  Hello guys, First time Map/Reduce user here, and using MongoDB. I have a lot of page visit data which I'd like to make some sense of by using Map/Reduce. Below is basically what I want to do, but as a total beginner a Map/Reduce, I think this is above my knowledge! Find all visits to current page where external = true within the last 30 days (unix timestamp, I deal with the date ranges in PHP and then the array, not mongo date) Group all visits by referral location For each referral location, calculate how many then went to visit a page which has a certain word in the [tags]. I'm using the normal Mongo PHP extension if that has an impact.

• Merge Cells Vertically in RTF

  I need to programmatically generate an RTF document with a table that has a column vertically merged., e.x. ______________________________ | merged | foo | hello | | cell | | | | right |--------|----------| | here | bar | world | |_________|________|__________| I looked up online and found that the codes are \clvmgf and \clvmrg but I can't find a decent example. I made a text rtf using MS word, but there's too much junk rtf codes in it for me to figure it out where to put the \clvmgf and \clvmrg to get this to work. Could someone give me an rtf for above example table with no extraneous rtf codes so I can figure out how \clvmgf and \clvmrg works? Any additional explanation would also be greatly appreciated. • .htaccess rewrite rule to add a string in the middle of the URL

  Using a .htaccess rewrite rule, I need to add "?q=" before the path on any URL's containing the word "imagecache" Therefore, if the URL is: http://mysite.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/myimage.jpg ...then it will really try: http://mysite.com/?q=sites/default/files/imagecache/myimage.jpg But that will ONLY happen if the URL contains "imagecache." Otherwise, it does no rewriting. Also, this will only happen if /sites/default/files/imagecache/myimage.jpg isn't already an existing image file. I believe I can do that using: RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f ...right? It's just the first part that I can't figure out.

• I have string with "\u00a0" and I need to replace it with "" str_replace fails

  I need to clean a string that comes (copy/pasted) from various office suite (excel, access, word) each with his own set of encoding. I'm using json_encode for debugging purposes in order to being able to see every single encoded character. I'm able to clean everything I found so far (\r \n) with str_replace, but with \u00a0 I have no luck. $string = '[email protected]\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0;[email protected]'; //this is the output from json_encode $clean = str_replace("\u00a0", "",$string); returns: [email protected]\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0;[email protected] that is exactly the same, it completly ignores \u00a0. Is there a way around this also I'm feeling I'm reinventing the wheel, is there any function/class that completely strips EVERY possibile char of EVERY possible encoding?   Hello, I am trying to simplify a process where I currently use my hand calculations of X & Y Co-Ordinates of each value. Which works fine, but is causing me a lot of pain as I have to do quite a number of PDF's. I know that I can open a PDF and insert "input fields" within Adobe Acrobat Pro, which it would be great if I could use PHP to connect to those input fields and insert a value from a PHP Form. WORKFLOW:: PHP FORM PHP PROCESSING ENGINE TO FINAL PDF WITH FORM VALUES IN THE LOCATION OF THE ADOBE INPUT FIELDS. If someone has some information on something like this it would be much appreciated.

  I have an ISAPI filter that I am using to do URL rewriting for my CMS. The values are missing. I'm expecting either my "test1" or "test2" header values to appear, but they are not. Am I doing something wrong here?

  I experiment with a lot of open source software and I've noticed a fair amount of server type applications in the open source world use libevent to facilitate event-based processing rather than spawn multiple threads to handle requests. I also do a lot of .NET programming (it's my core job function), and I'm interested in learning how libevent relates to the .NET event model. Are events in .NET the equivalent of libevent for C programs? Should I try to learn libevent and attempt to use it in custom .NET server applications or is using the standard .NET event model basically the same thing?

The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout. This may be because the service is still processing the operation or because the service was unable to send a reply message. Please consider increasing the operation timeout (by casting the channel/proxy to IContextChannel and setting the OperationTimeout property) and ensure that the service is able to connect to the client how to increase the time out and how?What is the best solution.

