  • Compilation Error on Recursive Variadic Template Function

    I've prepared a simple variadic template test in Code::Blocks, but I'm getting an error: No matching function for call to 'OutputSizes()' Here's my source code: #include <iostream> #include <typeinfo> using namespace std; template <typename FirstDatatype, typename...     Hi, I want to know if there is any open source testing tool for cloud computing. We have built a cloud framework with Xen, Eucalyptus, Hadoop, HBase as different layers. I am not looking at testing each of these tools separately, but i want to test them from the perspective of fitting into a cloud environment (for example scalability of xen hypervisor to handle multiple VMs). Would be great if you can suggest me some tool (open source) for the above.

  • Qt compilation and stylesheet

    Each time I compile my Qt project after modifying my qss stylesheet file, the modifications aren't taken into account, unless I rebuild everything. Any idea on a workaround for this, so that I don't have to wait 5 minutes each time I change my qss ? Notes: I use Qt 4.8, and my stylsheet is declared in a resource file (qrc). EDIT: As suggested by Luca Carlon, when a qss is reference in the project through a .qrc file, the changes in the qss don't affect the qrc, and the compiler ignores it. To avoid that, I added a Custom Build Step to my project: before the qmake step! calls a .bat file without any argument the .bat contains the real command copy /b files.qrc +,,

But while i was following the fifth step(i.e. the one before make) on this page, i get an error at the last. configure: error: linker with -z relro support required Now after this if i call make i get an error make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop. I am running this on a ubuntu 12.04 machine. How to fix this error?

  • Detect template presence at compilation time

    GCC up to 4.5 doesn't have standard C++0x type trait template has_nothrow_move_constructor. I could use it in my package for optimization, but I don't want to rule out one of the common compilers and don't want to overload configuration with symbols like HAVE_STD_HAS_NOTHROW_MOVE_CONSTRUCTOR. Is it somehow possible to use that template if present and just fall back to copying if not present without using any predefined configuration symbols? I also don't want to depend on Boost, since my library is small and doesn't need Boost for any other reasons. In pseudocode, I need something like: template <typename type> struct has_nothrow_move_constructor_robust : public integral_constant <bool, /* if possible */ has_nothrow_move_constructor <type>::value /* otherwise */ false> { }; Since move constructors are only for C++0x anyway, I don't mind using other C++0x features for the above definition, if at all possible.

  • C++ conditional compilation

    I have the following code snippet #ifdef DO_LOG #define log(p) record(p) #else #define log(p) #endif void record(char *data){ ..... ..... } Now if I call log("hello world") in my code and DO_LOG isn't defined, will the line be compiled, in other words will it eat up the memory for the string "hello world"? P.S. There are a lot of record calls in the program and it is memory sensitive, so is there any other way to conditionally compile so that it only depends on the #define DO_LOG? Thanks in advance.

    Hi stackoverflow, I apologize in advance for the possible stupidity of this question. However, the following has been the source of some confusion for me and I know the people here will be able to handily clear up the confusion for me. Basically, I would like to finally understand the relationship between any and all of the following terms. Some of the terms I do actually understand pretty well, but some of them are similar in my mind and I would like to once and for all to see their relationships/distinctions laid out all at once. They are: compiler interpreter bytecode machine code assembler assembly language binary object code executable Ideally, an answer would use examples from Java and C++ and other well-known programming languages that a young-ish student like me would be familiar with. Also, if you want to throw in any other useful terms that would be fine too :)

Currently if i change some styles in my qss file but dont remove the file and re-add it to the qrc file the old version of my qss file is used. Thanks.

    I am trying to integrate PJNSMTPCONNECTION CLASSES in my project; they say that those classes do not use MFC. My project is with the setting like MT, and using standard library linking. When I try to compile, I am getting CSTRING not defined and fatal error C1189: #error : WINDOWS.H already included. MFC apps must not #include <windows.h> If I include afx.h and remove windows.h, I am getting iDLLMain already defined errors. How do I resolve these problems, please?

  • The linking is not done (gcc compilation)

    Hello everyone! So i have this issue : i am declaring some extern global variables in my C program. If I don't use the -c option for gcc, i get undefined references errors. But with that -c option, the linking is not done, which means that i don't have an executable generated. So how do I solve this? Here is my makefile. As I am not good with writing makefiles, I took one from another project then I changed a few things.   • Enable DLL compilation

    I have a VB.NET Project, and would like to, as with C# Projects, build and have dll files generated and dumped in the Bin/debug folder. Currently, I have the project configured for ANY CONFIGURATION and ALL CPUS but when I do a build, I still do not have a bin folder or a debug folder containing a DLL. What am I missing here please? Is there any free tool which will take a single image, and output a single image containing several rotations? It should also ideally let us control how many images are in each row. e.g if I have a 32x32 sprite and I want it rotated at 10 degree intervals, the tool might generate a 320x32 file or a 160x64 file

After unzipping, this is the structure of the files: executable_file config.mk doc include lib Makefile sources I have only worked with "usual" Makefile projects. But I do not undersatnd the meaning of config.mk here. Do you know which kind of "build" structure (what is the right name for this concept?) is it, and where can i find more information about this? I need to modify it, so it compiles in another hardware, so I do not know where I sohuld work on. Thanks
