  • How do I store multiple copies of the same field in Django?

    - by Alistair
I'm storing OLAC metadata which describes linguistic resources. Many of the elements of the metadata are repeatable -- for example, a resource can have two languages, three authors and four dates associated with it. Is there any way of storing this in one model? It seems like overkill to define a model for each repeatable metadata element -- especially since the models will only have one field: it's value.

  • Are there any MVP Frameworks projects out there?

    - by Greg Malcolm
MVC is used a number of popular frameworks. To name just a few, Ruby on Rails, ASP.NET MVC, Monorail, Spring MVC. Are there any equivalent frameworks using any variant of MVP? Most of the examples I've found online seem to be custom implementations of the pattern rather than reusable frameworks. Suggestions need not be specific to any particular programming language, my interest is mostly academic.

    - by Eibx
Hi StackOverflow, I'm trying to group the following string into three groups. 0:0:Awesome:awesome That being "0", "0" and "Awesome:awesome" Using this regular expression: ^([0-9]+)\:([0-9]*)\:(.*)$ It works fine on online regex services: http://rubular.com/r/QePxt57EwU But it seems like .NET doesn't agree.

  • Implementing Communication Protocols on CC2420 motes powered by TinyOS

    - by stanigator
I would like to load TinyOS on CC2420 radio motes to operate on certain communication protocols (e.g. epidemic routing, probabilistic routing, etc.). However, I have no prior experience in programming motes to perform the protocols I want. I'm just wondering about the most applicable resources for reference and how difficult (if not impossible) was implementing such mentioned protocols. It would be great to hear from you. Thanks in advance!

  • Simple but good pattern for EJB

    - by Sara
What would you suggest as a good and practical but simple pattern for a soloution with: HTML + JSP (as a view/presentation) SERVLETS (controller, request, session-handling) EJB (persistence, businesslogic) MySQL DB And is it necessary to use an own layer of DAO for persistence? I use JPA to persist objects to my DB. Should I withdraw business logic from my EJB? Sources online all tell me different things and confuses me...

  • How to inject ServletContext for JUnit tests with Spring?

    - by Juri Glass
Hi I want to unit test a RESTful interface written with Apache CXF. I use a ServletContext to load some resources, so I have: @Context private ServletContext servletContext; If I deploy this on Glassfish, the ServletContext is injected and it works like expected. But I don't know how to inject the ServletContext in my service class, so that I can test it with a JUnit test. I use Spring 3.0, JUnit 4, CXF 2.2.3 and Maven.

  • How to start a ColorAnimation from a MultiTrigger in a ControlTemplate ?

    - by banzai
    Hi all I have the following ControlTemplate for a WPF TabItem: <ControlTemplate x:Key="DefaultTabItemTemplate" TargetType="{x:Type TabItem}"> <ControlTemplate.Resources> <SolidColorBrush x:Key="UnselectedForegroundBrush" Color="#414141" /> <!-- Unique color for this template --> <SolidColorBrush x:Key="SelectedForegroundBrush" Color="#457581" /> <!-- Unique color for this template --> <SolidColorBrush x:Key="MouseOverTextBrush" x:Name="local_MouseOverTextBrush" Color="#FFF2F2F2"/> </ControlTemplate.Resources> <Grid> <Border Name="Border" MinHeight="30" Margin="0,0,0,-1" Background="{DynamicResource TabControlBackgroundBrush}" BorderBrush="{DynamicResource ndt_DisabledForegroundBrush}" BorderThickness="1,1,1,1" CornerRadius="0,0,0,0" > <ContentPresenter x:Name="ContentSite" VerticalAlignment="Center" HorizontalAlignment="Center" TextElement.FontStretch="UltraExpanded" TextElement.FontWeight="UltraBlack" ContentSource="Header" Margin="12,2,12,2" RecognizesAccessKey="True" /> </Border> </Grid> <ControlTemplate.Triggers> <Trigger Property="IsSelected" Value="True"> <Setter Property="Panel.ZIndex" Value="2" /> <Setter TargetName="Border" Property="Background" Value="{DynamicResource ndt_TabControlBackgroundBrush}" /> <Setter TargetName="Border" Property="BorderThickness" Value="1,1,1,0" /> <Setter TargetName="ContentSite" Property="TextElement.Foreground" Value="{StaticResource SelectedForegroundBrush}" /> </Trigger> <Trigger Property="IsEnabled" Value="False"> <Setter TargetName="Border" Property="Background" Value="{DynamicResource ndt_DisabledBackgroundBrush}" /> <Setter TargetName="ContentSite" Property="TextElement.Foreground" Value="{DynamicResource ndt_DarkGray}" /> <Setter Property="Foreground" Value="{DynamicResource ndt_DisabledForegroundBrush}" /> </Trigger> <MultiTrigger> <MultiTrigger.Conditions> <Condition Property="IsMouseOver" Value="True" /> <Condition Property="IsSelected" Value="False" /> </MultiTrigger.Conditions> <Setter TargetName="Border" Property="Background" Value="{DynamicResource ndt_NavigationAreaBrush}" /> <Setter TargetName="ContentSite" Property="TextElement.Foreground" Value="{DynamicResource MouseOverTextBrush}" /> </MultiTrigger> </ControlTemplate.Triggers> </ControlTemplate> Everything works fine so far. The MultiTrigger at the end of the template defines a mouse over effect for not selected TabItems. Now I thought the change in color for this mouse over effect looks a bit brash so let´s animate it with a ColorAnimation. But don´t count the chickens before they hatch - everything I tried didn´t work. Maybe I oversee the obvious - but how to achieve this feat ? Thanks in advance banzai

