• Loop through all cells in Xceed DataGrid for WPF?

  I am changing the background color of the cells when the user has made an edit. I would like to return all cells to normal colors when the changes are saved (or reverted). It's easy enough to set the cell's original background color (as stored in the parent row). But I can't figure out how to loop through all the cells in the table to reset them. I found an article in the Xceed Knowledge Base called "How to iterate through the grid's rows"... which you would think would be perfect, right? Wrong; the properties (or methods) like .DataRows, .FixedHeaderRows, etc. mentioned in the article are from an older/defunct Xceed product. This forum thread recommends using the DataGrid's .Items property, which in my case returns a collection of System.Data.DataRowViews... but I can't find any way to cast that (or any of its related elements) up to the Xceed.Wpf.DataGrid.DataCells I need to change the background color. In short, how do I loop through the rows and cells so I can reset the background property?

• Iphone SQLite Databse with german umlauts results in NULL value

  Hi guys, I'm quite new to the Iphone development and after search for an answer for 3 hours now, I hope that you guys can give me a hand. My problem is that I have a SQLite Database with german umlauts. Looking at it with a SQLite browser tool shows me that the data is stored with german umlauts, correctly. But selecting fields with german umlauts in it results in a NULL value. I'm already using "stringWithUTF8String", so I don't get the point where the problem is placed. • ASP.NET MVC pagination problem????

  OK, This is starting to get mildly irritating. • LINQ2SQL - Binding result to a grid - want changes to be reflected without re-binding?

  Hello, I have a grid (DevExpress XtraGrid, if that matters) which is bound to a LINQ to SQL Entity property. gridItems.DataSource = purchaseOrder.PendingItemsGrouped; Well, the grid is being displayed properly,and I can see the purchase items that are pending. The problem arises when purchaseOrder.PendingItemsGrouped gets changed ... once that happens, the grid does not reflect the changes. The exact procedure is as following: The user selects a row from the grid, inserts a serial number on a specific textbox, and then hits enter effectively receiving this item from the purchase order, and inserting it into stock. inventoryWorker.AddItemToStock( userSelectedItem, serialNumber ); The item gets properly inserted to the inventory, but the grid still shows the item as if it is still awaiting it to be received. How do I solve this problem? Do I really need to re-bind the grid so the changes can be reflected? I even tried instead of: gridItems.DataSource = ...; This: gridItems.DataBindings.Add( new Binding( "DataSource", purchase, "PendingItemsGrouped" ) ); But couldn't solve the problem. Thank you very much for your time, Isaac. OBS: Re-Binding the Grid works, but my question is ... is that even the proper way of doing things? I feel like I'm miles off the right track.

My problem now is that I would like to offer to users a function to update an existing record in SQL. As each row on this table has a unique id columne. There is a column call UID which is the primary key.   I want to create a display group generated from foreach() clause output. I can't seem to get the syntax correct. Here's the business logic: for each category row find the associated fees output the category description as a label and the fees as radio buttons then create a display group with the fees as the group elements and the category description as the legend. • BCP task hangs while executing

  Hey guys, We have a HPC node that runs some of our tasks in it. I have a task in my .net project that kicks the bcp utility on the HPC node and the output of the query that I have runs into 9 Mb. When the HPC node runs this task the output of the query is dumped into a file and then after it dumps around 5mb of data it suddenly stops dumping any more data and this happens all the time. (Please note this isnt any data issue as its not crashing on a particular row every time). this may or may not be of significance but I dump the data into a different server which has adequate permissions set. I have run the command with the same query directly on the hpc node and on other comps and it gives the right output. I'm running the bcp command as follows: var processInfo = new ProcessStartInfo("bcp.exe", argument) { RedirectStandardOutput = true, RedirectStandardError = true, CreateNoWindow = true, UseShellExecute = false }; var proc = new Process { StartInfo = processInfo, EnableRaisingEvents = true }; proc.Exited += new EventHandler(bcp_log); proc.Start(); proc.WaitForExit(); So my code actually waits for each bcp task to run before it goes ahead as I call it multiple times. FYI to remind you again it only fails when my o/p exceeds a certain no of bytes in this case approx 5mb. Any help is much appreciated.

  I have a written a script in PHP that reads from data from a MySQL database. I am new to PHP and I have been using the PDO library. I have been developing on a Windows machine using the WAMP Server 2 and all has been working well. However, when I uploaded my script to the LINUX server where it will be used I get the following error when I run my script. The script is running on an Ubuntu (5.0.51a-3ubuntu5.4) machine and the PHP version is 5.2.4. Thank you for any suggestions. I am really lost on this.

