  I have a virtual machine on Vsphere 5.0 running Ubuntu 12.04 when i put dinamic IP (/etc/network/interfaces) iface eth0 inet dhcp Ubuntu have network and i can do ping to google for example (8.8.8.8) but when i put static IP and configure resolv.conf My interfaces file: auto eth0 iface eth0 inet static address 192.168.1.54 gateway 192.168.1.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 it lost the network and i cant do ping to anything...i dont understand where is the problem... • Telerik RadEditor filestream/string save to RTF

  Hi, The required functionality I am aiming for is to pull out RTF content from a database, edit it through a web interface (with a WYSIWYG editor) and then place the modified text back in to the database (in RTF format). The control that I am using to do this is Telerik RadEditor (we have a license already for these controls). In the most recent version there appears to be functionality to load in RTF content from a string or a stream, but the only method I can see that is exposed for getting RTF back out is exportToRTF(); this method modified the headers and allows you to save a RTF version of the content you have just edited as a file. The functionality to convert from HTML to RTF must exist somewhere within their library as you can export a RTF file, but I can not find any publicly exposed methods to pass this in to a stream or a string. Does anybody know of a way that I can convert the HTML back to RTF using the Telerik libraries without saving out to a file? Thanks

  I overused hashSets but it was slow, then changed to Stacks, speed boost-up. Poly's reply uses Collections.emptyList() as immutable list, cutting out excess null-checkers. No Collections.emptyStack(). Combining the words stack and immutability, from the last experiences, gets "immutable stack" (probably not related to functional prog). Java Api 5 for list interface shows that Stack is an implementing class for list and arraylist, here. The java.coccurrent pkg does not have any immutable Stack data structure. The first hinted of misusing stack. The lack of immutabily in the last and poly's book recommendation leads way to list. Something very primitive, fast, no extra layers, with methods like emptyThing(). • C# How to get the current project directory or the bin directory and move a few level up?

  Hi there, I have an ASP.Net MVC app, and i have some xsl files inside of the Content directory. I've try a few methods to get directory dynamically buy keep on coming short. So how do i get the directory to point to the Content/xsl folder? the closest that i came to was with this: this.GetType().Assembly.CodeBase which only returns the project DLL, but i can't figure out how to move up a few levels from there or what .net library to use to navigate around the path. there's no ../.. :( Basically i want to navigate to the Content/xsl folder which is at the same level of the Bin directory. Any idea? thanks.

  Hello, I'm running a few unit tests that requires a connection to the database. When my test project get initialized, a snapshot of the database is created, and when tests are done the database gets restored back to the snapshot. Here is the implementation: [TestClass] public static class AssemblyInitializer { [AssemblyInitialize()] public static void AssemblyInit(TestContext context) { var dbss = new DatabaseSnapshot(...); dbss.CreateSnapshot(); } [AssemblyCleanup()] public static void AssemblyCleanup() { var dbss = new DatabaseSnapshot(...); dbss.RevertDatabase(); } } Now this all works, but my problem arise when I have a failing test or some exception. The AssemblyCleanup is of course not invoked, so how can I solve this problem? No matter what happens, the snapshot has to be restored. Is this possible?

  Hi All, I'm currently struggling with this "Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute" issue. I have searched about this error message, and it's all related to the foreach statement. I do have the some foreach statements, but they are just simply representing the data. I did not using any remove or add inside the foreach statement. NOTE: The error randomly happens (about 4-5 times a day). The application is the MVC website. There are about 5 users operate this applications (about 150 orders a day). Could it be some another users modified the collection, and then occur this error?   I wrote some AES encryption code in C# and I am having trouble getting it to encrypt and decrypt properly. If I enter "test" as the passphrase and "This data must be kept secret from everyone!" • sqllite and populating list view, android

  I am populating a text and list view from a sqllite database. The data is populating from the cursor correctly (I see the list filling with text rows), but I'm not able to see the actual text in the rows - all I see are empty rows. For the life of me, I can't figure out what I'm not able to see the data in the text rows. • Getting mydomain.com/subdomain to resolve to subdomain.mydomain.com

  I have content on subdomain1.mydomain.com which can't reside on mydomain.com/subdomain1. Nevertheless, all my other content resides in folders of the mydomain.com/subdomain* type. For the sake of consistency, I'd like the content actually located at subdomain1.mydomain.com to appear as if it were on mydomain.com/subdomain1 — Is there any way, using .htaccess, that I can achieve this, bearing in mind that: (1) the subdomain itself also has a nested permalink structure, meaning that there are additional folders in the directory structure of the subdomain; (2) I want the browser to display the address as mydomain/subdomain1 after the redirect.

