  Hi, I have a table called Users in my database. Let's assume that User has only 3 properties int ID; string? Name; string Login; If user doesn't specify his name then Login is displayed. Otherwise Name is displayed. I wan't to get list of all users sorted by what is displayed. So if user specified Name, it is taken into consideration while sorting, otherwise his position on the list should be determined by Login. Eventually whole list should be ordered alphabetically. I hope I made myself clear... Is that possible to do in HQL?

  Hey, I have a form for administrators where they insert a user name ("domain\name") and the code gets and sets some information out of it. It's a huge project and some of the lists contain the username as a string ("domain\name"), but some lists only count on the "Created By" column, which is auto-created. I want to know what's the fastest way to query these lists using the username string. I tried to use the same query as the one I use for the first kind of lists and it obviously didn't work - <Where><Eq><FieldRef Name='UserName'/><Value Type='Text'>domain\\username</Value></Eq></Where> Thank you.

  Hi! I have a problem with a WCF service, which tries to serialize too much data. From the trace I get an error which says that the maximum number of elements that can be serialized or unserialized is '65536', try to increment the MaxItemsInObjectGraph quota. So I went and modified this value, but it is just ignored (the error is the same, with the same number). All this is server-side. I am calling the service via wget for the moment.   I have two lists A and B, at the beginning of my program, they are both filled with information from a database (List A = List B). My program runs, List A is used and modified, List B is left alone. After a while I reload List B with new information from the database, and then do a check with that against List A. foreach (CPlayer player in ListA) if (ListB.Contains(player)) ----- Firstly, the object player is created from a class, its main identifier is player.Name. If the Name is the same, but the other variables are different, would the .Contains still return true? Class CPlayer( public CPlayer (string name) _Name = name At the ---- I need to use the item from ListB that causes the .Contains to return true, how do I do that?

  Ok I am trying to get the users First Name the form gets their name perfectly fine and posts it into a variable. • Slow queries in Rails- not sure if my indexes are being used.

  I'm doing a quite complicated find with lots of includes, which rails is splitting into a sequence of discrete queries rather than do a single big join. The queries are really slow - my dataset isn't massive, with none of the tables having more than a few thousand records. I have indexed all of the fields which are examined in the queries but i'm worried that the indexes aren't helping for some reason: i installed a plugin called "query_reviewer" which looks at the queries used to build a page, and lists problems with them. This states that indexes AREN'T being used, and it features the results of calling 'explain' on the query, which lists various problems. To resolve the query, MySQL needs to create a temporary table to hold the result. • Tridion New UI Preview Site is not reflecting with the changes unless pulished

  I have new UI setup and noticing that when ever I update a page it is not refreshing with the updated changes. I do not see either the page_{sessionId/GUID}.aspx created either. Checked the session preview DB and I see the changes in PAGE_CONTENT table with new rendered content, so seems like session preview is working fine but the Preview site is not able to get the changes and refresh the UI. I have checked all the preview handlers and mappings for .aspx and made sure they are correct in web.config. Any thoughts on why the preview site not showing up the changes?   I am building a web service that receives a SAML attribute query and responds with an attribute statement. I know I can return one or multiple values of a SAML attribute. I have some values that are dependent on the other attribute values. I need to show that relationship. Let us say, the query is for the Subject Dave and the return values are his company and job title. Dave can work at multiple companies with job title at each company. In the code belong a userId is passed into the method, then LINQ uses this to get all rows from the GroupTable tables matching the userId. • Is it possible to search locally in jqGrid with treeGrid installed

  I am using jqGrid with treeGrid. I have added a filterToolbar. I would like to search locally instead of having a server call. The treegrid docs say that, "When we initialize the grid and the data is read, the datatype is automatically set to local." So, is it possible to implement local search with treeGrid. I tried the below configuration, but it is resulting in server calls.   Hi all, I'm creating a fatal error dialog for a Windows Mobile Application using C#. The problem is when I try to draw the stacktrace using DrawString, half of my stacktrace is getting clipped off because DrawString uses word wrapping instead of character wrapping. For those who don't understand the explanation: When i draw the stacktrace, it comes out as this: at company.application.name.space.Funct at company.application.name.Function(St at etc. etc. And i want it to print like this: at company.application.name.space.Funct ion(String sometext, Int32 somenumbe r) at company.application.name.Function(St ring sometext, Int32 somenumber, Int 32 anothernumber) at etc. etc. Is this possible in Csharp?

But after I have selected an item in the combobox, then suddenly setting ComponentFieldSelectedIndex does work. for example: start app. click button that sets ComponentFieldSelectedIndex to 1. selected item doesn't change to item2. select item3 in combo box. click button that sets ComponentFieldSelectedIndex to 1. selected item does change to item2. Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this?

  I'm trying to install a fully virtualized guest (Fedora 14 x86_64) on KVM (RHEL 6), using command-line only (both hypervisor and guest). It goes without errors, and without a tangible result . I'd like to know how to do a text-only installation. • Multicore solr on Ubuntu 10.04 working for anyone?

  Following instructions from the two sites below, I've installed tomcat6 and solr 1.4 http://gist.github.com/204638 https://wiki.fourkitchens.com/display/TECH/Solr+1.4+on+Ubuntu+9.10+and+CentOS+5 I have successfully got it up and running on a server running 9.04 with multicore support, but on the 10.04 I can't seem to get it to work. I can't seem to crack this - I have two tables (Persons and Companies), and I'm trying to create a view that: 1) shows all persons 2) also returns companies by themselves once, regardless of how many persons are related to it 3) orders by name across both tables To clarify, some sample data: (Table: Companies) Id Name 1 Banana 2 ABC Inc. 3 Microsoft 4 Bigwig (Table: Persons) Id Name RelatedCompanyId 1 Joe Smith 3 2 Justin 3 Paul Rudd 4 4 Anjolie 5 Dustin 4 The output I'm looking for is something like this: Name PersonName CompanyName RelatedCompanyId ABC Inc. NULL ABC Inc. NULL Anjolie Anjolie NULL NULL Banana NULL Banana NULL Bigwig NULL Bigwig NULL Dustin Dustin Bigwig 4 Joe Smith Joe Smith Microsoft 3 Justin Justin NULL NULL Microsoft NULL Microsoft NULL Paul Rudd Paul Rudd Bigwig 4 As you can see, the new "Name" column is ordered across both tables (the company names appear correctly in between the person names), and each company appears exactly once, regardless of how many people are related to it.
