  I am just starting to use ediff. The problem I have is how do I get rid of all the highlighting when I am done looking at comparisons. When I press q to quit ediff, the highlighting remains and I haven't been able to figure out how to turn it off. It is probably something simple that I am overlooking.

  I've written a gem and within a file I am doing this to autoload my main gem logic: $:.push File.expand_path('lib', __FILE__) require "oa-casport/version" require 'omniauth/core' module OmniAuth module Strategies autoload :Casport, 'omniauth/strategies/casport' end end For Ruby versions 1.8.7 and ree, it prints out "no such file to load - omniauth/strategies/casport' But it doesn't print out this message on version 1.9.2. However, this has proved to be quite distressing as sometimes the VMware gets hold of it and turns off / pauses (ctrl+Z) the virtual machine. Is there a way to disable keyboard shortcuts on VMware?   Visual Studio 2010 adds a zoom setting on the bottom left of the text editor (to the left of the horizontal scroll bar) and also adopts the control + mouse scroll idiom for zooming in and out. The former is fine, but I dislike the latter as I am occasionally still holding control when I start scrolling my source code (which results in the text size radically changing and completely throwing me off whatever I was doing). How do I disable it?

• possible to auto zoom out if user's resolution < x ?

  my site is aimed purely at the laptop market (dont ask why or argue!), all my users (or 95%+) we on a screen width of 1200+, netbooks are now taking off, with a resolution of 1024 wide. my site still looks great on a netbook if you zoom out once (ctrl-minus), but i don't want to rely on users knowing about ctrl-minus. what are my options besides redesign? I'm keen not to have zoom buttons on my page. is there a javascript zoomer outer?!!!

  I am still not sure in that matter. While turned on we're quite safe but some other problems appear (with passing template variables or counting characters). On the other hand we have magic turned off, everything is clear, but we have to manually escape every variable (that come from untrusted source) in templates. By the way, non-magic solution is used in Ruby-on-Rails. So the question is: when starting a new project in symfony do you disable escaping_strategy and why?

  Although my relativelayout looks very similar on WVGA800 and WVGA854 on the emulator, theres different spacing on some of the objects because I'm going off of marginleft or marginright. Since the 854 is a greater width, its pushing some objects differently. Is there any way I could target either one to adjust for the different margins?

• YUI dialog - what's the equivalent of postdata when using "form" (not ('async")

  I'm creating a dialog with YAHOO.widget.Dialog. The dialog is fired off by clicking on a link, and the function the link uses specifies parameters that finally get added to a postdata option like so: var myDialog = new YAHOO.widget.Dialog("myDialog", { fixedcenter: true, // postmethod: "form", postdata: propString }); This works just fine, but now I need to do the same thing but using "form" instead of "async" - and there's no postdata for form submissions. What's the right way to do this? (YUI 2.7.0)

• winforms - datagridview row height doesn't resize when defaultcellstyle is set to wrapmode

  Hi folks, i have a datagrid that displays long text on couple columns. I have set the cells defaultcellstyle to wrap. This works but now the row height doesn't change to compensate for the wrapped text & the text is getting cut-off. What am i missing? TIA
