    Hi, I'm trying to execute 'OrganizeImports' programmatically on files that I'm editing programmatically. I have used this to successfully execute insert queries so I know the connection works etc however queries with the "into outfile" statement are simply not executing.   • Trappings MySQL Warnings on Calls Wrapped in Classes -- Python

    I can't get Python's try/else blocks to catch MySQL warnings when the execution statements are wrapped in classes. I have a class that has as a MySQL connection object as an attribute, a MySQL cursor object as another, and a method that run queries through that cursor object. The cursor is itself wrapped in a class. These seem to run queries properly, but the MySQL warnings they generate are not caught as exceptions in a try/else block. Why don't the try/else blocks catch the warnings? How would I revise the classes or method calls to catch the warnings? Also, I've looked through the prominent sources and can't find a discussion that helps me understand this. I'd appreciate any reference that explains this. Please see code below.   • How can I load a sql "dump" file into sql alchemy

    I have a large sql dump file ... with multiple CREATE TABLE and INSERT INTO statements. Is there any way to load these all into a SQLAlchemy sqlite database at once. I plan to use the introspected ORM from sqlsoup after I've created the tables. However, when I use the engine.execute() method it complains: sqlite3.Warning: You can only execute one statement at a time. Is there a way to work around this issue. Perhaps splitting the file with a regexp or some kind of parser, but I don't know enough SQL to get all of the cases for the regexp. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Will EDIT: Since this seems important ... The dump file was created with a MySQL database and so it has quite a few commands/syntax that sqlite3 does not understand correctly.

    I have a sql file test.sql used to run some SQL (create object / update / delete / insert) that can look like this CREATE TABLE test_dbi1 ( test_dbi_intr_no NUMBER(15) , test_dbi_name VARCHAR2(100); UPDATE mytable SET col1=1; CREATE TABLE test_dbi2 ( test_dbi_intr_no NUMBER(15) , test_dbi_name VARCHAR2(100); Usually, i would just use SQLPLUS (from within Perl) to execute this test.sql using this command : @test.sql Is there a way to do the same thing, using DBI in Perl ? So far, i found DBI can only execute one statement at a time, and without the ";" at the end.

    I was wondering if you could help me find why I cannot install Ruby on Rails on my MBP with OS X Mountain Lion. It's a weird problem and I'll give you as much info as I can. I've installed ruby and it's working at version 1.9.3 And I've installed ruby gems and it's worked for every other gem I've tried to install. It's version is 1.8.24 When I run $ sudo gem install rails it replies with the message: Successfully installed rails-3.2.8 1 gem installed Although when I ask it rails -v it returns: `Rails is not currently installed on this system. To get the latest version, simply type: $ sudo gem install rails You can then rerun your "rails" command.` What should I do? The rails bash file (/usr/bin/rails) contains: #!/usr/bin/ruby # Stub rails command to load rails from Gems or print an error if not installed. require 'rubygems' version = ">= 0" if ARGV.first =~ /^_(.*)_$/ and Gem::Version.correct? $1 then version = $1 ARGV.shift end begin gem 'railties', version or raise rescue Exception puts 'Rails is not currently installed on this system.   • Visual Studio 2008 Unit test does not pick up code changes unless I build the entire solution

    Here's the scenario: Change my code: Change my unit test for that code With the cursor inside the unit test class/method, invoke VS2008's "Run tests in current context" command The visual studio "Output" window indicates that the code dll and the test dll both successfully build (in that order) The problem is however, that the unit test does not use the latest version of the dll which it has just built. Instead, it uses the previously built dll (which doesn't have the updated code in it), so the test fails. When adding a new method, this results in a MethodNotImplementedException, and when adding a class, it results in a TypeLoadException, both because the unit test thinks the new code is there, and it isn't!. If I'm just updating an existing method, then the test just fails due to incorrect results. I can 'work around' the problem by doing this Change my code: Change my unit test for that code Invoke VS2008's 'Build Solution' command With the cursor inside the unit test class/method, invoke VS2008's "Run tests in current context" command The problem is that doing a full build solution (even though nothing has changed) takes upwards of 30 seconds, as I have approx 50 C# projects, and VS2008 is not smart enough to realize that only 2 of them need to be looked at. Having to wait 30 seconds just to change 1 line of code and re-run a unit test is abysmal. Is there anything I can do to fix this? None of my code is in the GAC or anything funny like that, it's just ordinary old dll's (buiding against .NET 3.5SP1 on a win7/64bit machine) Please help!

