• Free-as-in-beer binary file format inspector

  I am looking for a utility that gives me the ability to specify a binary file format and then interpret a file of bytes according to that format. (Something along the lines of the 010 Editor, but infinitely more cost-effective). Something that runs on Mac OS X would be preferred, but I'm interested to see what all is out there in general (while more of a hassle I'd be willing to run a tool on Windows if it were superior.) What's your preference?

  I am moving data from an almost dead HDD to an external USB drive using linux , because for some reason Windows cannot see the data. I want to copy a large amount of data over from the HDD to the USB drive with integrity checking. I thought about copying everything over and then checking with md5summer but this would take a reaally long time because its a lot of data and this is not a very powerful PC. • How to make mouse wheel to scroll control under mouse cursor?

  Currently, mouse wheel scrolls the control that has keyboard focus. That's not good when window has several scrollable controls, because I have to click control first and then scroll. And the same again when trying to scoll another control. Especially bad, when that control has some action associated with click (like MSDN's article list - it opens new article on click). So, is there any tool to fix mouse scroll behavior?

We'd like to be able to see reports on things like server load, requests/sec, response time, DB load, DB response time, etc. Is there an open source or free (as in beer) tool that can parse such logs and provide a real-time report? • Script to reorder ACLs in Windows server 2008?

  I have ran a tool called admnalow.exe that re-grants access to the local administrators (BUILTIN\Administrators) group for all directories and subdirectories in a given path. The problem is it seems to have caused the ACL's to be ordered improperly. I've been looking everywhere and have been unable to find a .vbs or any other script that will parse through a set of directories and reorder the ACLs. This can be done manually but would be incomprehensible for thousands of directories. Can anyone help?!?!

  Hi, I'm trying to setup phpUnderControl on Ubuntu 10.04 following this tutorial http://techportal.ibuildings.com/2009/03/03/getting-started-with-phpundercontrol/. I get to the part where it says to type in sudo phpuc example /opt/cruisecontrol but recieve the following error: Missing cli tool 'phpcb', check the PATH variable. I did a little googling but can't seem to find reference of a phpcb anywhere. Does anyone know what this is and where I might get it? Thanks.
