  • What is the 'noreq' Filter Type an Alias for?

    I'm looking in to Magento's filtering options (Ecommerce System and PHP Framekwork with an expansive ORM system). Specifically the addFieldToFilter method. In this method, you specify a SQLish filter by passing in a single element array, with the key indicating the type of filter. For example, array('eq'=>'bar') //eq means equal array('neq'=>'bar') //neq means not equal would each give you a where clause that looks like where field = 'bar'; where field != 'bar'; So, deep in the bowels of the source, I found a comparison type named 'moreq' that maps to a = comparison operator array('moreq'=>'27') where field >= 27 The weird thing is, there's already a 'gteq' comparision type array('gteq'=>'27') where field >= 27 So, my question is, what does moreq stand for? Is is some special SQL concept that's supported in other databases that the Magento guys wants to map to MySQL, or is it just "more required" and an example what happens when you're doing rapid agile and trying to maintain backwards compatibility.

  • Can I write a .NETCF Partial Class to extend System.Windows.Forms.UserControl?

    Okay... I'm writing a .NET CF (VBNET 2008 3.5 SP1) application, which has one master form, and it dynamically loads specific UserControls based on menu click, in a sort of framework idea. There are certain methods and properties these controls all need to work within the app. Right now I am doing this as an Interface, but this is aggravating as all get up, because some of the methods are optional, and yet I MUST implement them by the nature of interfaces. I would prefer to use inheritance, so that I can have certain code be inherited with overridability, but if I write a class which inherits System.Windows.Forms.UserControl and then inherit my control from that, it squiggles, and tells me that UserControls MUST inherit directly from System.Windows.Forms.UserControl. (Talk about a design flaw!) So next I thought, well, let me use a partial class to extend System.Windows.Forms.UserControl, but when I do that, even though it all seems to compile fine, none of my new properties/methods show up on my controls. Is there any way I can use partial classes to 'extend' System.Windows.Forms.UserControl? For example, can anyone give me a code sample of a partial class which simply adds a MyCount As Integer readonly property to the System.Windows.Forms.UserControl class? If I can just see how to get this going, I can take it from there and add the rest of my functionality. Thanks in advance! I've been searching google, but can't find anything that seems to work for UserControl extension on .NET CF. And the Interface method is driving me crazy as even a small change means updating ALL the controls whether they need to 'override' the method or not.

  • connecting clients to server with emulator on different computers

    I am writing an application that communicates using sockets. I have a server running on one android emulator on a computer, then i have 2 other clients running on android emulators on 2 other computers. I am trying to get the 2 clients to connect to the server. This works when i run the server and clients on the same computer, but when i attempt to do this on the same wifi network and on separate computers it gives me the following error. The client and server code is posted below. A lot is stripped out just to show the important stuff. Also, after the server starts i telnet into the server and run these commands redir add tcp:5000:6000 (i have also tried without doing the redir but it still says the same thing). Then i start the clients and get the error. Thanks for the help! Both the 5000 port and 6000 port are open on my router. Why does "xsd:date" of XML Schema Type mapped "java.util.Date" ? I guess that JAXB intentionally does its mapping. I want to know that reason if any. And if exists it, how to change "xsd:date" of XML Schema Type to "java.util.Date" of Java class without using annotation(ex.@XmlJavaTypeAdapter). I want to do mashalling and unmarshalling without all annotations.

I thought that I could do it like contex.AddToDogs(), but contex contain only base entity - Animal. So I can only save Animal object - contex.AddToAnimals(). I have also tried with contex.AddObject("Animals", dogInstance), but I get the following error: The member with identity 'NavigationProperty' does not exist in the metadata collection. But I have add EntityReference to the "NavigationProperty". So how to save derived type in EF?

This fedora document says I need to boot from a Windows XP installation CS to fix the MBR. Is there a way to do that without using the CD (I'm working in a company where I got my computer up and running with XP.     In F#, I'd like to have what I see as a fairly standard Abstract Datatype: // in ADT.fsi module ADT type my_Type // in ADT.fs module ADT type my_Type = int In other words, code inside the module knows that my_Type is an int, but code outside does not. However, F# seems to have a restriction where type abbreviations specifically cannot be hidden by a signature. This code gives a compiler error, and the restriction is described here. If my_Type were instead a discriminated union, then there is no compiler error. My question is, why the restriction? I seem to remember being able to do this in SML and Ocaml, and furthermore, isn't this a pretty standard thing to do when creating an abstract datatype? Thanks

    I want to run some commands using the system() command, I do this way: execute_command_error("trash-put '/home/$filename'"); Where execute_command_error will report if there was an error with whatever system command it ran. I know I could just unlink the file using Perl commands, but I want to delete stuff using trash-put as it's a type of recycling program. My problem is that $filename will sometimes have apostrophes, quotes, and other weird characters in it that mess up the system command or Perl itself.

    I have a DataGridView, and I'm listening to its Scroll event. This gives me a ScrollEventArgs object whose Type member is supposed to tell me the type of scroll event that has occurred. On the MSDN documentation page it says I should be able to detect movement of the scroll box by listening for events with types ThumbPosition, ThumbTrack, First, Last and EndScroll. However, when I drag the scroll box, I only get events of type LargeDecrement and LargeIncrement. How do I get access to the ThumbPosition, ThumbTrack, First, Last and EndScroll events?

It loses Skype (as well as any other application) when it goes minimized to system tray (notification area). Can I disable Skype from minimizing to system tray favouring Win7-like behaviour? Skype version I use is 2.1 beta, but I would not mind reinstalling it in favour of another version. I use Arch Linux with all the latest kernel, x.org and xfce.

    It seems to me that data=journal prevents file system inconsistency in the case of power failure. Using it with a dedicated journal device mitigates the performance penalty of writing the data twice. A power outage would still lose the data that is currently being written to the journal, but the file system on disk would always be consistent. If that amount of loss is acceptable, is a RAID controller with battery backed cache really worthwhile?