  • IIS 6+ASP.NET - many temp files generated

    I have a ASP.NET + some .NET web-services running on IIS 6 (win 2003 server). The issue is that IIS is generating a lot (!) of files in "c:\WINDOWS\Temp" directory. a lot of files means thousands of files, which get to more than 3G of size so far. What is causing IIS to generate so many files? How can I prevent it? UPDATE: The problem is that the command i described above (csc.exe) is being executed many (many) times, causing the .out & .err to be generated so many times, until it consumes the disk space. So - my question is: what is causing this command to run so many times? (i don't have that many .aspx & .asmx files in my web app). Thanks, Moe

    Hi I'm developing an activity that binds to a local service (in onCreate of the activity): bindService(new Intent(this, CommandService.class), svcConn, BIND_AUTO_CREATE); I would like to be able to call methods through the IBinder in my lifecycle methods, but can not be sure that onServiceConnected have been called prior to these. I'm thinking of handling this by adding a queue of sorts in the ServiceConnection implementation, so that the method calls (Command pattern) will be executed once the connection is established. My questions are then: Is this stupid, any better ways? :) Are there any specification for which thread will be used to execute the ServiceConnection callbacks? More to the point, do I need to worry about synchronizing a queue datastructure?   • JAVA: 500 Worker Threads, what kind of thread pool?

    I am wondering if this is the best way to do this. I have about 500 threads that run indefinitely, but Thread.sleep for a minute when done one cycle of processing. ExecutorService es = Executors.newFixedThreadPool(list.size()+1); for (int i = 0; i < list.size(); i++) { es.execute(coreAppVector.elementAt(i)); //coreAppVector is a vector of extends thread objects } I do need a separate threads for each running task, so changing the architecture isn't an option. I tried making my threadPool size equal to Runtime.getRuntime().availableProcessors() which attempted to run all 500 threads, but only let 8 (4xhyperthreading) of them execute. The other threads wouldn't surrender and let other threads have their turn. I tried putting in a wait() and notify(), but still no luck. If anyone has a simple example or some tips, I would be grateful!

    I'm using ADO.Net's ExecuteNonQuery to call a stored procedure, works like a charm stand-alone but when implementing it where it should be called I'm running into problems concerning transactions. For example System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Transaction count after EXECUTE indicates a mismatching number of BEGIN and COMMIT statements. Previous count = 1, current count = 0. and also a timeout right after that. I've just found out the method which calls the stored procedure is marked with the following WCF attribute: [OperationBehavior(TransactionScopeRequired = true, TransactionAutoComplete = true)] How will this influence the call my stored procedure? How can I tell .Net to execute the stored procedure outside this transaction? The stored procedure contains insert statements and also a transaction, but removing them doesn't change the behavior...

  • How can I generate a FindBugs report that shows me the bugs removed between two revisions in the bug

    I am attempting to execute a combination of the FindBugs commands filterBugs and convertXmlToText, against a bug database that I created, to generate a report that shows me the all of the bugs removed between two revisions of the system that I am working on. Unfortunately, the resulting report does not show any bug details. It appears that the convertXmlToText throws away all bugs that are dead (aka inactive)... the exact set of bugs that I'd like to see. I have a file upload form and whatever file is uploaded suppose(abc.fasta) then i want to pass same name in execute (abc.fasta) function parameter and display function parameter (abc.aln). Right now i am changing file name manually, but i want to have it automatically. Workflow goes like this. ----If submit is not true then display only header and form part --- if submit is true then call execute() and get file name from form input --- Then display the save file result in the same page.     I use Netbeans IDE (6.5) and I have a SQLite 2.x database. I installed a JDBC SQLite driver from zentus.com and added a new driver in Nebeans services panel. Then tried to connect to my database file from Services Databases using this URL for my database: jdbc:sqlite:/home/farzad/netbeans/myproject/mydb.sqlite but it fails to connect.     I am running net share from a ruby script to delete a windows network share. If files on the share are in use, net share will ask the user if they want to go ahead with the deletion, so my script needs to inspect the output from the command, and write out Y if it detects that net share is asking it for input. In order to be able to write out to the process I open it with access flags "r+". When attempting to write to the process with IO#puts, I get an error: Errno::EPIPE: Broken pipe What am I doing wrong here?   • shell script filter du and find by a string inside a file in a subfolder

