  • Getting count() of class static array

    - by xylar
    Is it possible to get the count of a class defined static array? For example: class Model_Example { const VALUE_1 = 1; const VALUE_2 = 2; const VALUE_3 = 3; public static $value_array = array( self::VALUE_1 => 'boing', self::VALUE_2 => 'boingboing', self::VALUE_3 => 'boingboingboing', ); public function countit() { // count number $total = count(self::$value_array ); echo ': '; die($total); } } At the moment calling the countit() method returns :

  • struct with template variables in c++

    - by monkeyking
I'm playing around with template, so I'm not trying to reinvent the std::vector, I'm trying to get a grasp of templateting in c++. Can I do the following template <typename T> typedef struct{ size_t x; T *ary; }array; What I'm trying to do is a basic templated version of typedef struct{ size_t x; int *ary; }iArray; It looks like its working if I use a class instead of struct, so is it not possible with typedef structs? thanks

  • how to hack this php class for parse ZIP file in random or specific order

    - by Jesse
My English is poor so I will make it short. Right now, I have imzip.zip which has three txt files: a.txt b.txt c.txt When I try to load imzip.zip using: http://pastebin.com/m1d974990 It loads the files alphabetically. In this case: a.txt b.txt c.txt However, I would like to be able to have the class load on different variables such as by size, date or simply random. The problem is I have no idea how I would go about modifying the class to fit my needs. I would really appreciate your help! :D

  • C++ - defining static const integer members in class definition

    - by HighCommander4
My understanding is that C++ allows static const members to be defined inside a class so long as it's an integer type. Why, then, does the following code give me a linker error? #include <algorithm> #include <iostream> class test { public: static const int N = 10; }; int main() { std::cout << test::N << "\n"; std::min(9, test::N); } The error I get is: test.cpp:(.text+0x130): undefined reference to `test::N' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status Interestingly, if I comment out the call to std::min, the code compiles and links just fine (even though test::N is also referenced on the previous line). Any idea as to what's going on? My compiler is gcc 4.4 on Linux.

  • Constant template parameter class manages to link externally

    - by the_drow
I have a class foo with an enum template parameter and for some reason it links to two versions of the ctor in the cpp file. enum Enum { bar, baz }; template <Enum version = bar> class foo { public: foo(); }; // CPP File #include "foo.hpp" foo<bar>::foo() { cout << "bar"; } foo<baz>::foo() { cout << "baz"; } I'm using msvc 2008, is this the standard behavior? Are only type template parameters cannot be linked to cpp files?

  • jQuery: exclude class on click

    - by Kevin Brown
//Table select $("#reports-table tr").click( function() { var detail_id = $(this).attr('id'); $(this).addClass("selected"); $(this).siblings().removeClass("selected"); $('#reports-right').show().load('/members/details/'+detail_id); $('#reports-table').width(680); } ); I currently am using this code to add a selected class to a table row and show details of the row clicked in a right 'aside'. The problem is, I have action buttons in the row--when they are clicked, becausee they are children of the tr, this function still runs... How can I exclude a certain class?

  • conditional inline div styling (help!)

    - by AMC
I have div that I need to be present on every page, yet at a different length depending on the exact page. So far, I have this: <div class="above <?php if (is_page(12)) echo 'short'; ?>"> //content </div><!-- end above --> How do I go about adding something to the avail of <?php if (is_page(24, 26, 28)) echo 'med'; ?> (on page 12 I need the "short" length, and on pages 24, 26, 28 I need the "med" length of the div) Any help is appreciated. I'm just now diving into php and while I do love the options it makes available, I'm not sure yet how to put it all together.

  • Django template context not working with imported class

    - by Andy Hume
I'm using Django's templating on appengine, and am having a problem whereby a class I'm importing from another package is not correctly being made available to the template context. Broadly speaking, this is the code. The prop1 is not available in the template in the first example below, but is in the second. MyClass is identical in both cases. This does not work: from module import MyClass context = MyClass() self.response.out.write(template.render(path, context)) This does: class MyClass(object): def __init__(self): self.prop1 = "prop1" context = MyClass() self.response.out.write(template.render(path, context)) If I log the context in the above code I get: <module.MyClass object at 0x107b1e450> when it's imported, and: <__main__.MyClass object at 0x103759390> when it's defined in the same file. Any clues as to what might cause this kind of behaviour?

  • AlarmManager Calling Function in Same Class

    - by jsc123
    I am trying to give a LocationClient a two-minute period to connect before calling getLastLocation on it. Initially I implemented this with a Timer (and TimerTask), but because Timers do not work in sleepmode, I would like to translate it to an AlarmManager. However, I am a bit confused as to how to do this, considering an AlarmManager calls another class, whereas I want to remain in the same class and simply delay for a two-minute period. This is how it looks with a Timer. Timer theTimer = new Timer(); theTimer.schedule(new TimerTask() { @Override public void run() { if(checkIfGooglePlay() && checkTime()) { getPostLocation(); stopSelf(); mLocationClient.disconnect(); } } }, TWO_MINUTES);

  • Accessing variablss through a different class within the constructor of latter classes of an object

