  • mySql Delete only removes the data not the entire entry

    Hi all I have this line in my php code $insert = "DELETE FROM allocation_table WHERE job = '$jobnumber' " ; Mysql_query ($insert) ; The problem is it will remove all the values from the the one line in my table but not the entry itself. as you can see in the picture if I delete where job = 315 , it does not delete the line but does delete all the entries Yet in this code that preceeds it (a different table) . it works fine and the whole line is removed $insert = "DELETE FROM event WHERE jobnumber = '$jobnumber' " ; mysql_query ($insert) ;enter code here can anyone offer some advice please ??

    Since boost::shared_ptr could be called very frequently and simply returns a pointer, isn't the -> operator a good candidate for being inlined? T * operator-> () const // never throws { BOOST_ASSERT(px != 0); return px; } Would a good compiler automatically inline this anyway? Should I lose any sleep over this? :-)

So, return should be a unary operator that can also take in brackets... pretty much like unary minus: -5 and -(5), both are okay. Is that what it is - a unary operator?

  • Problem with cascade delete using Entity Framework and System.Data.SQLite

    I have a SQLite DB that is set up so when I delete a Person the delete is cascaded. This works fine when I manually delete a Person (all records that reference the PersonID are deleted). But when I use Entity Framework to delete the Person I get an error: System.InvalidOperationException: The operation failed: The relationship could not be changed because one or more of the foreign-key properties is non-nullable. When a change is made to a relationship, the related foreign-key property is set to a null value. If the foreign-key does not support null values, a new relationship must be defined, the foreign-key property must be assigned another non-null value, or the unrelated object must be deleted. I don't understand why this is occurring. My trigger is set to clean up all related objects before deleting the object it was told to delete. When I go into the model editor and check the properties of the relationship it shows no action for the OnDelete property. Why isn't this set correctly by pulling it from the DB? If I change this value to Cascade everything works properly, but I would rather not rely on this manual change because what if I refresh my model from the DB and it looses that. Here's the relivent SQL for my tables.     I am using the following to delete route53 records. I get no error messages. conn = Route53Connection(aws_access_key_id, aws_secret_access_key) changes = ResourceRecordSets(conn, zone_id) change = changes.add_change("DELETE",sub_domain, "A", 60,weight=weight,identifier=identifier) change.add_value(ip_old) changes.commit() all required fields are present and they match..weight, identifier, ttl=60 etc.\ e.g. test.com. A 111.111.111.111 60 1 id1 test.com. A 111.111.111.222 60 1 id2 I want to delete 111.111.111.222 and the record set. So, what is the proper way to delete a record set? For a record set, I will have multiple values that are distinguished by a unique identifier. When an ip address becomes in active I want to remove from route53. I am using a a poor mans load balancing.   • Javascript Confirm Delete in One PHP File (on href)

I want to somehow incorporate Javascript with a simple onclick confirmation. This way if they choose OK, I can run the code to delete the item from the database, but if they choose Cancel then I can cancel the operation and do nothing. I have tried a whole variety of functions with changing the window.location to the delete file, and trying to cancel the href= if they choose Cancel, but it always goes to the link regardless of what the user clicks. I would like to be able to keep the delete functions inside the same PHP file if possible, but this is not necessary at all. Thanks in advance! ASIDE: If there is a simple PHP way to check IF the alert was confirmed or denied, that could work also. Any way to check what the user chooses and then run my simple delete PHP command.

    I found some code to delete folders, in this case deleting all but 'n' # of folders. I created 10 test folders, plus 1 that was already there. I want to delete all but 4. The code works, it leaves 4 of my test folders, except that it also leaves the other folder. Is there some attribute of the other folder that's getting checked in the batch file that's stopping it from getting deleted ? It was created through a job a couple of weeks ago.     my issue lokks similar to this one: (link) but i have one-to-many association: <set name="Fields" cascade="all-delete-orphan" lazy="false" inverse="true"> <key column="[TEMPLATE_ID]"></key> <one-to-many class="MyNamespace.Field, MyLibrary"/> </set> (i also tried to use ) this mapping is for Template object. this one and the Field object has their ID generators set to identity. so when i call session.Update for the Template object it works fine, well, almost: if the Field object has an Id number, UPDATE sql request is called, if the Id is 0, the INSERT is performed. But if i delete a Field object from the collection it has no effect for the Database. I found that if i also call session.Delete for this Field object, everything will be ok, but due to client-server architecture i don't know what to delete. so i decided to delete all the collection elements from the DB and call session.Update with a new collection. and i've got an issue: nhibernate performs the UPDATE operation for the Field objects that has non-zero Id, but they are removed from DB! maybe i should use some other Id generator or smth.. what is the best way to make nhibernate perform "delete all"/"insert all" routine for the collection?

    In earlier versions of Mac OS X one could delete a file from the trash by opening a terminal window and typing rm ~/.Trash/file_i_want_to_delete. See this previous post. Unlike earlier versions in Mac OS X Snow Leopard one can "put back" a file from the trash into its original directory. Will the rm trick still work? Testing shows it does delete the file but what happens to the "put back" information that specifies the directory from which the file was deleted?

    Running apache on rhel server and sometimes I need to delete some files that I can not using my FTP program, because the FTP account I am logged into is not the apache user. I am on a Mac and there must be a way to accomplish this via terminal by either SSH'ing into the server.     I used to wonder why deleting directories via PHP or shell wasn't as easy as it was in Windows with just clicking delete. I realize now that deleting is simply unlinking files from the file allocation table, so to delete a directory, you must unlink all the files inside it. Is it ever possible for the directory's entry to be removed, but not those of the files inside it? Do operating systems periodically check for files that can't be reached in the file system?