    I have the following command that I run on cygwin: find /cygdrive/d/tmp/* -maxdepth 0 -mtime -150 -type d | xargs du --max-depth=0 > foldersizesreport.csv I intended to do the following with this command: for each folder under /d/tmp/ that was modified in last 150 days, check its total size including files within it and report it to file foldersizesreport.csv however that is now not good enough for me, as it turns out inside each /d/tmp/subfolder1/somefile.properties /d/tmp/subfolder2/somefile.properties /d/tmp/subfolder3/somefile.properties /d/tmp/subfolder4/somefile.properties so as you see inside each subfolderX there is a file named somefile.properties inside it there is a property SOMEPROPKEY=3808612800100 (among other properties) this is the time in millisecond, i need to change the command so that instead of -mtime -150 it will include in the whole calculation only subfolderX that has a file inside them somefile.properties where the SOMEPROPKEY=3808612800100 is the time in millisecond in future, if the value SOMEPROPKEY=23948948 is in past then dont at all include the folder in the foldersizesreport.csv because its not relevant to me. so the result report should be looking like: /d/tmp/,subfolder1,<itssizein KB> /d/tmp/,subfolder2,<itssizein KB> and if subfolder3 had a SOMEPROPKEY=34243234 (time in ms in past) then it would not be in that csv file. so basically I'm looking for: find /cygdrive/d/tmp/* -maxdepth 0 -mtime -150 -type d | <only subfolders that have in them property in file SOMEPROPKEY=28374874827 - time in ms in future and not in past | xargs du --max-depth=0 > foldersizesreport.csv

  • Boost::Asio - Remove the "null"-character in the end of tcp packets.

    I'm trying to make a simple msn client mostly for fun but also for educational purposes. And I started to try some tcp package sending and receiving using Boost Asio as I want cross-platform support. I have managed to send a "VER"-command and receive it's response. However after I send the following "CVR"-command, Asio casts an "End of file"-error. After some further researching I found by packet sniffing that my tcp packets to the messenger server got an extra "null"-character (Ascii code: 00) at the end of the message. This means that my VER-command gets an extra character in the end which I don't think the messenger server like and therefore shuts down the connection when I try to read the CVR response. This is how my package looks when sniffing it, (it's Payload): (Hex:) 56 45 52 20 31 20 4d 53 4e 50 31 35 20 43 56 52 30 0a 0a 00 (Char:) VER 1 MSNP15 CVR 0... and this is how Adium(chat client for OS X)'s package looks: (Hex:) 56 45 52 20 31 20 4d 53 4e 50 31 35 20 43 56 52 30 0d 0a (Char:) VER 1 MSNP15 CVR 0.. So my question is if there is any way to remove the null-character in the end of each package, of if I've misunderstood something and used Asio in a wrong way.     I'm wondering that is it possible to convert the executed query result to a list of models. I'm using Ruby with ActiveRecord and need to execute custom SQL query to join two or many tables. The code looks like below: connection = ActiveRecord::Base.connection sql = "select T1.f1, T2.f2 from T1 left join T2 on T1.id = T2.id" @result = connection.execute(sql) In Ruby code, I defined a models to manage the executed SQL result: class Model property :f1, :f2 end Is there any way to convert @result to list of Model object? so I can deal with each item in the list as following @result.each do |item| puts item.f1 puts item.f2 end
