    I was wondering if this is the correct way to have nested blocks working on the same variable in Objective C without causing any memory problems or crashes with ARC. It starts with a ASIHttpRequest complete block.     Hey, I'm trying to implement a ListView on Android, which will print the data retrieved from the SQLite Database. So I want to retrieve a lot of columns from the table and add this to a list, so I will print this list as a ListView. For this I created a method that will select all the columns from the table in a separate class, and I will print the ListView in a ListActivity. I want to retrieve 6 columns of the table, which is represented by the ids 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9.     I have metadata classes nested within entity classes, as I have always done, but suddenly, when I deploy to my target web site, and try and view a page, I get e.g. the following compile error: CS0102: The type 'PvmmsModel.ActivationResource' already contains a definition for 'ActivationResourceMetadata' My code for this type looks like below.     In SQL Server Reporting Services 2005, how can I filter a nested table within a list? I have 2 datasets. The first, datasetHeader, contains one row per account. The second, datasetDetails contains multiple rows per account. Control: Dataset name List: datasetHeader Table: datasetDetails The table is placed within the list. When I attempt to filter on the table, I get fields from datasetHeader instead of datasetDetails. Previously I had the table within a subreport, and I had that working by using parameters; however, I needed to pull it into the main report because of the implied KeepTogether=true property for subreports that was causing undesired pagination.

  • How to add a Fragment inside a ViewPager using Nested Fragment (Android 4.2)

    I have a ViewPager with three Fragments, each one shows a List (or Grid). In the new Android API level 17 (Jelly Bean 4.2), one of the features is Nested Fragments. The new functionality description says: if you use ViewPager to create fragments that swipe left and right and consume a majority of the screen space, you can now insert fragments into each fragment page. So, if I understand right, now I can create a ViewPager with Fragments (with a button inside for example) inside, and when user press the button show another Fragment without loose the ViewPager using this new feature. I expend my morning trying to implement this on several ways but I can´t made it... Can somebody show a simple example of how to do this? PS: I'm only interested in doing at this way, with getChildFragmentManager to learn how works.

  • Odd Drag and drag bug in nested attributes Rails

    I've got this weird bug when trying to use drag and drag for two models (one nested within another). I've a category model which has many apps. In my category index page, I tried use "content_tag_for" to sort categories and apps within each category. But for some odd reason only the first element has drag, drop enabled. I can drag and drop categories all I want, but I can't drag the app in the second category, just the first category. Copy and paste gets ridiculously hopeless with HAML, so here's a Pastie instead. I made a sample app on heroku for you to check out here. Drag and drag work for both category and app, so I'm guessing it has to do something with the ul or li. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

  • Changing values of (multiple) dropdown lists from one dropdown list in MVC

    I have an MVC page, with some controls inside a form. The part I need help with: I have a bunch of dropdowns in a list. All dynamically named (drop{0}, where {0} is the id (really, its just a counter: 1,2,3,etc)). At the top of the list, I want to have another dropdown that will update ALL the dropdowns when it is changed. I've done similar things with checkboxes (check one and all are checked, etc) so I assume this can be done, hopefully just as simple. I'd prefer it to be on the client side, so once the form is submitted, the new values will be added/updated to the database. Edit: The values of ALL the dropdowns are static. They are all a list of 1-50, representing the number of cards I need to produce for a given record. This is how I did the checkbox: $("#chkSelectAll").click(function() { $(".checkbox").attr('checked', this.checked); }); Any thoughts on where to begin? Thanks!

    I need to generate a CTL for use with IIS7. I generated a CTL file using MakeCTL (on Win2k3 SDK) and put only my own RootCA certificate in the CTL. However, when I then use adsutil.vbs to set my website to use this CTL, I get: ErrNumber: -2147023584 (0x80070520) Error Trying To SET the Property: SslCtlIdentifier I'm using adsutil.vbs like this: cscript adsutil.vbs set w3svc/2/SslCtlIdentifier where is the friendly name of the CTL The problem is, I am not able to set a friendly name. At the end of the wizard it says "Friendly Name: ". In IIS6 I can create a CTL with a friendly name (showing in Certificates MMC) but if I export it from there, when I import it, it no longer has a friendly name. Can anyone show me how to do it please?

    Hi, I'm gonna add authorization, user and groups management to my application, basically... you will can define a set of permissions for a concrete user or group. For example, you could specify whom can use a concrete resource. So I want to ensure that my assumptions about ACLs are right: A basic rule could be "Grant", "Deny", "NoSet". User permissions have priority over group permissions. "Deny" statement has priority over "Grant". For example, user "u1" belongs to group "A", the resource "X" has this ACL "u1:grant,A:deny" user "u1" should be able to access the resource, shouldn't it? If a resource has no ACL set... does it means that anyone can access it? should I provide a default ACL? Any document about ACL in a general way? Cheers.

