  • How to make outlook.com/Office 365 use plain text and/or conventional quotes?

    I am forced to use the web version of Outlook at Office 365. I really dislike how it formats e-mail as well as how it handles quoting when replying. In the desktop version of Outlook you can at least force it too display the messages in plain text and then you can manually bottom post/post interleaved. Plain text also changes how it handles quotes: " " is used rather than some braindead RTF version of format=flowed (I like format=flowed when it is implemented without bugs) although the attribution line is completely useless but in the online version I can't find a way to achieve even this. Any ideas? I guess a Greasemonkey script could do this?

  • Undeliverable messages to newly migrated Exchange user

    We are in the process of migrating from our old domain to a new one, part of which involves migrating mailboxes from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007. A bunch of users have been migrated already without problems. However, one of the users is having trouble receiving emails from others. When someone sends to him, they get an Undeliverable NDR that says "A configuration error in the e-mail system caused the message to bounce between two servers or to be forwarded between two recipients." The message shows the user's distinguished name as /OU=OurDomain/CN=Recipients/CN=USER57137172. The user's account name should just be "USER", so I don't know where the extra numbers ("57137172") are coming from. Thanks in advance.

    XP is my host. Ubuntu is my Guest in VMware. When I do the following commands, I should get SMTP respones but now get no response. I use wireshark to analayze it.     I am VERY new to installing any type of server program and to running any opensource type software in general. I am running Windows Server 2008R2. I want to install Collective Access to run locally only on my Intranet at home. So my host is localhost I sucessfully installed PHP and MYSQL. I installed CA in this directory C:/inetpub/wwwroot/collectiveaccess. 1st. I do not want to send mail through collective access. Will it install without all the email information? Can I comment those requirements out in the global config and setup.php file? 2nd I am getting the error. There is no full time IT staff. My past experience with Symantec has been bad, but I've heard good things about this product. However, I've also read that it's kind of a nightmare to setup and administer, and may not be worth it for the size of our network.

    When I open gvim, it gives "Mapping not found" warning. I found out that the problem is related to the snipmates.vim plugin. But I can't locate where exactly in snipmates.vim file this error is produced. Is there a way to find out the exact cause? Note: gvim 7.2 runs on Windows XP. I found a solution advice in vim mail list. gvim -V20 2>&1 | tee logfile I run this command from command prompt but it doesn't output anything into the logfile. All the logs are written on the entry screen of gvim.

I quite like the looks and the price of this barebone: http://www.asus.de/Barebone_PC/S_Series_7L/S2P8H61E However it comes with integrated graphics and audio and only has one free PCI-Express slot. Which would mean in the worst case, where both integrated graphics and audio turn out to be insufficient, I could only upgrade one.   • Exim force TLS for specific destination domain

    Hi, I need to configure Exim to require TLS when sending emails to a specific domain. I know that I can use hosts_require_tls = host in the smtp transport. But it sounds like that requires that I set the host of the receiving mail server. I would instead like to specify the domain. Also, if I use this, will all other hosts/domains work without TLS?   • Postfix - How to configure to send these emails?

    I want my mailserver to send mail from my local application "from" any user supplied email address "to" my own address, say "[email protected]". The MX records for "mysite.com" actually point to a different server, even though the outgoing mainserver is running with mydomain set as "mysite.com". Perhaps this is part of the problem? postfix is currently causing a SMTPRecipientsRefused error within the python application. Can anyone point me to what to change in the configuration?     My office utilizes Outlook 2010 and Exchange for e-mail, and our calendars show free/busy information by default. Background I work from home once a week, so I have created an event that lists me as tentative for the entire workday, titled "Working from Home - Available Remotely". However, those attempting to schedule a meeting with me won't see this title, and therefore won't think they can schedule an event. As much as I'd like to get out meetings (!) it's important that folks be able to schedule with me. Question Is there a way to make the title/details public for this one recurring event so that when others attempt to schedule a meeting with me, Attempted Solutions I've tried creating a public calendar and sharing all the details of that calendar. However, all of my calendars are not included when someone wants to schedule with me, and so I'm shown as free unless someone specifically looks at my public calendar. I've Googled around, to no avail.

