• C# SQLite file import prevent duplicates

  Hi, I am attempting to get a directory (which is ever-growing) full of .txt comma delimited files to import into my SQLite db. I now have all of the files importing ok, however I need to have some way of excluding the files that have been previously added to db. I have a column in the db called FileName where the name and extension are stored next to each record from each file. Now I need to say 'If the code finds XXX.txt and XXX.txt is already in db, then skip this file'. • VBA nested Loop flow control

  I will be brief and stick to what I know. This code for the most part works as it should. The only issue is in the iteration of the x and z loop. these to loops should set the range and yLABEL for the Y loop. I can get through a set and come up with the correct range after that things go bonkers. I know some of it has to do with not breaking out of x to set z and then back to x update the range. It should work z is found then x. the range between them is set for y. then next x but y stays then rang between y and x is set for y.. so on and so forth kinda like a slinky down the stairs. or a slide rule depending on how I set the loops either way I end up all over the place after a couple iterations. I have done a few things but each time I break out of x to set z , X restarts at the top of the range. At least that's what I think I am seeing. In the example sheet i have since changed the way the way the offset works with the loop but the idea is still the same. I have goto statements at this time i was going to try figuring out conditional switches after the loops were working. Any help direction or advice is appreciated. When I publish the web service application to inetpub\wwwroot (Windows 7, IIS7) it does not delete the old files in the Download directory. The app works perfect when I publish to IIS from a physical directory not in wwwroot. Obviously, it seems IIS places some sort of lock on files in the web root. I have tested impersonating an admin user to run the app and it still does not work. Any tips on how to circumvent the lock programmatically when in wwwroot?   Hey, I am putting together a project for a class that requires me to put AI in a top down Tactical Strategy game in Flash AS3. I decided that I would use a node based path finding approach because the game is based on a circular movement scheme. When a player moves a unit he essentially draws a series of line segments that connect that a player unit will follow along. I am trying to put together a similar operation for the AI units in our game by creating a list of nodes to traverse to a target node. Hence my use of Astar (the resulting path can be used to create this line). • Session state provider and global.asax not interacting properly?

  I'm experimenting with creating a crude, proof-of-concept session state store provider in ASP.Net. But I've got a problem and I'm not sure what to do about it. The website works properly when using the InProc provider. The Session_Start in global.asax is called on session creation as it should. But not if I implement my own provider. The Session_Start method from global.asax isn't being called at all if a new session is being created (that is, I delete the session state file). • Multiple data series in real time plot

I've managed (after some reading and copying examples online) to get a plot working that updates on a timer which is great. My only trouble is that I can't manage to get multiple data series into the same plot. Does anyone have a solution to this?   I know there are jQuery cookie plugins out there, but I wanted to write one for the sake of better learning the jQuery plugin pattern. I like the separation of "work" in small, manageable functions, but I feel like I'm passing name, value, and options arguments around too much. Is there a way this can be refactored? • JPA2 adding referential contraint to table complicates criteria query with lazy fetch, need advice

  Following is a lot of writing for what I feel is a pretty simple issue. Root of issue is my ignorance, not looking so much for code but advice. Table: Ininvhst (Inventory-schema inventory history) column ihtran (inventory history transfer code) using an old entity mapping I have: @Basic(optional = false) @Column(name = "IHTRAN") private String ihtran; ihtran is really a foreign key to table Intrnmst ("Inventory Transfer Master" which contains a list of "transfer codes"). This was not expressed in the database so placed a referential constraint on Ininvhst re-generating JPA2 entity classes produced: @JoinColumn(name = "IHTRAN", referencedColumnName = "TMCODE", nullable = false) @ManyToOne(optional = false) private Intrnmst intrnmst; Now previously I was using JPA2 to select the records/(Ininvhst entities) from the Ininvhst table where "ihtran" was one of a set of values. I used in.value() to do this... here is a snippet: cq = cb.createQuery(Ininvhst.class); ... In in = cb.in(transactionType); //Get in expression for transacton types for (String s : transactionTypes) { //has a value in = in.value(s);//check if the strings we are looking for exist in the transfer master } predicateList.add(in); My issue is that the Ininvhst used to contain a string called ihtran but now it contains Ininvhst... Or should I use a projection to somehow return Ininvhst along with the ihtran string which is now part of the Intrnmst entity. Or should I use a projection to return Ininvhst and somehow limit Intrnmst just just the ihtran string. Further information: I am using the resulting list of selected Ininvhst objects in a web application, the class which contains the list of Ininvhst objects is transformed into a json object. There are probably quite a few serialization methods that would navigate the object graph the problem is that my current fetch strategy is lazy so it hits the join entity (Intrnmst intrnmst) and there is no Entity Manager available at that point. At this point I have prevented the object from serializing the join column but now I am missing a critical piece of data. I think I've said too much but not knowing enough I don't know what you JPA experts need. What I would like is my original object to have both a string object and be able to join on the same column (ihtran) and have it as a string too, but if this isn't possible or advisable I want to hear what I should do and why. Pseudo code/English is more than fine.