So I obtain a row with two columns with "null" value : CompanyID | CompanyName | SubTotal | Tax | TotalRevenue Null Null 145487 27642.53 173129.53 this success because all rows have been grouped with out taking care about the firsts columns and just Summing the valuable columns, so I need to change that null for default values as CompanyID = "100000000" and CompanyName = "Others". • Don't Understand Sql Server Error

  I have a table of users (User), and need to create a new table to track which users have referred other users. So, basically, I'm creating a many-to-many relation between rows in the same table. So I'm trying to create table UserReferrals with the columns UserId and UserReferredId. I made both columns a compound primary key. And both columns are foreign keys that link to User.UserID. Since deleting a user should also delete the relationship, I set both foreign keys to cascade deletes. When the user is deleted, any related rows in UserReferrals should also delete. But this gives me the message: 'User' table saved successfully 'UserReferrals' table Unable to create relationship 'FK_UserReferrals_User'. Introducing FOREIGN KEY constraint 'FK_UserReferrals_User' on table 'UserReferrals' may cause cycles or multiple cascade paths. Specify ON DELETE NO ACTION or ON UPDATE NO ACTION, or modify other FOREIGN KEY constraints. Could not create constraint. See previous errors. I don't get this error. A cascading delete only deletes the row with the foreign key, right? So how can it cause "cycling cascade paths"? Thanks for any tips.

• android keylistener losing key taps

  I am using a keylistener to get key taps. The problem is that once you tap the delete key, the next key tap is not registering. The key tap after that keeps working. If I tap 2 deletes in a row, they work, just no other keys. They just disappear. I put in a log test before the "if (keycode" section and it shows nothing after the first delete is pressed, unless it is another delete.   I have a form that's made up of many items (think order items on an amazon order). Each row has a checkbox associated with them so the user can select many items and click 'remove'. However, after I process the request in the action (e.g. remove the appropriate items) and return a new view containing fewer items, the state of the form is 'semi' persisted. Some check boxes remain checked, even though in the edit model all the bools are set to false. I don't have this problem if I return a RedirectToActionResult, but using that as a solution seems a bit of a hacky work around. I think I need to flush/refresh the ModelState, or something similiar, but I'm unsure of the terms to search for to find out how.

• How to resize image to fit UITableView cell?

  How to fit UIImage into the cell of UITableView, UITableViewCell (?). Do you addSubview to cell or is there a way to resize cell.image or the UIImage before it is assigned to cell.image ? I want to keep the cell size default (whatever it is when you init with zero rectangle) and would like to add icon like pictures to each entry. Images are slightly bigger than the cell size (table row size). I think the code looks like this (from top of my head): UIImage * image = [[UIImage alloc] imageWithName:@"bart.jpg"]; cell = ... dequeue cell in UITableView data source (UITableViewController ...) cell.text = @"bart"; cell.image = image; What do I need to do to resize the image to fit the cell size? I've seen something like: UIImageView * iview = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:image]; iview.frame = CGRectMake(...); // or something similar [cell.contentView addSubview:iview] The above will add image to cell and I can calculate the size to fit it, however: I'm not sure if there is a better way, isn't it too much overhead to add UIImageView just to resize the cell.image ? I have a listview control in virtual mode, if I filter the listview to show me all people called John, I then see 3 users called John, I then cancel the filter setting all values to null and return all data to the listview, I now have several hundred items in the list but I can only see 30 on screen unless I scroll down the listview. I then use the code below to check a checkbox in each row, all get checked apart from the 3 Johns but if I can see 1 of the 3 Johns in listview without scrolling and then run the code below the visible John is checked. for (int i = 0; i < this._items.Count; i++) { this._items[i].Checked = true; } I have checked the status of the checkbox just before it is checked in the above code and if John is visible then the checkbox believes it is unchecked (false), if it is not visible it belives it is checked (true). So having one visible John on screen the checkbox looks unchecked and running a test proves it is unchecked, for the two Johns I can't see they believe they are checked but if I scroll down so I can see them they aren't. • Indy Write Buffering / Efficient TCP communication

  I know, I'm asking a lot of questions...but as a new delphi developer I keep falling over all these questions :) This one deals with TCP communication using indy 10. To make communication efficient, I code a client operation request as a single byte (in most scenarios followed by other data bytes of course, but in this case only one single byte). Problem is that var Bytes : TBytes; ... SetLength (Bytes, 1); Bytes [0] := OpCode; FConnection.IOHandler.Write (Bytes, 1); ErrorCode := Connection.IOHandler.ReadByte; does not send that byte immediately (at least the servers execute handler is not invoked). If I change the '1' to a '9' for example everything works fine. I assumed that Indy buffers the outgoing bytes and tried to disable write buffering with FConnection.IOHandler.WriteBufferClose; but it did not help. How can I send a single byte and make sure that it is immediatly sent? And - I add another little question here - what is the best way to send an integer using indy? Unfortunately I can't find function like WriteInteger in the IOHandler of TIdTCPServer...and WriteLn (IntToStr (SomeIntVal)) seems not very efficient to me. Does it make a difference whether I use multiple write commands in a row or pack things together in a byte array and send that once? Thanks for any answers! EDIT: I added a hint that I'm using Indy 10 since there seem to be major changes concerning the read and write procedures.

