM and nginx were started after installation and everything seemed fine. I then uncommented php's settings in nginx's configuration and placed a test phpinfo() file to inspect PHP's settings. The relevant bits are: Configuration File (php.ini) Path /etc/php5/fpm Loaded Configuration File (none) Scan this dir for additional .ini files /etc/php5/fpm/conf.d Additional .ini files parsed /etc/php5/fpm/conf.d/10-pdo.ini I noted that no php.ini was loaded either. However, if I go to /etc/php5/fpm, I can see that a php.ini exists. I also checked the start up scripts for PHP-FPM and the -c parameter was not used to link the ini file to PHP. This can potentially be confusing for people who would expect php.ini to be loaded automatically by PHP-FPM.

  What keyboard shortcuts do you use in Excel? Things I've discovered recently and found very useful are: Shift + Space - select the current row Ctrl + Space - select the current column Ctrl + Shift + Space - select the block of contiguous cell Ctrl + + - Insert (as in the context menu). If the current row is selected, will insert a new row. Ctrl + - - Delete (as in the context menu). If the current row is selected, will delete entire row. What (apart from the normal cut, copy, paste, etc) do you use? Ctrl + 1 to open the Format dialog. Shift + F2 to add/edit a cell comment. Shift + F2, followed by Esc to select the current cell comment, which can then be moved around with the arrow keys (????) or deleted by pressing Del. Ctrl + ???? to move to the last non-blank cell in a series. This is usually the edge of a table, but not if you have blank cells in the path. Pressing End followed by an arrow key does the same thing. Alt + F11 to open the VBA editor. Alt + = to start a SUM() formula and go straight to selecting cells to be summed. Ctrl + G or F5 to jump to a cell by typing its coordinates (e.g. C3) Ctrl + Home to jump to the top left, usually A1 unless you you are in a frozen split view, in which case it will jump to the top left of the "data" area. Ctrl + ; and Ctrl + Shift + ; to insert the current date and time, respectively. I know Ben Lings already posted this one, but I find it indispensable.

• How do I renew an expired Ubuntu OpenLDAP SSL Certificate

  We went through the steps of revoking an SSL Certificate used by our OpenLDAP server and renewing it but we are unable to start slapd. Here are the commands we used: openssl verify hostname_domain_com_cert.pem We got back that the certificate was expired but "OK" We revoked the certificate we'd been using: openssl ca -revoke /etc/ssl/certs/hostname_domain_com_cert.pem Revoking worked fine. We created the new Cert Request by passing it the key file as input: openssl req -new -key hostname_domain_com_key.pem -out newreq.pem We generated a new certificate using the newly created request file "newreq.pem" openssl ca -policy policy_anything -out newcert.pem -infiles newreq.pem We looked at our cn=config.ldif file and found the locations for the key and cert and placed the newly dated certificate in the needed path. Still we are unable to start slapd with: service slapd start We get this message: Starting OpenLDAP: slapd - failed. The operation failed but no output was produced. For hints on what went wrong please refer to the system's logfiles (e.g. /var/log/syslog) or try running the daemon in Debug mode like via "slapd -d 16383" (warning: this will create copious output). Below, you can find the command line options used by this script to run slapd. • How to run multiple instances of Tor?

  I'm trying to set up a special proxy server (running Windows). It will have several instances of Privoxy and Tor running and my app will choose which Privoxy instance to send HTTP requests to depending on the load. Privoxy will then forward them to Tor. I'm using srvany.exe to create the services. At the moment I'm running 3 Privoxy and 3 Tor services (I copied the binaries to different folders). Each Privoxy service is listening to its own port (8118, 8119, 8120). I can see them listening in a port scanner. This is the application path (for srvany in registry) for the 1st service: C:\Anonymiser\Privoxy 01\privoxy.exe --service I've also configured the Tor services to listen to different ports (9050, 9052, 9054). This is the application path for the 1st service: C:\Anonymiser\Tor 01\tor.exe -f "C:\Anonymiser\Tor 01\torrc" The problem is, when I start the Tor services, only the first service I start is listening to its port. The others aren't listening. They listen if I run them separately. Any ideas what could be wrong? How can I make all 3 services listen on their assigned ports? • CloneZilla PXE Boot Without NFS

  I am trying to setup CloneZilla to be bootable via PXE without using NFS. I do not have NFS running on our PXE server and would like to keep it that way. However, most of the information that I have found online indicates that you need to setup NFS in order to PXE boot CloneZilla. I believe that I am pretty close in getting it to work, but am not sure where to go next. Listed below are the different PXE menu option configurations that I have used so far. It looks like it gets to the point of trying to load the filesystem.squashfs file, hangs, and then throws the error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  I'm currently trying to set up an unattended installation of Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) through preseeding. But whenever I try to create a custom partition scheme, the Debian installer (which Ubuntu is using) produces a faulty partition table.