    I want to know how to move or get rid of /dev/tty8 log output in Ubuntu 9.10. /dev/tty7 is my regular X session. When I am switching user to test account where I can try and test setups and configs I am at next available console i.e. /dev/tty9 because /dev/tty8 is taken by log output. Where can I configure this ? All I've found related to /dev/tty8 is commented lines in /etc/rsyslog.d/50-default.conf. I changed it like that: daemon,mail.*;\ news.=crit;news.=err;news.=notice;\ *.=debug;*.=info;\ *.=notice;*.=warn /dev/tty12 And I've got nice log output on /dev/tty12 but where is configuration for log output on /dev/tty8. How can I change it?

    I have a postfix/amavis relay server, with the domain name mail.example.com. It will be a relay for dozens of VPSs, which will have domains like hostname.example.net. So i have actually two questions. Is it possible to dkim sing the mails originating from the VPSs over the postfix relay on the relay server? Or have the mails to be signed on the VPSs where they are actually from? Would a amavis configuration like this be ok? # DKIM key dkim_key('example.com', 'dkim', '/var/dkim/DKIMkey.pem'); # Cover subdomains in @dkim_signature_options_bysender_maps= (): @dkim_signature_options_bysender_maps = ( { # Cover subdomains example.net.   • IIS Reverse Proxy support for multiple protocols

    I have a server 2012 machine running IIS. It's in my DMZ and I would like to use it to do reverse proxy for several services. I can get it to route traffic on port 80 to 2 separate internal servers running web apps but there are some issues when I try to forward SSH (not port 80/443) and then when I try to forward OWA (Micrsoft exchange's 'webmail' services) to the internal mail server I run in to issues with guides (like this: http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2013/07/19/reverse-proxy-for-exchange-server-2013-using-iis-arr-part-1.aspx) when they say to have all traffic forwarded to the server farm created for OWA. My question for you all is this - given that there is no more Threat Management Gateway (only runs on server 2008) and ISA 2006 is also dead - is it possible to support multiple types of reverse proxies with different protocols (ftp, ssh, web, ssl-web) in IIS, or would it be better to install a different DMZ OS like a nginx server and use linux firewalls + nginx reverse proxy?   • Exchange ActiveSync does not work for one user

    One particular user in our system is unable to connect to Exchange ActiveSync via her iPhone. When I try to connect using my own credentials on her iPhone it works (everything begins syncing), but when I input her credentials, the Settings app verifies the credentials are correct but nothing syncs. For example, if I open Mail, no items are shown. When I attempt to force a sync, it says "Cannot connect to server." In Exchange 2010 Management Console the user is no different than the others. Exchange ActiveSync is set as "Enable" in Mailbox Features. EDIT: Alternatively, if there is some easy way to create a new useraccount/mailbox and copy all of the contents of the old one over, I bet it would work, and that would be fine as well. She is a Mac user so we do not have to worry about her Active Directory account.

    Hi I'm working on some software, that runs on a Centos 5.xx installation. I'ts not allowed for our customers to log in to Linux, everything is done from Windows applications, developed by us. So we have build a frontend for the user to configure network setup: Static/DHCP, ip-address, gateway, DNS, Hostname. Right now I let the user enter the information in the Windows app, and then write it on the Linux server like this: Write to /etc/resolv.conf: Nameserver Write to /etc/sysconfig/network: Gateway and Hostname Write to /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0: Ipaddress, Netmask, Bootproto(DHCP or Static) I also (after some time) found out that I was unable to send mail, unless I wrote in /etc/hosts: 127.0.0.1 Hostname All this seems to work, but is there a better/easier way to do this? Also, I read the network configuration nearly the same way, but if I use DHCP, I miss som information, for instance the Ip-address. I know that I can get some information from the commandline (ifconfig), but I dont get for instance Hostname, Gateway and DNS. Is there a commandline tool that will display this?

  • Check IMAP via PHP for mesages in order to interact with them via PHP?

    I use Google to administer my e-mails and I run Nginx + PHP. If I want to check incoming mail to interact with each message subject (to trigger an action), as far as I know, I have only two options: 1) access Google via IMAP PHP / cron job or 2) forward the messages to my server where I can have a subdomain set to pipe the messages to a PHP script. Frankly, I'd preffer the first option because I have already all the IMAP functions tested and done. And if the second solution is really the best, I'd preffer to use Postfix. However, id like some light grom somebody who has already browsed this unknown waters. Thank you.