• AIDL based two way communication

  I have two apps between which I want some data exchanged. As they are running in different processes, so, I am using AIDL to communicate between them. Now, everything is happening really great in one direction (say my apps are A and B) i.e. data is being sent from A to B but, now I need to send some data from B to A. I noticed that we need to include the app with the AIDL in the build path of app where the AIDL method will be called. So in my case A includes B in its build path. For B to be able to send something to A, by that logic, B would need A in its build path. This would create a cycle. I am stuck at this point. And I cannot think of a work around this loop. Any help would be greatly appreciated :) . • Java File I/O problems

  This is my first time working with file i/o in java, and it's not working. The section of the program where I parse individual lines and output a semicolon delimited line works like a charm when I hardcode a file and display on screen. Whne I try to write to a file public static OutputStream... errors out as an illegal start to expression, and I've been unable to get the program to step through an entire directory of files instead of one at a time. Where I'm not clear: I'm note setting an output filename anywhere...whare am I supposed to do that? The path variable won't pass. What's the proper format for a path? • Why can i not upload images to my folder anymore?

  This was something I had working a few weeks back but after I made some changes to my view file images are now no longer being saved into my assets/uploads folder. I keep getting back the error - You did not select a file to upload. This is despite having made sure the path is definitely correct. What am i doing wrong here? • ComboBox values disappears after selected when objects used for display

  I have a combobox where I want to display objects and have enum values returned. When first opened the combobox displays the items as supposed, but after a value is chosen it seems to disappear from the list. But if the combobox is active I can use the keyboard to navigate up and down between the other values, so they are in the list but only invisible. I have created a little test application to show my problem. When started the application shows the combobox with all the choices (the two first are type of Object, the third is a String): After the blue line is selected and when the combobox is opened again this line is missing: When the line with the text "Green" is selected that line is still showing: If I had chosen the red line the only thing that would still be in the list is the test "Green".   I'm confused how CookieContainer handles domain, so I create this test. This test shows cookieContainer doesn't return any cookie for "site.com" but according to RFC it should return at least 2 cookies. Isn't it a bug? How make it to work? • .htaccess not working (mod_rewrite)

  Edit: I am pretty sure my .htaccess file is NOT being executed, and the problem is NOT with my rewrite rules. I have not having any luck getting my .htaccess with mod_rewrite working. Basically all I am trying to do is remove 'www' from "http://www.site.com" and "https://www.site.com". If there is anything I am missing (conf files, etc let me know I willl update this) I jsut can't see whats wrong here... • JBOSS 7.1 started hanging after 6 months of deployment

  My application is been live from 6 months. The application is host on jboss 7.1 server. From last few days I am finding numerous problem of hanging of jboss server. Though I restart the jboss server again, it does not invoke. I need to restart the server machine itself. Can anyone please let me know what could be the cause of these problems and the workable resolutions or any suggestion ? Kindly dont degrade the question as I am facing a lot problems due to this hanging issue. Also for the information, the application is based on Java, GWT, Hibernate 3. • Spring boot JAR as windows service

  I am trying to wrap a spring boot "uber JAR" with procrun. Running the following works as expected: java -jar my.jar I need my spring boot jar to automatically start on windows boot. The nicest solution for this would be to run the jar as a service (same as a standalone tomcat). When I try to run this I am getting "Commons Daemon procrun failed with exit value: 3" Looking at the spring-boot source it looks as if it uses a custom classloader: https://github.com/spring-projects/spring-boot/blob/master/spring-boot-tools/spring-boot-loader/src/main/java/org/springframework/boot/loader/JarLauncher.java I also get a "ClassNotFoundException" when trying to run my main method directly. java -cp my.jar my.MainClass Is there a method I can use to run my main method in a spring boot jar (not via JarLauncher)? Has anyone successfully integrated spring-boot with procrun? I am aware of http://wrapper.tanukisoftware.com/. However due to their licence I can't use it. What happens when I stop the service at the moment is; windows fails to stop the service (but marks it as stopped), the service is still running (I can browse to localhost), There is no mention of the process in task manager (Not very good! unless I am being blind).

• MSBuild (.NET 4.0) access problems

  I'm using Cruise Control .NET as my build server (Windows 2008 Server). Yesterday I upgraded my ASP.NET MVC project from VS 2008/.NET 3.5 to VS 2010/.NET 4.0. The only change I made to my ccnet.config's MSBuild task was the location of MSBuild.exe. Ever since I made that change, the build has been broken with the error: MSB4019 - The imported project "C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft\VisualStudio\v10.0\WebApplications\Microsoft.WebApplication.targets" was not found. Confirm that the path in the declaration is correct, and that the file exists on disk. This file does, in fact, exist in the location specified (I solved a problem similar to this when setting up the build server for VS2008/.NET 3.5 by copying the files from my dev environment to my build environment). So I RDP'ed into the build machine and opened a command prompt, used MSBUILD to attempt to build my project. MSBUILD returns the error: MSB3021 - Unable to copy file "obj\debug....dll". Access to the path 'bin....dll' is denied. Since I'm running MSBUILD from the command prompt, logged in with an account that has administrative privileges, I'm assuming that MSBUILD is running with the same privileges that I have. Next, I tried to copy the file that MSBUILD was attempting to copy. In this case, I get the UAC dialog that makes me click the [Continue] button to complete the copy. I'd like to avoid installing Visual Studio 2010 on my build machine, can anyone suggest other fixes I might try?