    - by Haxed
In the code below, I've added two lines that print output. The first line prints junk as usual, but surprisingly the second one gives me a compilation error. Why? class Student { private String name; public Student(String name){ this.name = name; } public String getName(){ return name; } } class StudentServer { public StudentServer(){ Student[] s = new Student[30]; s[0] = new Student("Nick"); // LINE 01: This compiles, although prints junk System.out.println(s[0]); // LINE 02: I get a error called cannot find symbol System.out.println(s[0].getName()); } public static void main(){ new StudentServer(); } } Many Thanks

  • Circle class in java

    - by user292395
I need to get the Java code for the below problem asap. Create a class Circle that will allow us to define a circle with a specific radius. Your class should include the following methods: A constructor that can create a circle with a specified radius. A method setRadius that sets a specific value as a new radius for an existing circle. A method getRadius that returns the radius of an existing circle. A method toString that returns a String with all the information about an existing circle. A method computeArea that computes the area of a circle A method computePerimeter that computes the perimeter of a circle.

  • z index background issue in IE

    - by Michael
I have a jQuery tools scroller set up with controls managing two separate divs of info - one images, the other related text that needs to sit over the top of the images with a transparent bg image. I am using z-indexing to achieve this and am aware of IE's issues with this but am unable to sort it (tested in IE6-8). Image of the issue below: http://test.shakingpaper.com.au/not_working.png It seems that the overlayed div is taking on the containers white. Try as I might, I can't resolve this. • "Automatic" class proxy in C++

    - by PierreBdR
I need to allow the user to change members of two data structures of the same type at the same time. For example: struct Foo { int a, b; } Foo a1 = {1,2}, a2 = {3,4}; dual(a1,a2)->a = 5; // Now a1 = {5,2} and a2 = {5,2} I have a class that works and that change first a1 and then copy a1 into a2. This is fine as long as: the class copied is small the user doesn't mind about everything being copied, not only the part modified. Is there a way to obtain this behavior: dual(a1,a2)->a = 5; // Now a1 = {5,2} and a2 = {5,4} I am opened to alternative syntax, but they should stay simple, and I would like to avoid things like: set_members(a1, a2, &Foo::a, 5); members(a1, a2, &Foo::a) = 5; or anything involving specifying explictely &Foo::

  • How to inherit from the main class in java

    - by user225269
I have two java classes. One is NewFrame.java where the forms(buttons, textfields) are located. And the other one is Main.java where I have put the connection string for mysql: Main.java looks like this: public class Main { /** * @param args the command line arguments */ public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception { // TODO code application logic here Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"); Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/employee_record", "root", "password"); PreparedStatement statement = con.prepareStatement("select * from employee"); ResultSet result = statement.executeQuery(); } } How do I inherit from the main.java so that the declarations in it would be universally accessible to the forms in NewFrame.java? Please help. Thanks

  • c++ when to put method out side the class

    - by user63898
i saw that some times in c++ applications using only namespace declarations with header and source file like this : #ifndef _UT_ #define _UT_ #include <string> #include <windows.h> namespace UT { void setRootPath(char* program_path, char* file_path); char * ConvertStringToCharP(std::string str); }; #endif //and then in UT.cpp #include "UT.h" namespace UT { char * ConvertStringToCharP(std::string str) { char * writable = new char[str.size() + 1]; std::copy(str.begin(), str.end(), writable); writable[str.size()] = '\0'; return writable; } void setRootPath(char* program_path, char* file_path) { //... } } is it better then defining classic class with static methods? or just simple class ? dose this method has something better for the compiler linker ? the methods in this namespace are called allot of times .

  • Table row height in Internet Explorer

    - by Fritz H
    I have the following table: <table> <tr> <td style="height: 7px; width: 7px"> A1 </td> <td style="height: 7px"> B1 </td> <td style="height: 7px; width: 7px"> C1 </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="width: 7px"> A2 </td> <td> B2 </td> <td style="width: 7px"> C2 </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="height: 7px; width: 7px"> A3 </td> <td style="height: 7px"> B3 </td> <td style="height: 7px; width: 7px"> C3 </td> </tr> </table> The basic idea is that the first row must be 7 pixels high. The left- and rightmost cells (A1 and C1) must be 7px wide, and the middle cell (B1) must scale according to the width of the table. The same goes for the bottom row (A3, B3, C3). The middle row, however, needs to scale in height - in other words, it needs to be (tableheight - 14px). The left- and rightmost cells (A2, C2) need to be 7 pixels wide. An example: 7px x 7px |------|-------------------------|------| --- +------+-------------------------+------+ | | | | | | 7px | | | | | | | | | --- +------+-------------------------+------+ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | y | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | --- +------+-------------------------+------+ | | | | | | 7px | | | | | | | | | --- +------+-------------------------+------+ HOWEVER: In Internet Explorer, the widths work fine (columns A and C are 7px, column B scales dynamically) - but the heights don't. Rows 1, 2 and 3 turn out to be exactly 33% of the height of the table, no matter what I do. Unfortunately I have to use this table, so replacing it with a set of DIVs is not an option. I have the following DOCTYPE: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> I need to keep this, as some other elements on the page rely on some complex CSS-based layouts. Can anyone point me in the right direction to whip this into shape for IE? EDIT: Should have mentioned earlier - this table is resized on the fly using javascript.