• Wait for a single RabbitMQ message with a timeout

  I'd like to send a message to a RabbitMQ server and then wait for a reply message (on a "reply-to" queue). Of course, I don't want to wait forever in case the application processing these messages is down - there needs to be a timeout. It sounds like a very basic task, yet I can't find a way to do this. I've now run into this problem with both py-amqplib and the RabbitMQ .NET client.   I would like to track (run some code - or invoke function) when the user get an incoming call. for example: for every call the user receive I want to save the number, and check something during or before the call is answered (with a background process..) until now without the background processing I couldn't find a way to do this. • asp.net connection reset with long running process

  In an asp.net web form, I keep getting a connection reset error message. The page is doing a some long running processing (about 2-5 minutes). I have no problem when the web request comes from the same machine as the web server. But when the request originates across the network, I get a connection reset error about 1:30 or 2 minutes into waiting for a response. I have set the in web.config for this application and put the application it's own application pool. What else can I try?

  When I upload a photo, my model fails validation, err well even without any validations I'm returned this error: /tmp/stream20100103-13830-ywmerx-0 is not recognized by the 'identify' command. and /tmp/stream20100103-13830-ywmerx-0 is not recognized by the 'identify' command. I'm confident this is not related to ImageMagick because I've removed any image processing from the uploading, also I've tried uploading different mime types, like .txt files and the such. • Size Mismatch Between Swing Fonts and Printable Fonts in Java

  Hi All, I've got a panel displaying a JTextPane backed by a StyledDocument. When I print a string of text in, say Arial 16, the text it prints is of a different size than the Arial 16 Word prints. Is there some sort of flaw in the translation of Swing fonts to Windows system fonts or something of the sort that makes it difficult (or impossible) to print accurately? I can achieve an approximation by scaling down the size of my font before printing, but this never quite gets me the results I would like, as it's not possible in all cases to reproduce things like equivalent numbers of words on a line, etc. Has anybody run into this before?

The error -Windows Error[2] The system cannot find the file specified- comes when I run the program, open a .doc within the folder make some changes and save it. Any suggestions on how to fix this?   Hello guys I got this cbxJobPosition_SelectionChanged firing as expected. The problem is when a external method tries to set cbxJobPosition. cbxJobPosition is databinded with a list of objects of type JobPosition: JobPositionID: 1, JobPositionName: Manager JobPositionID: 2, JobPositionName: Employee JobPositionID: 3, JobPositionName: Third party Here's the XAML: <ComboBox Cursor="Hand" DataContext="{Binding}" ItemsSource="{Binding}" FontSize="13" Name="cbxJobPosition" SelectedValuePath="JobPositionID" DisplayMemberPath="JobPositionName" SelectedIndex="0" Width="233" Height="23" SelectionChanged="cbxJobPosition_SelectionChanged" /> On UserControl_Loaded method, it reads from database the list of jobs and try to set the specific job position "Third party": //calls cbxJobPosition_SelectionChanged and passes the correct SelectedValue within cbxJobPosition.SelectedIndex = 3; //calls cbxJobPosition_SelectionChanged and but won't pass the correct SelectedValue within cbxJobPosition.SelectedValue = "3"; As you can notice, when the processing is automatically redirected to cbxJobPosition_SelectionChanged, the SelectedValue attribute will have different values for each statement above when you're debugging within cbxJobPosition_SelectionChanged event. • threaded serial port IOException when writing

  Hi, I'm trying to write a small application that simply reads data from a socket, extracts some information (two integers) from the data and sends the extracted information off on a serial port. The idea is that it should start and just keep going. In short, it works, but not for long. After a consistently short period I start to receive IOExceptions and socket receive buffer is swamped. The thread framework has been taken from the MSDN serial port example. The delay in send(), readThread.Join(), is an effort to delay read() in order to allow serial port interrupt processing a chance to occur, but I think I've misinterpreted the join function. I either need to sync the processes more effectively or throw some data away as it comes in off the socket, which would be fine. • System.Uri can't parse when password field contains a "#"

  The following code throws System.UriFormatException: var uri = new UriBuilder("ftp://user:pass#[email protected]:21/fu/bar.zip"); System.UriFormatException: Invalid URI: A port was expected because of there is a colon (':') present but the port could not be parsed. Removing the # symbol from the password field solves the issue. Is a # symbol a valid character to have in the password field? Is there a way to escape this? Is this a known bug in the parsing routine of the Uri class? How does one get around this - assuming you can't change the password? ;-) Thanks, Andrew
