  Hi, I am running a C# application, and during run-time I get the following error: The CLR has been unable to transition from COM context 0x20e480 to COM context 0x20e5f0 for 60 seconds. The thread that owns the destination context/apartment is most likely either doing a non pumping wait or processing a very long running operation without pumping Windows messages. This situation generally has a negative performance impact and may even lead to the application becoming non responsive or memory usage accumulating continually over time. To avoid this problem, all single threaded apartment (STA) threads should use pumping wait primitives (such as CoWaitForMultipleHandles) and routinely pump messages during long running operations. Can anyone please help me out with the problem here? Thanks a lot.

  I have a piece of cdosys code which runs correctly and generates e-mail with my SQL Server 2008 server talking to a MS Exchange 2003 Server. However the from name is not appearing on the e-mails when they arrive. Is there a fault in the code is it not possible this way? • Android: Resolution issue while saving image into gallery

  I've managed to programmatically take a photo from the camera, then display it on an imageview, and then after pressing a button, saving it on the Gallery. It works, but the problem is that the saved photo are low resolution.. WHY?! • How to start animation when I'm pressing on item of ListView?

  I want to implement next functional: When I'm tapping on ListView's item, it's turning into red color. If I release it has to reverse color back. I made transition drawable and set it as item's background. I tried to implement SimpleGestureListener and started animation on onDown and reversed it on onSingleTapUp events, but it doesn't give me any results (works fine, but items don't turn into red). I'm wondering if there's a git log command that will also print the corresponding historical file name beside each commit. It would be something like this, where we can interpret '%F' to be the (actually non-existent) placeholder for filename. git log --format='%H %F' --follow -- foo.txt I know this could be accomplished with git log --format='%H' --follow --numstat -- foo.txt but the output is not ideal since it requires some non-trivial parsing; each commit is strewn across multiple lines, and you'll still need to parse the file rename syntax ("bar.txt => foo.txt") to find what you're looking for.

I want to check if my date, for example 21.05.2010 is an allowed weekday in this array. My function always returns TRUE and somehow weekday is always 'Thursday' and i don't know why... Is there any other ways to check this or what can be my error in the code above? thx

• How to handle array element between int and Integer

  First, it is long post so if you need clarification please let me know. I'm new to Java and having difficulty deciding whether I should use int[] or Integer[]. I wrote a function that find odd_number from int[] array. public int[] find_odd(int[] arr) { int[] result = new int[arr.length]; for(int i=0; i<arr.length; i++) { if(arr[i] % 2 != 0) { //System.out.println(arr[i]); result[i] = arr[i]; } } return result; } Then, when I pass the int[] array consisting of some integer like below: int[] myArray = {-1, 0, 1, 2, 3}; int[] result = find_odd(myArray); The array "result" contains: 0, -1, 0, 1, 0, 3 Because in Java you have to define the size of array first, and empty int[] array element is 0 not null. So when I want to test the find_odd() function and expect the array to have odd numbers (which it does) only, it throws the error because the array also includes 0s representing "empty cell" as shown above. My test code: public void testFindOddPassValidIntArray() { int[] arr = {-2, -1, 0, 1, 3}; int[] result = findOddObj.find_odd(arr); //check if return array only contain odd number for(int i=0; i<result.length; i++) { if(result[i] != null) { assert is_odd(result[i]) : result[i]; } } } So, my question is should I use int[] array and add check for 0 element in my test like: if(result[i] != 0) { assert is_odd(result[i] : result[i] } But in this case, if find_odd() function is broken and returning 0 by miscalculation, I can't catch it because my test code would only assume that 0 is empty cell. OR should I use Integer[] array whose default is null? How do people deal with this kind of situation?

  Hello. I use mod_rewrite/.htaccess for pretty URLs. I'm using this condition/rule to eliminate trailing slashes (or rather: rewrite to the non-trailing-slash-URL, by a 301 redirect; I'm doing this to avoid duplicate content and because I like URLs with no trailing slashes better): RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^\.localhost$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.+)/$ http://%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L] Working well so far. Only drawback: it also forwards "multiple-trailing-slash"-URLs to non-trailing-slash-URLs. Example: http://example.tld/foo/bar////// forwards to http://example.tld/foo/bar while I only want http://example.tld/foo/bar/ to forward to http://example.tld/foo/bar. So, is it possible to only eliminate trailing slashes if it's actually just one trailing slash? Sorry if this is a somewhat annoying or weird question! Thanks.

I use the following code to disable: $("#cal").datePicker('disable'); It blacks out the text box but the image is still clickable. The problem is in IE, the date picker pop up comes up but does not close when the image button associated with the date picker is clicked. I also tried to bind a onclick function with the image to make it non-clickable. But that does not work as well. How can make the date picker image button non-clickable when the date picker is disabled. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Farzana

  I am looking for a PAM module that can use OpenID to do the authentication. My idea is that I want to logon my Linux box using my gmail account and password. I found there is a open source project in Google Code which seems to be doing the things I want but I don't see any code available for download. I saw there are so many examples or implementations but they are all about web apps. Is there any non-web based OpenID applications in the world? Is it technically possible to make a non-web based OpenID application? I naively think that it should be possible. I can emulate whatever packets the browser send out to the OpenID provider and get back the result. As long as my Linux box is connected to the Internet, I should be able to use my OpenID to login. Appreciate any comments, suggestions or pointers on how to make an OpenID PAM module. Thanks!

  I'm trying to use a single HTTPHandler to authenticate a user's open id and receive a claimresponse. The initial authentication works, but the claimresponse does not. The error I receive is "This webpage has a redirect loop." • Code Contracts: Do we have to specify Contract.Requires(...) statements redundantly in delegating me

  I'm intending to use the new .NET 4 Code Contracts feature for future development. This made me wonder if we have to specify equivalent Contract.Requires(...) statements redundantly in a chain of methods. I think a code example is worth a thousand words: public bool CrushGodzilla(string weapon, int velocity) { Contract.Requires(weapon != null); // long code return false; } public bool CrushGodzilla(string weapon) { Contract.Requires(weapon != null); // specify contract requirement here // as well??? return this.CrushGodzilla(weapon, int.MaxValue); } For runtime checking it doesn't matter much, as we will eventually always hit the requirement check, and we will get an error if it fails. However, is it considered bad practice when we don't specify the contract requirement here in the second overload again? Also, there will be the feature of compile time checking, and possibly also design time checking of code contracts. It seems it's not yet available for C# in Visual Studio 2010, but I think there are some languages like Spec# that already do. These engines will probably give us hints when we write code to call such a method and our argument currently can or will be null. So I wonder if these engines will always analyze a call stack until they find a method with a contract that is currently not satisfied? Furthermore, here I learned about the difference between Contract.Requires(...) and Contract.Assume(...). I suppose that difference is also to consider in the context of this question then?

Putting two and two together, wouldn't executing an entire thread inside a function-catch-block of its main function imbue it with thread-local storage?