• Multiple calls with Simple Modal OSX Style Dialog

  I am using Simple Modal, the OSX style version. I have two calls to the modal and therefore two versions of content. When either of the buttons is clicked it selects only the first lot of content. There is nowhere to put a hook on the content like most modal windows as there is no javascript on the page to add parameters... only an external .js file which I don't want to touch for obvious reasons.   Hi I am am trying to catch mouse movements for a MouseOver function in an app created with Code::Blocks using the wxSmith plugin. I have stumbled upon a puzzling problem. EVT_MOUSEWHEEL calling the function in the EventTable works well, but all other macros have no result at all. And the mousewheel is not really want I want (I just used it to test...) • callback execution order in jQuery getJSON

  I'm trying to implement a iGoogle like dashboard interface using widgets that get their content from other sites using JSONP calls. The problem is that if the first widget that calls the "$.ajax" takes 8 seconds to get the content back, it seems that the callbacks of the other widgets will only be called after the callback of the first widget gets executed. For the user experience, it would be better if the widgets could be displayed as soon as they get the content back from the remote sites, and not wait for those that were scheduled before to complete. Is there a way I can do that?

• Silverlight Chat WrapPanel Crash / Bug

  I've been given the task to create a simple Silverlight chat box for two people. My control must adhere to the following requirements Scrollable Text must wrap if it's too long When a new item / message is added it must scroll that item into view Now I've successfully made a usercontrol to meet these requirements, but I've run into a possible bug / crash that I can't for the life of me fix. I'm looking for either a fix to the bug, or a different approach to creating a scrollable chat control. Here's the code I've been using. The problem I'm getting is when I use the scroll bar. You can scroll down using the side scroll bar or arrow keys, but when you scroll up Silverlight crashes. FireBug returns a ManagedRuntimeError #4004 with a XamlParseException. I'm soo close to having this control work, I can taste it! Any thoughts on what I should do or change? Is there a better approach than the one I've taken? Thanks in advance. UPDATE I've found an alternative solution using a ScrollViewer and an ItemsControl instead of a ListBox control. For the most part it's stable.

How can I make this work?

  Hi, im getting "Bus Error" trying to read stdin into a char* variable. I just want to read whole stuff coming over stdin and put it first into a variable, then continue working on the variable. My Code is as follows: char* content; char* c; while( scanf( "%c", c)) { strcat( content, c); } fprintf( stdout, "Size: %d", strlen( content)); But somehow i always get "Bus error" returned by calling "cat test.txt | myapp", where "myapp" is the compiled code above. My question is how do i read stdin until EOF into a variable? As you see in the code, i just want to print the size of input coming over stdin, in this case it should be equal to the size of the file "test.txt". I thought just using scanf would be enough, maybe buffered way to read stdin?

• Firefox extension that overlays persistent iFrame?

  Is it possible to build a Firefox extension that displays a floating, persistent iFrame over the page content? I know it's possible to add iFrames using XUL. For instance, you can add an iFrame to a persistent sidebar. However, I want the iFrame to float over the page content, not cause the content to shrink. So far, my only option is to add the iFrame to the DOM, then use CSS "fixed" positioning to float the iFrame. The iFrame must also persist across page loads, exactly as the sidebar does. Adding an iFrame to the DOM, unfortunately, causes the iFrame to vanish when the browser renders a new page (e.g., after clicking a link). Any clues? Thanks!

• AJAX binds jquery events multiple times

  Hi... I have a masterpage setup, with a pageLoad in the topmost masterpage, which calls pageLoad2 for nested masterpages which calls pageLoad3 for content pages. In my content page I have a jquery click event and in my nested masterpage I have a web user control. Whenever I use the user control in the nested masterpage, it rebinds the click event in the content page (undoubtedly because the pageLoad3 is called again), but this makes the click event fire twice on a single click. The problem gets worse the higher up masterpages you go (eg. fires 3 times if user control from topmost masterpage is called). Can anyone tell me how to make sure it only binds the jquery events once?
