• Word Opening Text Files by default as RTL, should be LTR

  I've noticed recently that Microsoft Word 2007 on Windows XP is opening by default straight text files as RTL instead of LTR. These are English written files, and contain no Unicode or characters other than ASCII. I work in three or four languages on the computer so have the language bar open, this problem happens when the language is selected to EN (United Kingdom). Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere, perhaps in Word itself?

• My hard drive can only boot once every two times

  Hi all, I just installed a Kingston 64 GB SSD into my laptop, replacing the old 80 GB 5400 RPM one. The drive starts up and works fine every other time. For example, if I'm running normally, and press "Restart", I get: 2100 Initialization error on HDD0. I turn off the computer manually, restart, and...it boots into Ubuntu again. This happens every other time without fail...anyone know what the problem could be?

  If I have a web server on my home network I can connect to it from work with http://my.external.ip/whatever/ (assuming NAT and forwarding). Naturally I have a bookmark in my browser that points to http://my.external.ip/whatever/ however when I use that bookmark on my home computer (also behind NAT) the link does not work because my firewall blocks it. (firewall is a old'ish Dlink) What is the best way to fix this issue?

I'm aware of Audio Hijack Pro but that really does much more than I'm looking for and comes with a steep price tag.   This started a few weeks ago and we thought it was a virus so we checked every computer and all though 50%(Yeah, that's right) were infected once they were cleaned the problem didn't go away.   I accidentally renamed the username of my account on my Mac (running OS X 10.4.11) and tried renaming back to what it was but now I have two accounts (the one I want to use which has all my preferences, applications, mail boxes, etc., and the new one). Is it possible to copy my settings from my original account into this new user name? When I open my computer, it defaults to this new account, and I cannot gain access to all my work documents, mail settings etc.

  I have the choice of setting up a system with two SSD Drives in Raid 1 mode as my boot drive for Windows 7 64-bit. With the Program Files and User Folders moved to a Second regular HD Drive also configured using Raid 1. Or Setup a single SSD Drive (120 GB or 256 gb) as a cache Drive using Intel Rapid Storage Technology combined with two normal hard drives configured as Raid 1. Which setup would have the faster hard drive performance over the life of the computer?
