• Issue with SOAPUI: running test for concurrency

  I am trying to test my web service using SOAPUI (the free version). For testing concurrency, I wished to fire concurrent threads from SOAPUI onto the service. But with the options, the thread count increases gradually (even in the burst mode). The machine where SOAPUI is installed is a WinXP machine. Can I actually do the concurrency testing? If so how? Please guide me. I am waiting for your answers and help.

• How to compile ocaml to native code

  i'm really interested learning ocaml, it fast (they said it could be compiled to native code) and it's functional. • jQuery Address - redirect after form submit

  Hello all, I use jQuery and AJAX to load content from links and forms into a content div. In addition I use the Address plugin to enable the back button and refresh. On the server side I use Java and Spring MVC. Since I'm using jQuery Address and AJAX the only page that is directly loaded is "index.html". Everything else is loaded into a content div, and what page to load is specified in the hash, ie. "index.html#/users/add.html" will load "users/add.html". Now, "users/add.html" contains a form for creating a new user. When the form is submitted and everything went OK, the controller redirects to "users/index.html". The problem is that jQuery Address doesn't know about the redirect, so the url will remain "index.html#/users/add.html". And this is a problem when you refresh the page and then get sent back to the form, instead of the index page. Is there a way to fix this problem? Thanks, Stian

  I have a simple Result class that used to be an Enum but has evolved into being its own class with its own table. public class Result { public static readonly Result Passed = new Result(StatusType.Passed) { Id = [Predefined] }; public static readonly Result NotRun = new Result(StatusType.NotRun) { Id = [Predefined] }; public static readonly Result Running = new Result(StatusType.Running) { Id = [Predefined] }; } Each of these predefined values has a row in the database at their predefined Guid Id. There is then a failed result that has an instance per failure: public class FailedResult : Result { public FailedResult(string description) : base(StatusType.Failed) { . . . } } I then have an entity that has a Result: public class Task { public Result Result { get; set; } } When I save a Task, if the Result is a predefined one, I want NHibernate to know that it doesn't need to save that to the database, nor does it need to fetch it from the database; I just want it to save by Id. The way I get around this is when I am setting up the session, I call a method to load the static entities: protected override void OnSessionOpened(ISession session) { LockStaticResults(session, Result.Passed, Result.NotRun, Result.Running); } private static void LockStaticResults(ISession session, params Result[] results) { foreach (var result in results) { session.Load(result, result.Id); } } The problem with the session.Load method call is it appears to be fetching to the database (something I don't want to do). How could I make this so it does not fetch the database, but trusts that my static (immutable) Result instances are both up to date and a part of the session?

  I have one table with two queries and I need to sort it with descending type using ORDER BY. I want to make an order that 1st will display note that has more messages to few, or by another words using DESCending type. This is the display on the page I want to do: Open dialog with name2. • ASP.NET MVC Ajax OnBegin/Complete Javascript Problem

  Hello, I am trying to fire off a javascript method using the OnBegin AjaxOption in an Ajax method. However, when debugging with firebug the callback in unable to find the Javascript method and I do not know why. My code is simple, first I use a basic Ajax method like this: <%= Ajax.ActionLink("Testing", "Testing", new AjaxOptions { OnBegin = "RunThisThing" }) % Then under it I decalre this script. <script type="text/javascript"> function RunThisThing { alert("WORK") } </script> Yet when I try running the page and clicking on the link, Firebug tells me "RunThisThing is not defined". Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

  Hi, I have a strange problem with a UIView : I want to show an Activity Indicator View that I created with Interface Builder to indicate long running activity. In the viewDidLoad function of my principal viewController I init the ActivityIndicator View like this : - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; appDelegate = (MyAppDelegate *)[[UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate]; load = [[ActivityIndicatorViewController alloc] init]; ... When I push a button it call this IBAction : - (IBAction)LaunchButtonPressed{ // Show the Activity indicator view. [load.view removeFromSuperview]; } In the StartWorking function, I ask a request to an internet serveur and parse the XML file that it return me. The problem is that if I Call my StartWorking function, the application do not start by showing the Activity Indicator view but with the StartWorking function. Whereas if I remove the call to StartWorking function, the view is shown. Is someone able to explain me why? :s

• jQuery UI + Gmaps = Problems (for me at least) HELP!!

  Hi there! I started using jQuery as soon as I found out about it, it is very powerfull but I started struggling when I tried to load Gmaps api into the tabs jQuery UI brings. Strangly enough in IE 6,7,8 it works fine, but in Firefox, Safari (I'm using mac but tested it in windows and they both give the same problems) the map doesn't load entirely. When I click on the tab where the map loads in, only part of the map is fully operational, the rest is grey and not clickable. Please take a look at the link below and click the third tab in firefox/safari and IE and you will see the problem. http://movewithusoverseas.com/index-new.php?z=product-info.html&pid=1 I don't know if it is a bug in the jQuery UI code or I'm doing something wrong. • Output reformatted text within a file included in a JSP

  I have a few HTML files that I'd like to include via tags in my webapp. Within some of the files, I have pseudo-dynamic code - specially formatted bits of text that, at runtime, I'd like to be resolved to their respective bits of data in a MySQL table. For instance, the HTML file might include a line that says: Welcome, [username]. I want this resolved to (via a logged-in user's data): Welcome, [email protected]. This would be simple to do in a JSP file, but requirements dictate that the files will be created by people who know basic HTML, but not JSP. Simple text-tags like this should be easy enough for me to explain to them, however. I have the code set up to do resolutions like that for strings, but can anyone think of a way to do it across files? I don't actually need to modify the file on disk - just load the content, modify it, and output it w/in the containing JSP file. I've been playing around with trying to load the files into strings via the apache readFileToString, but I can't figure out how to load files from a specific folder within the webapp's content directory without hardcoding it in and having to worry about it breaking if I deploy to a different system in the future.

