• VBA WinHTTPRequest and submitting forms

  Hi. I spent all day yesterday trying to figure out how to submit a form using WinHTTPRequest. I can do it pretty easily with an InternetExplorer object, but the problem is that I need to save a PDF file that gets returned, and I am not sure how to do this with the IE object. • Paste Event in a WPF TextBox

  I have created a custom control inheriting TextBox. This custom control is a numeric TextBox, only supporting numbers. I am using OnPreviewTextInput to check each new character being typed to see if the character is a valid input. This works great. However, if I paste the text into the TextBox, OnPreviewTextInput is not fired. What is the best way to capture pasted text in a TextBox? Also, I have a problem when the back space is pressed, I can't figure out what event this will fire. OnPreviewTextInput is not fired! any ideas how to capture pasted text and back space events in WPF TextBox? Thanks

How do I map these enum properties using that extension? I'm trying to map to an object like this: private class DestinationObject { public string Enum1Description { get; set; } public string Enum2Description { get; set; } } I think a custom formatter is my best bet, but I can't figure out how to add the formatter and specify which field to map from at the same time.

  I've have a workflow whose root activity is a custom NativeActivity with a public InArgument called XmlData. When I try and use this argument in a child If activity I get the following error using XmlData within the condition: 'XmlData' is not declared. It may be inaccessible due to its protection level I'm adding the argument inside CacheMetadata using the metadata.AddArgument method, and I've tried adding the child property it has using both AddChild and AddImplementationChild. If I replace my custom activity with an ActivityBuilder and use code to create a DynamicActivityProperty then the condition can be compiled successfully, so I don't see what I'm missing when I use my own code.

  Does anyone know of a tutorial for using TeamCity with github with ssh private keys. I have tried to set up git hub to connect and I either get a authentication error or get access denied. I am running TeamCity on Windows 2003. I am running the build agent as a custom account. I am running the web server under the administrator account. I have create a key for the custom account and administrator account. I now get an error that: The connection test failed: com.jcraft.jsch.JSchException: java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.ssh (Access is denied) If anyone has successfully set this up please help. I am going on 3 hours into this and want to get it solved. Thanks.

• IIS 7 Authentication: Certain users can't authenticate, while almost all others can.

  I'm using IIS 7 Digest authentication to control access to a certain directory containing files. Users access the files through a department website from inside our network and outside. I've set NTFS permissions on the directory to allow a certain AD group to view the files. When I click a link to one of those files on the website I get prompted for a username and password. With most users everything works fine, but with a few of them it prompts for a password 3 times and then get: 401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials. But other users that are in the group can get in without a problem. If I switch it over to Windows Authentication, then the trouble users can log in fine. That directory is also shared, and users that can't log in through the website are able to browse to the share and view files in it, so I know that the permissions are ok. • xsd validation againts xsd generated class level validation

  In my project I have very big XSD file which i use to validate some XML request and response to a 3rd party. For the above scenario I can have 2 approaches 1) Create XML and then validate against give XSD 2) Create classes from XSD with the help of XSD gen tool, add xtra bit of attirbutes and use them for validation. Validation in the second way will work somewhat in this manner, a) convert xml request/response into object with XML Serialization b) validate the object with custom attributes set on each property, i.e. Pass the object to a method which will validate the object by iterating through properties and its custom attributes set on the each property, and this will return a boolean value if the object validates and that determines whether the xml request is valid or not? Now the concern which approach is good in terms of performance and anything else???

• jQuery Validation plugin: disable validation for specified submit buttons

  I have a form with multiple fields that I'm validating (some with methods added for custom validation) with Jörn Zaeffere's excellent jQuery Validation plugin. How do you circumvent validation with specified submit controls (in other words, fire validation with some submit inputs, but do not fire validation with others)? This would be similar to ValidationGroups with standard ASP.NET validator controls. My situation: It's with ASP.NET WebForms, but you can ignore that if you wish. However, I am using the validation more as a "recommendation": in other words, when the form is submitted, validation fires but instead of a "required" message displaying, a "recommendation" shows that says something along the line of "you missed the following fields.... do you wish to proceed anyways?" At that point in the error container there's another submit button now visible that can be pressed which would ignore the validation and submit anyways. How to circumvent the forms .validate() for this button control and still post? The Buy and Sell a House sample at http://jquery.bassistance.de/validate/demo/multipart/ allows for this in order to hit the previous links, but it does so through creating custom methods and adding it to the validator. I would prefer to not have to create custom methods duplicating functionality already in the validation plugin. • How to update data in the user information list when using FBA

  I've got to support a SharePoint web application which uses FBA with a custom membership and a custom role provider to authenticate the user against two different LDAPs. The user data are only stored in the user information lists. The SSP user profiles are not used. Now one of the users got married and therefore her surname got changed in the LDAP (the one where her information are stored). But this change doesn't get provisioned into the user information list. I wondering what option I have to provision changes of user data to the user information list. I've already tried to update the last name of the user manually, but it seems as if certain information like surname, first name are not editable in the user information list. I tried to edit them as a site administrator. So what option do I have to solve this problem? Being able to edit the information per hand would also be a solution but of course not the most preferred one.

