    Hi, I am fairly new to scala and I have the need to convert a string that is pipe delimited to one that is comma delimited, with the values wrapped in quotes and any quotes escaped by "\" in c# i would probably do this like this string st = "\"" + oldStr.Replace("\"", "\\\\\"").Replace("|", "\",\"") + "\"" I haven't validated that actually works but that is the basic idea behind what I am trying to do. Is there a way to do this easily in scala?

  • Extjs Form Action Submit - Custom override?

    Looking at the source code of Action.Submit, I'm trying to figure out where ext is appending the form's fields to the parameters. Instead of sending each field as a separate parameter, I want to send something like: formObj:{field1:value, field2:value} Currently, each of those values are simply added to the parameter list along with any custom/baseParams. Where are these formfields being added so that I can change this behaviour? Thanks.

    In R, given a vector casp6 <- c(0.9478638, 0.7477657, 0.9742675, 0.9008372, 0.4873001, 0.5097587, 0.6476510, 0.4552577, 0.5578296, 0.5728478, 0.1927945, 0.2624068, 0.2732615) and a factor: trans.factor <- factor (rep (c("t0", "t12", "t24", "t72"), c(4,3,3,3))) I want to create a plot where the data points are grouped as defined by the factor. So the categories should be on the x-axis, values in the same category should have the same x coordinate. Simply doing plot(trans.factor, casp6) does almost what I want, it produces a boxplot, but I want to see the individual data points.

  • SQL Server authentication - limit access to database to only connect through application

    I have a database which users should not be able to alter data in unless they use the specific app. I know best practice is to use windows authentication however that would mean that users could then connect to the database using any other data enabled app and change values which would then not be audited. Unfortunately SQL 2008 with its inbuilt auditing is not available. Any ideas how to ensure that users cannot change anything unless its through the controlling app?

  • What are useful functions for drawing text (MFC)?

    I'm creating a line chart control, and I need to write (or better say draw) the axis names and axis values. I found DrawText and TextOut functions, but the text they show is flickering and don't know how to set the font and text orientation (I will need vertical text orientation as well as horizontal).     I've always been interested in how you can throw some SQL at at database, and it nearly instantaneously returns your results in an orderly manner without thinking about it as anything other than a black box. What is really going on? I'm pretty sure it has something to do with how values are laid out regularly in memory, similar to an array; but aside from that, I don't know much else. How is SQL parsed in a manner to facilitate all of this?

  • iPhone SDK reload UIView's content

    I have two views, one view takes the whole screen, the second view covers only a little portion. What I want is for that second view to be on the first view (which I already have done), but the problem is, when I set values (in this case UILabel's) the label on the screen doesn't display that new value. I know for a fact the method gets called, but for some reason it won't change the label's value.

In the index of my iFrame app I have the user establish a new sessions and set the $me and $uid variables as displayed in their example.     Hi Folks, I've never come across this before: I have a series of text boxes. The text of these boxes get set on page load. then I have a submit button that calls a sub to update the table with the new values (text) in the text box. The problem is it is keeping the original text not the text that is CURRENTLY in the textbox. Anyone come across this before? Or know how to get round it? Cheers, Jonesy

  • Grails validateable not work for non-persistent domain class

    I followed the instruction here: http://www.grails.org/doc/latest/guide/7.%20Validation.html and added into config.groovy: grails.validateable.classes = [liningtest.Warm'] Then added in src/groovy/Warm.groovy (it's a non-persistent domain class): package liningtest import org.codehaus.groovy.grails.validation.Validateable class Warm { String name; int happyCite; Warm(String n, int h) { this.name = n; this.happyCite = h; } static constraints = { name(size: 1..50) happyCite(min: 100) } } But it just doesn't work (both "blank false" & "size: 0..25") for the "hasErrors" function. It always returns false, even when the name is 25. Is this a Grails bug, if yes, is there any work-around? I'm using Grails 1.3.3 UPDATE: I have updated the simplified code. And now I know that constraint "size" can't be used with "blank", but still does not work.     I would like to validate an embedded form field before it gets saved in the database. Currently it will save an empty value into the database if the form field is empty. I'm allowing empty fields, but I want nothing inserted if the form field is empty. Also quick question, how to alter field values before validating/saving an embedded form field? $this-form-getObject works in the action, but $this-embeddedForm-getObject says object not found

  • How do you sort a C# dictionary by value?

    I often have a Dictionary of keys & values and need to sort it by value. For example, I have a hash of words and their frequencies, and want to order them by frequency. There's SortedList which is good for a single value (frequency), but I want to map it back to the word. SortedDictionary orders by key, not value. Some resort to a custom class, but what's the cleanest way?