  I'm trying to create something to read data from a .txt file, then populate data into .xls, but after open the .txt file, how do I get the data out? Basically I'm trying to get the the third column of the lines dated '04/06/2010'. After I open the .txt file, when I use ActiveSheet.Cells(row, col), the ActiveSheet is not pointing to .txt file. • How to identify a particular entity's Session Factory with Fluent NHibernate and Multiple Databases

  I've already asked this question as part of an answer to another question ( see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2655861/fluent-nhibernate-multiple-databases ) but thought it better to ask again here. My problem is this: I'm using Fluent NHibernate. My application uses multiple databases. Each database has its own entities registered (mapped) against it. The result is that have multiple Session Factories, each one relating to a single DB, and each 'containing' its own set of mapped entities. For loading entities I've created a generic Factory class that provides some standard load methods usable for any registered entity (in any DB). The problem is: The load methods need to use the correct session factory for the entity class I'm busy dealing with. How would I determine which session factory I need to use? I have all the Session Factories 'on hand' (and indexed by database name), I just need a way, knowing just the type of Entity I'm about to load, of choosing the right Session Factory to use. For example: public IBaseBusinessObject CreatePopulatedInstance(Type boType, Guid instanceKey) { IBaseBusinessObject result = null; ISessionFactory sessionFactory = GetSessionFactory(boType); using (ISession session = sessionFactory.OpenSession()) { using (session.BeginTransaction()) { result = (IBaseBusinessObject)session.Get(boType, instanceKey); } } return result; } What needs to go on in GetSessionFactory(boType) ? • .NET Remoting Client's Problem when running on the machine with Multi NICs

  I built a .NET Remoting Client which works quite fine on the machine of single NIC, and lots of testing messages received via remoting event. But when additional NIC was added, the Client seemed to be able to connect the remoting Server, but the testing messages cannot arrive anymore. From debugging, the server end did trigger the event but the client didn't get that.   I am load testing my webservice and get a System.ServiceModel.CommunicationException when I use 10 threads to communicate to it (without any sleep in between) - basically testing 10 conenctions at a time - through a windows application An error occurred while receiving the HTTP response to http://localhost/XXX/XXXService.asmx. This could be due to the service endpoint binding not using the HTTP protocol. This could also be due to an HTTP request context being aborted by the server (possibly due to the service shutting down). See server logs for more details. I want to detect the failure of this codeline and execute again until it successfully executes! I tried using "TRY CATCH and WHILE methods": bool flag = true; do { try { xslTransform.Load(strXmlQueryTransformPath, xslSettings, new XmlUrlResolver()); flag = false; } catch { flag = true; } } while (flag); but the problem is "error is getting logged in the log file", Well. The whole code is under one more try statement, which I suspect is writing to log. Which is what I don't want... I don't want end user to know about the failure of this codeline. Is there anyway to get it done?

• Make a connection to a HTTPS server from Java and ignore the validity of the security certificate

  I've been testing some that works with a bunch of https servers with different keys, some of which are invalid and all of them are not in the local key store for my JVM. I am really only testing things out, so I don't care about the security at this stage. Is there a good way to make POST calls to the server and tell Java not to worry about the security certificates? My google searches for this have brought up some code examples that make a class to do the validation, that always works, but I cannot get it to connect to any of the servers.

  I have a menu in Rails which grabs a nested tree of Post models, each which have a Slug model associated via a polymorphic association (using the friendly_id gem for slugs and awesome_nested_set for the tree).   I have a VDD dll that's loaded by a DOS program running inside the NTVDM. This dll uses C++/CLI and references a .NET assembly. All in all, the loading process is something like this: NTVDM runs: prntsr.com which uses VDD RegisterModule to load: prnvdd.dll which references .NET assembly: prnlib.dll The prntsr.com, prnvdd.dll and prnlib.dll files are all in the same folder. • Perl Module from relative path not working in IIS6

  Disclaimer: I am not a PERL developer and am learning by the seat of my pants. I am using a Perl module called from a CGI scipt in IIS 6 that is bombing. The identical folder structure on an XP machine (IIS 5.1) works fantastic. If I remove the module loading command at line 9, it will print "about to load" and "ok", but When I try to run use Language::Guess; I receive The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers. in the browser. The folder structure is /cgi-bin/test.pl /PerlModules/Language/Guess.pm I have tried adjusting the file/folder permissions and have reviewed my IIS configuration time and again. It runs fine from the command line on the IIS machine or if I copy the module into \Perl\site\lib, but I don't have permission to load modules on the shared server this script is destined for. Am I missing something simple?