• WPF ComboBox IsSynchronised Default Value

  I am trying to display a default value (or even NO value) when selected index is -1, or selecteditem is null. This normally works perfectly fine but when I enable IsSynchronizedWithCurrentItem and set it to True, the first value in my DataTable gets displayed. How can I have both IsSynchronizedWithCurrentItem ="True" and show no/default value when it is loaded.   Data Layer I have an Order class as an entity. This Order entity is my model object. Order can be different types, let it be A B C D Also Order class may have common properties like Name, Time of creation, etc. Also based on the order type there are different fields that are not common. View Layer The view contains the following Main Menu ListView The Main Menu contains the drop down menu button which is used to create the order based on the type selected from the drop down. The drop down contains the Order types ( A ,B , C and D). There are different user control based on the order type. Like for example if user chooses to create an order of type A then different view with different inputs field is popped up. Hence, there are four user control for each order type. If user selects A option from the drop down then Order of type A is created and vica versa. Now below is the List View that contains the List of orders so far created by the user. To Edit any particular order user may double click the list view row. Based on the order type clicked by the user in the listview, the view of that order type opens in edit mode. For example if user selects an order type A from the list view then view for order type A open in edit mode. Please suggest me interaction model for view model's in the scenario discussed above. • C# XMLRPC Multi Threaded newPost something is not right

  I recently decided to get my feet wet with c# multi threading and my progress was good until now. My program uses XML-RPC to create new posts on wordpress. When I run my app on the localhost everything works fine and i successfully able to create new posts on wordpress using a multi threaded approach. However when I try to do the same with a wordpress installed on a remote server , new posts won't appear, so when i go to see all posts, the total number of posts remains unchanged. Another thing to note is the function that creates a new post does return the ID of a supposedly created posts. But as I mentioned previously the new posts are not visible when I try to access them in admin menu. Since I'm new to the multithreading I was hoping some of you guys can help me and check if I'm doing anything wrong. • Nature of Lock is child table while deletion(sql server)

  Dear Devs From couple of days i am thinking of a following scenario Consider I have 2 tables with parent child relationship of kind one-to-many. On removal of parent row i have to delete the rows in child those are related to parents. simple right? i have to make a transaction scope to do above operation i can do this as following; (its psuedo code but i am doing this in c# code using odbc connection and database is sql server) begin transaction(read committed) Read all child where child.fk = p1 foreach(child) delete child where child.pk = cx delete parent where parent.pk = p1 commit trans OR begin transaction(read committed) delete all child where child.fk = p1 delete parent where parent.pk = p1 commit trans Now there are couple of questions in my mind Which one of above is better to use specially considering a scenario of real time system where thousands of other operations(select/update/delete/insert) are being performed within a span of seconds. does it ensure that no new child with child.fk = p1 will be added until transaction completes? If yes for 2nd question then how it ensures? do it take the table level locks or what. Is there any kind of Index locking supported by sql server if yes what it does and how it can be used. • elisp compile, add a regexp to error detection

  I am starting with emacs, and don't know much elisp. Nearly nothing, really. I want to use ack as a replacement of grep. These are the instructions I followed to use ack from within emacs: http://www.rooijan.za.net/?q=ack_el Now I don't like the output format that is used in this el file, I would like the output to be that of ack --group. So I changed: (read-string "Ack arguments: " "-i" nil "-i" nil) to: (read-string "Ack arguments: " "-i --group" nil "-i --group" nil) So far so good. But this made me lose the ability to click-press_enter on the rows of the output buffer. In the original behaviour, compile-mode was used to be able to jump to the selected line. I figured I should add a regexp to the ack-mode. The ack-mode is defined like this: (define-compilation-mode ack-mode "Ack" "Specialization of compilation-mode for use with ack." nil) and I want to add the regexp [0-9]+: to be detected as an error too, since it is what every row of the output bugger includes (line number). I've tried to modify the define-compilation-modeabove to add the regexp, but I failed miserably. How can I make the output buffer of ack let me click on its rows? --- EDIT, I tried also: --- (defvar ack-regexp-alist '(("[0-9]+:" 2 3)) "Alist that specifies how to match rows in ack output.") (setq compilation-error-regexp-alist (append compilation-error-regexp-alist ack-regexp-alist)) I stole that somewhere and tried to adapt to my needs. No luck.

• Jquery html grab + calling a controller action using javascript (ruby on rails)

  Preface: I consider myself "slightly effective" in ruby on rails, and a complete novice in javascript. Also, yes, I have installed jQuery and associated plugins instead of the default Prototype library. I am in a situation where I am pulling in a table from off-site in an iframe (which is taking care of all internal JS for me) such that when a part of the table is clicked, a td will gain the class "active." What I would like to do is take this info (I'm assuming I can get it in a string format), and pass it to a method (in my controller, I'm assuming) which will parse the html, pull out the pertinent info, and then call a creation method in the same controller with the parsed info, the end result being a new item in that table. What I have so far is javascript which I believe is correct so far: <script type="text/javascript"> var ImportInfo = function() { var info = $('td.active').html(); // call controller action which parses the given string, //checks for existence in database, and adds new row if needed } $("#Import").click(ImportInfo); </script> and, of course, a button with id="ImportLocation." I have looked at this question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1334447/using-jquery-to-call-a-controller-action but am somewhat unsure as to how to call a controller action to pass the contents of the td as a string. Is this doable with the jQuery post method?