  • embedded web/application server

    - by l.thee.a
I need to write an user menu for an embedded device (mips linux). The menu has to be accessible from network (web page - AJAX?) and it has to be able to read/write hardware settings. What would be the easiest way to implement such an app/server? Where do I start? PS: c/c++ preferred. PS 2: I have limited resources

  • Ajax success function firing before java class responds

    - by user1899281
    I am creating a login function with ajax and am having an issue where the success function (SuccessLogin) fires before getting an ajax response. I am running the code as google web app from eclipse and I can see when debugging the java class file, that the javascript is throwing an alert for the success response from the class being false before the debugger catches the break point in the class file. I have only been writing code for a couple months now so I am sure its a stupid little error on my part. $(document).ready(function() { sessionChecker() // sign in $('#signInForm').click(function () { $().button('loading') var email = $('#user_username').val(); sessionStorage.email = $('#user_username').val(); var password= $('#user_password').val(); var SignInRequest = { type: "UserLoginRequest", email: email, password: password } var data= JSON.stringify(SignInRequest); //disabled all the text fields $('.text').attr('disabled','true'); //start the ajax $.ajax({ url: "/resources/user/login", type: "POST", data: data, cache: false, success: successLogin(data) }); }); //if submit button is clicked $('#Register').click(function () { $().button('loading') var email = $('#email').val(); if ($('#InputPassword').val()== $('#ConfirmPassword').val()) { var password= $('input[id=InputPassword]').val(); } else {alert("Passwords do not match"); return ;} var UserRegistrationRequest = { type: "UserRegistrationRequest", email: email, password: password } var data= JSON.stringify(UserRegistrationRequest); //disabled all the text fields $('.text').attr('disabled','true'); //start the ajax $.ajax({ url: "/resources/user/register", type: "POST", data: data, cache: false, success: function (data) { if (data.success==true) { //hide the form $('form').fadeOut('slow'); //show the success message $('.done').fadeIn('slow'); } else alert('data.errorReason'); } }); return false; }); }); function successLogin (data){ if (data.success) { sessionStorage.userID= data.userID var userID = data.userID sessionChecker(userID); } else alert(data.errorReason); } //session check function sessionChecker(uid) { if (sessionStorage.userID!= null){ var userID = sessionStorage.userID }; if (userID != null){ $('#user').append(userID) $('#fat-menu_1').fadeOut('slow') $('#fat-menu_2').append(sessionStorage.email).fadeIn('slow') }; }

  • Control statements in Haskell?

    - by Nathan
I am just beginning Haskell, but from all the online tutorials I've found I can't seem to find if there is one accepted way to do a conditional control statement. I have seen if-else, guards, and pattern matching, but they all seem to accomplish the same thing. Is there one generally accepted/faster/more efficient way than the rest?

  • Is it possible to profile memory usage of unit tests?

    - by Rowland Shaw
I'm looking at building some unit tests to ascertain if resources are leaking (or not) using the unit testing framework that comes with Visual Studio. At present, I'm evaluating the latest version of ANTS Profiler, but I can't quite work out if it allows me to force a snapshot from code (so that I can take a snapshot, run a unit test a few hundred times, force a garbage collection, and take another snapshot, and save the results out for later analysis). Is this possible to do with ANTS/Visual Studio or should I be exploring options with other profilers?

  • Where can I find the list of all SQL-standard-mandated aggregate functions? [on hold]

    - by einpoklum
I know that different DBMSes support different aggregate functions; for example: MySQL's aggregates Oracle's aggregates I want to get the list of aggregates mandated by the SQL standard. Or, to be more precise, the lists of mandatory aggregates for SQL 1992, 1998, 2003, 2008 and 2011 - with 2011 being the most important to me. Edit: Of course if I buy a copy of the standards I could compile these lists myself. My question is whether they're accessible somewhere online.

  • Meassure website

    - by s0mmer
Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to install or use any online service to measure your website's performance? I've seen many just checking the download speed of images, external files etc. But is it possible to meassure how long asp/php code takes to execute? I have a site running a bit slowly, and it would be very nice with some app/service guiding where to optimize.

  • Flurry's not collecting any data from my iPhone-app

    - by swalkner
Hi all, I want to use Flurry to collect some statistics, so I registered and created an app in Flurry. Then, I put the following code in my appDidFinishLaunching: [FlurryAPI startSession:@"code here"]; Afterwards, I installed the app on my iPhone and ran it - but I don't see any data online. Am I missing something? And is data also collected from the simulator? Thanks a lot, Stefan

  • Changing the id parameter in Rails routing

Hello, Using rails3 new routing system, is it possible to change the default :id parameter resources :users, :key => :username come out with the following routes /users/new /users/:username /users/:username/edit ...etc I'm asking because although the above example is simple, it would be really helpful to do in a current project I'm working on. Is it possible to change this parameter, and if not, is there a particular reason as to why not?

  • Generate java code in Eclipse?

    - by drozzy
Does anyone know what approach one can take to automatically generate Java source code, from for example an xml or json file, in eclipse? One great example of what I am thinking of doing is what Google Android sdk does: they have an R class generated automatically from the resources. Every time a resource file is saved in Eclipse R class is automatically regenerated. Thanks!
