In Microsoft PowerPoint 2007, when opening multiple .pptx/.ppt documents simultaneously, the documents are opened in the same physical PowerPoint window.
I was wondering if anyone was aware of a way to separate these documents into separate physical windows.
I am aware that you can arrange and cascade separate documents within the same PowerPoint window, but I find that method a bit awkward and frustrating (especially when juggling more than two documents simultaneously).
Windows 7's XP Mode virtual PC supports some features that aren't 'stock' with an XP Virtual PC such as a different start-up dialog, no Shutdown button, etc. Possibly the most significant is that applications installed within the XP Mode VM appear within the Windows 7 start-menu.
I have a need for multiple XP Mode VM's--is it possible to have 2 or more XP Mode VM's, or to otherwise enable these extra integration features in an XP Virtual PC?
In an application, are there multiple permissions that acess internet? Could only part of an application be denied a certain permission, such as internet?
Could only the part of the application that is spyware be denied internet permissions, Such as through modifying the files that connect to the internet?
spyware
X no internet acess
(internet) (read) (write) (sound or harware)
| permission 1 | permission 2 | permission 3 | permission 4 |

I'm looking for a tool that will allow multiple panels to be visible while looking at the local file system, so that I can copy/move files easily between the panels.
I have been using 7-zip, since you can view 2 panels at once, but I feels as if there is something better out there.
What are the top recommendations?

I just started playing with VirtualBox to check out different versions of Linux.
I was wondering if it would be possible (and recommended) to set up a single virtual machine with multiple partitions - one for each separate version of Linux, one for swap memory, and one fully shared /home partition?
Still new to Linux, but I've read this is a good way to partition so you can share common applications between Linux installations, however I think everything I've read is pertaining to literal partitions and not virtual machines.
How can I combine multiple single page prints into a single print job?
For example, using Firefox on Linux one can print a web page such that each sheet of paper has four pages printed upon it. I would like to combine several separate web pages so that for example, web-page-a, web-page-b and web-page-c (each less than one print page long) are printed on a single sheet of paper.
I would like to do this without having to use some for of image editor to combine them.
I'm using Ditto Clipboard Manager and wish to share the clipboard on multiple machines on my home network. I've heard that you can do this but haven't found any help on it.
How do I host multiple SSL websites(all subdomains) using ISA inbound rules with 1 external IP address?
I think something like option 2 in this question might work?
We have a number of Windows Scheduled tasks that run on one Server 2008 Webserver (not R2) which is in a cluster.
We recently moved from an original webserver Cluster to a new webserver Cluser (Server 2008 - not R2).
The new webserver (in the cluster) running the Windows Tasks is setup the same as on the original we believe.
BUT we now find that on the new Windows Server the Windows Task Scheduler seems to want to instantly start each task three times.
If we set the option to queue up a new task we get:
Event ID 324
Task Scheduler queued instance "{9a1a8411-b042-45ff-8e6b-89874df230d7}" of task "\Client Reporting" and will launch it as soon as instance "{2bcc3df6-ea3b-4453-90c2-75b8b1946388}" completes.
If we set the option to stop an existing task we get:
Event ID 323
Task Scheduler stopped instance "{e685a910-b32b-414e-85fd-96bbe54314a2}" of task "\Client Reporting" in order to launch new instance "{4db66265-1f51-4ede-8535-ac7c3cb5c4c1}" .
Ticked settings:
Allow task to be run on demand.
Run task as soon as possible after a scheduled start is missed.
Stop the task if running for longer than 1 hour.
If the running task does not end when requested force it to stop.
Start the task only if the computer is on AC power.
Stop the task if the computer switches to battery power.
Selected option: If the task is already running - stop the existing instance.
Note: We moved the tasks from one server to another in the cluster to see if it the Task Scheduler on the particular server we'd picked causing the problem. Same behaviour.
Could it be something to do with the build of the new servers?
We have very similar tasks set up on another server cluster that work OK without all this multiple starting. Comparing those tasks to the ones here - there does not seem to be anything obviously different in terms of settings available to us through the options within the Task Scheduler.
Trigger: The task is scheduled to be triggered daily, once an hour - and to be stopped if it exceeds this time.
Action: Runs a .bat file.
What could be causing this/where we can look to see what logic is causing the tasks to start multiple times in this way?
I want to it to assume that text may be in mixture of languages and words should be looked up in multiple dictionaries. (E.g. everything in en-GB, en-US, ru, be and be-classic should be consider as good, everything else should be underlined and corrections from all dictionaries should be offered). Is there an add-on for "multi-language spell-check"?
Alternatively, can I merge all dictionaries into one big combined dictionary?
We are interested in implementing RemoteApp on Windows 2008 R2 to serve out a few programs.
Since the developers use shared memory to pass messages between processes, it is necessary that we provide them with a solution that will allow this. They have researched and discovered that if the applications exist in the same terminal server session that they will be able to access shared memory.
Is there a way to absolutely ensure that multiple RemoteApps are running within the same session (with the same user) so that they can access the same shared memory?
I often find myself opening several ssh connections in order to view several log files at a time with tail -f.
This isn't a problem when I'm at home because I use public key encryption for password-less login. However, I will often use computer at my university to do this so I don't have the option of using my private key. It gets annoying to enter my password 4 or 5 times to get several terminal windows.
How can I get multiple terminals over a single connection?
I have the following Wi-Fi router: http://www.beetel.in/business-solutions/international-business/adsl/450-four-port-wifi-modem
And I am also posting screen shots of ISP settings (from 192.168.1.1). Problem is, my Wi-Fi router is broadcasting multiple SSIDs (even the SSIDs which I used in the past and aren't entered in settings at present).
How do I resolve this to broadcast single SSID? I have already tried factory settings restore.
SSID1 Settings
SSID2 Settings
SSID2 Settings- greyed-out, unable to change anything
Is it possible to have USB drive bootable and place multiple ISOs like

Hello SF,
On a win32 multiple nic computer, how to force DNS resolving through gethostbyname() on a specific nic if all nics have different DNS configured and have the same metric ?
Otherwise, how to know which DNS will be used to resolve names each time a gethostbyname() call will be performed by the application ?

I've been looking for a GSM modem that could take multiple SIM cards. All I could find on Google are factory listings from China that will only ship at a minimal order of 10 pieces. Does anyone know where I can get one of these in North America or order just one online?
Thanks a lot!!
I know how to setup multiple start pages in google chrome but I want one of those pages to be its default new tab page which shows the thumbnails for 9 most visited pages. Can this be done in google chrome?
Thanks for any replies in advance.
I have this simple formula:
=CONCATENATE("foo";"bar")
which renders foobar on the cell.
How can I lay this formula in multiple lines in the same cell? I'd like to be able to do something like the following but it doesn't work as the newline in the cell forbids the formula from being executed:
=CONCATENATE("foo";
"bar")
The reason I'm asking is because I have huge formulas an I need to format them (using newlines and a bit of indentation) for readability.
thanks

We are experimenting with running an OpenVPN server for our business. One question I can't seem to find the answer to is this:
When we generate keys for one of our users for them to use at home, can their use the same keys on their home laptop as well as their home desktop? Or do we need to generate separate keys for each user's client machine?
