• taskmgr.exe - Wrong Volume

  The other day my girlfriend used my computer to use one of those additional resource CD's that come with text books. This particular CD worked by acting like what seemed like a web server that hosted a site that the student is supposed to use (cgi-bin, python scripts...the whole deal). Today, I opened task manager to shut down some rogue IE's and got the following in an error popup with the title taskmgr.exe - Wrong Volume and Cancel/Try Again/Continue buttons: The wrong volume is in the drive. Please insert volume DosageCalc into drive D: (FYI: DosageCalc = nursing student) Clicking Cancel or Continue lets me continue to task manager. The CD hasn't been in the drive for days and I've used it since then with no problems. Where could task manager be holding onto this reference? My guess would be the registry somewhere...but I don't even know where to begin looking.

Is this expected behavior or do I have something configured incorrectly? what to do to get around this? works fine without the https redirect.

  A friend of mine is trying to install AutoCAD. In the install log it is written Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (x86) Failed Installation aborted, Result=1603 I've found a site which (hopefully) explains how to solve this: here However, my friend has not been able to uninstall the redistributables. The error message says The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable I've already suggested running this but that didn't help much. Only some of the redistributables could be uninstalled. What can be done? Do you think running some other cleanup tool could work? Or will we have to uninstall manually (how exactly would we do that)?

I am currently using the AXL snippet <firstname>FirstNameFilter</firstname><lastname>LastNameFilter</lastname> This will work as & between two filters. for example my filter is FirstNameFilter = sam* LastNameFilter = joy* this will return the entries which satisfies both the filters. But i want to filter in such a way that we need to or this filter like i need to get the users with First Name is sam* or last name = joy*. Whether anyone did such AXL programming?   I am using UITabbarController with 8 to 9 items (these are UINavigation controllers) It is easy to select an item programmatically using tabbarcontroller.selectedIdex = x; if x value is between 0 to 4 then it's work as expected but if it's greater than 4 then it's select "More" as a view controller.   Hi All, I had a user in my oracle DB with some 'x' password for sometime. Without notifying my team I changed the password to 'y'. But my team members tried to connect to the machine with the old passowrd 'x' and as the limit was set, the user account got locked. I know how to set the resource limit for the login. • UITableview has problem reloading

  Hi guys, I've kinda finished my application for a school project but have run into a major "bug". It's a account management application. I'm unable to insert a picture here so here's a link: http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee112/seelani/Screenshot2010-12-22atPM075512.png Here's the problem when i click on the plus sign, i push a nav controller to load another view to handle the adding and deleting of categories. When i add and return back to the view above, it doesn't update. It only updates after i hit the button on the right which is another view used to change some settings, and return back to the page. I did some research on viewWillAppear and such but I'm still confused to why it doesn't work properly. This problem is also affecting my program when i delete a category, and return back to this view it crashes cos the view has not reloaded successfully. I will get this error when deleting and returning to the view. This is the editEmployee Action controller, so while edit page is displayed i want to display a selectvalue in dropdownbox,since "SelectList" takes 3 parameters one for value,one for text and other is for selected value, here i'm not getting what should i pass in 3rd parameter, coz its asking an object for selected value. • NavigationBar from UINavigationController not positioned correctly

  So, my iPad program has a pseudo-split view controller (one that I implemented, not base SDK one), and was working correctly a while ago. It has the basic layout (UINavController for master, content view controller for detail on right), but I have it so the master view doesn't disappear when rotated into portrait view. Recently, I added in a UITabBarController to contain the entire split view, which has made the navigation bar go wonky, while all the other views are positioned fine. In addition, the navigation bar only gets mispositioned when the program starts up while the iPad is in landscape, or upside-down portrait. If it starts out in portrait, everything is fine. But the UIImageView must contain a special image, depending on the device's current orientation. • Ghosting context menu clicks in WinXP

  Let me preface by saying I have a lot of windows open most of the time, although not resource intensive ones, just browsers, ssh sessions, a music player, FTP client, Notepad++, IM clkients, etc. Anyway, I get a lot of weird visual "ghosting" type effects. For example when right-clicking and then selecting an option from a context menu the selected item will remain in view until I right click somewhere on the desktop. Same thing happens when selecting items from the File, Edit, etc. menu in various programs. I'm assuming this is just a result of a less than high quality video card (NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200), all the other hardware in the machine is newer higher quality, that specific video card was added after the fact for multiple monitors. I have looked all over the web for solutions and have increased the number of GDI handles for Windows, reduced the hardware accelaration on the card, etc. Any suggestions other than replace the card?