    Well BindingList and ObservableCollection work great to keep data updated and to notify when one of it's objects has changed. However, when notifying a property is about to change, I think these options are not very good.   • ActiveReports nested subreport rendering resulting in error

    I'm having a problem with an ActiveReports(3.0) report which contains nested subreports. The problem is that the child/grandchild subreports are rendering before their predecessor has completed rendering so the XMLDataSource cannot be set properly. It seems to be a purely timing issue has occassionally if I am debugging the report in Visual Studio and stepping through the code the report will generate but mostly I get an error message: "FileURL not set or empty" The FileURL is supposed to be empty has we are dynamically loading the XML to the report. The structure of the report is: Parent Child1 Child2 GrandChild2-1 GrandChild2-2 I found one solution going back to 2004 on Data Dynamics website that you basically have to force the subreports to look at the parent. ((DataDynamics.ActiveReports.DataSources.XMLDataSource) subrpt.DataSource).FileURL = ((DataDynamics.ActiveReports.DataSources.XMLDataSource) this.DataSource).FileURL; This seemed to work for a while until I took out all my breakpoints and tried to run it and now it just gives me the error message. If anyone has ran across this or has any suggestions on getting around it, it would be greatly appreciated. Running ActiveReports 5.3.1436.2 thanks, Chris

    Hi, I am adding Apache Lucene support to Querydsl (which offers type-safe queries for Java) and I am having problems understanding how Lucene evaluates queries especially regarding negation in nested queries. For instance the following two queries in my opinion are semantically the same, but only the first one returns results. +year:1990 -title:"Jurassic Park" +year:1990 +(-title:"Jurassic Park") The simplified object tree in the second example is shown below. query : Query clauses : ArrayList [0] : BooleanClause "MUST" occur : BooleanClause.Occur "year:1990" query : TermQuery [1] : BooleanClause "MUST" occur : BooleanClause.Occur query : BooleanQuery clauses : ArrayList [0] : BooleanClause "MUST_NOT" occur : BooleanClause.Occur "title:"Jurassic Park"" query : TermQuery Lucene's own QueryParser seems to evaluate "AND (NOT" into the same kind of object trees.   • A question about "empty" lists in Python

    I've started teaching myself Python, and as an exercise I've set myself the task of generating lookup tables I need for another project. I need to generate a list of 256 elements in which each element is the value of math.sin(2pi/256). The problem is I don't know how to generate a list initialized to "dummy" values that I can then use a for loop to step through and assign the values of the sin function. Using list[] seems to create an "empty" list, but with no elements so I get a "list assignment index out of range" error in the loop. Is there a way to this other than explicitly creating a list declaration containing 256 elements all with "0" as a value? Thanks!

    I have a base table of Participants and Answers, with the following structure: ParticipantId, BusUnitId, QuestionNum, Answer. In this table, QuestionNum ranges, say, from 1 to 6. I also have two other tables that sort of link QuestionNum to the actual question table, BusUnitQuestions, and ParticipantQuestions. For each QuestionNum, I must get the actual question text, based on QuestionId. BusUnitId, QuestionId ParticipantId, QuestionId Now assuming records with QuestionNum from 1 to 6. BusUnitQuestions has 3 records, so QuestionNum 1 to 3 must join to Question on the QuestionId's from BusUnitQuestions, and QuestionNum 4 to 6 must join to Question on the QuestionId's from ParticipantQuestions. I assume I need to use ROW_NUMBER() in the subquery from BusUnitQuestions to join to my answer table, but I'm lost after that. If anyone at all understands me, do you have any suggestions?

I've poked around and I've decided to take the clearest approach and have structured my templates like so: # application.html.haml !!! %body %h1 Outermost Template = yield(:foobar) # inner.html.haml - content_for :foobar do %h2 Inner Template = yield = render :file => 'layouts/application' # foo_controller.rb layout 'inner' With all of this, I get a LocalJumpError with the message no block given. The stack traces are blank and pretty unhelpful. Any ideas? Are these known issues?

Here's the simplified code that the Code Analyzer was complaining about: Public Class CustomerSpeed Public Enum ProfitTypeEnum As Integer NotSpecified = 0 FlatAmount = 1 PercentOfProfit = 2 End Enum Private _ProfitTypeEnum As ProfitTypeEnum Public Sub New(ByVal profitType As ProfitTypeEnum) _ProfitTypeEnum = profitType End Sub End Class If the enum pertains only to the class, why is it a bad thing to make it a contained type within the class? Seems neater to me... Does anyone know what is meant by the following line?: Nested types include the notion of member accessibility, which some programmers do not understand clearly Using Namespaces to group the Class and Enum doesn't seem like a useful way to resolve this warning, since I would like both the enum to belong to the same parent level as the class name.

  • 100% height on nested table cell in IE

    I want a nested table to expand to the height of the enclosing cell. This works as expected in Firefox/Chrome/Safari, but not in IE7 or IE8. Please see the example here: http://www.bitmechanic.com/heightDemo.html The DOCTYPE is relevant. While the demo above validates as HTML 4.01 Strict, it does not render properly in IE7. If I remove the DOCTYPE entirely, or set it to HTML 3.2, it renders properly in IE. Any suggestions on how to get this to render in 4.01 (strict or loose)? The actual web site is a bit more complicated -- changing the DOCTYPE will cause all sorts of other problems. We're struggling to understand the (presumed) IE bug here and how to work around it. thanks -- James

  • Odd Drag and drop sorting error Rails for nested attributes

    I've got this weird bug when trying to use drag and drag for two models (one nested within another). I've a category model which has many apps. In my category index page, I tried use "content_tag_for" to sort categories and apps within each category. But for some odd reason only the first element has drag, drop enabled. I can drag and drop categories all I want, but I can't drag the app in the second category, just the first category. Copy and paste gets ridiculously hopeless with HAML, so here's a Pastie instead. I made a sample app on heroku for you to check out here. Drag and drag work for both category and app, so I'm guessing it has to do something with the ul or li. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