• postgres - remove whitespace from field?

  I imported a bunch of data using pgloader, and am now seeing that there's a bunch of whitespace (both spaces and tabs) inside of the fields. Is there a way to quickly update the fields to remove it from the beginning, the end, and the middle? I know there's TRIM, but that won't work for me... As an added problem... I only want to remove double spaces and replace it with a single space, but there might be 5 or 6 spaces in a row, and I'd prefer not to have to rerun a replace query until they're all ok? • Scheduling runtime-specified Activity in Workflow 4 RC

  Hi, so I have this requirement to kick off Activities provided to me at run-time. To facilitate this, I have set up a WorkflowService that receives Activities as Xaml, hydrates them, and kicks them off. You can see the VB expression that then converts this Xaml to an Activity and passes it on. Now this second bit, the custom InvokeActivity is where I have questions. First question: 1) given an arbitrary task, provided at runtime [as described above] is it possible to kick off this Activity using Activities that ship with WF4RC, out of the box? The problematic activity named 'DynamicActivity' was provided by the activity named 'InvokeActivity'. Right, so the "dynamic" Activity provided at runtime is not a member of InvokeActivitys metadata. Googled and came across this. Couldn't sort out how to specify an InArgument<Activity> to metadata cache, so my second question is, naturally, how does one address this issue? Is it ill advised to use context.ScheduleActivity (...) in this manner? So my third and final question is, in terms of what I would like to do [ie kick off arbitrary workflows inbound from client applications] is this the preferred method? • ASP.NET - Extend gridview to allow filtering, sorting, paging, etc...

  I have seen threads on many sites regarding extending the gridview control so obviously this will be a duplicate. But I haven't found any that truly extend the control to the extent that you could have custom sorting (with header images), filtering by putting drop downs or textboxes in header columns (on a column by column basis) and custom paging (one that doesn't return all records but just returns the ones requested for the given page). Are there any good tutorials that show the inner-workings of the gridview and how to override the proper functions? I've seen several snippets here and there but none seem to really work and explain things well. Any links would be appreciated. Thanks!

• iPhone SDK 3.2 and UIAppFonts

  I've added my custom font to UIAppFonts and it's loaded just fine: (shows up in [UIFont familyNames] ). When I manually set the font in viewDidLoad { [myLabel setFont: [UIFont fontWithName:@"CustomFont" size: 65.0]]; } everything works and the font is rendered. However doing the same thing in IB doesn't (some other default font is used instead). Having to create IBOutlets for each label and fixing up the fonts manually in viewDidLoad is pretty painful. Anyone else had problems getting the custom font support to work with 3.2 SDK and IB?

• How to achieve conditional resource import in a Spring XML context?

  What I would like to achieve is the ability to "dynamically" (i.e. based on a property defined in a configuration file) enable/disable the importing of a child Spring XML context. I imagine something like: <import condition="some.property.name" resource="some-context.xml"/> Where the property is resolved (to a boolean) and when true the context is imported, otherwise it isn't. Some of my research so far: Writing a custom NamespaceHandler (and related classes) so I can register my own custom element in my own namespace. For example: <myns:import condition="some.property.name" resource="some-context.xml"/> The problem with this approach is that I do not want to replicate the entire resource importing logic from Spring and it isn't obvious to me what I need to delegate to to do this. Overriding DefaultBeanDefinitionDocumentReader to extend the behaviour of the "import" element parsing and interpretation (which happens there in the importBeanDefinitionResource method). However I'm not sure where I can register this extension.

I was wondering whether the following are possible using the package: Add help texts beside/below input/select fields and textareas (e.g. "This field is required", "Example: qwerty123") Add/modify attributes for the input/select fields and textareas (e.g. adding the following attributes: class, id, name, maxlength, minlength, etc.) Add custom validations like checking whether a particular field should be unique or checking a value against a regular expression Modify the error messages Add another column to the table generated by the form Also note that djangoforms.ModelForm is different from django.forms.Form.

• jqGrid adding new row with XML Data

  Hi Everyone, I am using jQGrid in my ASP.NET MVC application with add row feature. My problem is I have to save XML data in some of the row fields. But while posting the new row with some fields having plain xml, to server I get Internal server error. By default jqGrid perhaps expects json or text data to be posted on server while adding a new row. I used beforeSubmit method for workaround to convert xml first to json and then send to server, but while converting json back to xml I lose the orginal structure of the xml. FYI: I used JsonReaderWriterFactory on server to convert it back. Your help will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

One of my ideas was to install a custom made webserver on each client and then have javascript on our webpage that communicates with that webserver. This could be done by the same way that http://earlz.biz.tm javascript can access subdomains assigned to 127.0.0.1 such as http://loopback.earlz.biz.tm The problem with this of course is that the client's custom made webserver would be forced to run on port 80(which will have conflicts at least sometimes), or we would have to use a nonstandard port for our web application, which is quite undesirable. Does anyone else have ideas on how to do this?

• Failed Castle ActiveRecord TransactionScope causes future queries to be invalid

  I am trying to solve an issue when using a Castle ActiveRecord TransactionScope which is rolled back. After the rollback, I am unable to query the Dog table.
