  • Custom Cell over lapping.

    I am trying to use a custom cell, My custom cell is of size 320*220 pixels. My table size is 320* by 1500 which is large enough I have set custom cell's view in scale to fill mode. But when i fill the table using custom cell all i see is first row. i have total four rows to be filld in a custom way. but they gets overlapped and i can not see any of the table..   • Defining pages by custom variable, reporting to Google Analytics

    Does anyone know how I could add some information to my page (whether in a meta tag or some other way) to indicate to Google Analytics that a page is targeted to a certain segment? This is pretty straightforward on my main site where everything is set up in hierarchy by target user so I can just use the URL to filter the data. However for my subdomains, its a flat structure that's just a bunch of landing and conversion pages so I can't use the URL. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

  • Custom Response + HTTP status?

    Hi, I have a rest interface for my project. For one class i have a POST method where you can post an xml and i RETURN a custom response like: <userInvitation>Invalid email</userInvitation> if the email from the xml which was posted, was incorrect + other custom messages i have defined for different situations. For all of these the HTTP STATUS is automatically put on 200 (OK). Is there any way to change it? Ps: I know that i can throw a web application like : throw new WebApplicationException(Response.Status.BAD_REQUEST); but in this case my custom response is no more included. So i just want to return my custom error + 400 as http response. Thanks in advance.

    So, I've been doing android application tutorials and everytime I create a package, for example the helloAndroid tutorial is com.example.android. When it saves this to src it creates a folder for com, another for example and one last one for android.     I'm trying to create a custom tag. Inside this custom tag, I want to be able to have some logic that checks if the user is logged in, and then have the tag rendered accordingly. This is what I have: def user_actions(context): request = template.Variable('request').resolve(context) return { 'auth': request['user'].is_athenticated() } register.inclusion_tag('layout_elements/user_actions.html', takes_context=True)(user_actions) When I run this, I get this error: Caught VariableDoesNotExist while rendering: Failed lookup for key [request] in u'[{}]' The view that renders this ends like this: return render_to_response('start/home.html', {}, context_instance=RequestContext(request)) Why doesn't the tag get a RequestContext object instead of the Context object? How can I get the tag to receive the RequestContext instead of the Context? EDIT: Whether or not it's possible to get a RequestContext inside a custom tag, I'd still be interested to know the "correct" or best way to determine a user's authentication state from within the custom tag. If that's not possible, then perhaps that kind of logic belongs elsewhere? Where?

  • For a 1view/scene to 2view/scene app, what application should I choose in Xcode?

    The question may be simple to some others, but I have been struggling with this for a while. The app I want would be like this: first scene/view with two big buttons (no toolbar item), click each one to get into two new scenes. So totally three scenes. In Xcode, what application should I choose? And in storyboard how/should I drag/draw? Thanks. Update: thanks for the link, the big-number-user. I actually read that tutorial before I asked. A little update on what I got so far: 1, I selected "single view", so there's view controller 1 (VC1) in the storyboard. 2, dragged a navigation controller (NC), and move the initial view arrow pointing to NC 3, control-drag to link NC and VC1, selected "relationship segue root view controller" when some small dialog popup. IS THIS CORRECT? 4, created two additional VC, VC3 and VC4, control-drag link each to NC. selected "push", IS THIS CORRECT? 5, in VC1, I added two buttons, showVC3 and showVC4. NOW I DON'T KNOW how to add IBAction to button showVC3 and showVC4. I tried to control-drag it to ViewController.m file @interface and @end section, but failed. What should I do next?

    I'm trying to prevent my application to call the same method twice in the event of a double-click, or if the user presses different buttons quickly, almost at the same time. I have clickable Views, acting as buttons, that call the same method but passing different parameters. This is the call: startTheSearch(context, getState(), what, where); Inside this method I'm creating a new Thread, because it queries a web server for the result: new Thread(new Runnable() { public void run() { progDiag = ProgressDialog.show(ctx, null, "Searching", true); getServerXML(context, what, where, searchIsCustom, mOffset); handler.sendEmptyMessage(0); } }).start(); The problem is that upon two quick clicks, the method is fired twice, two threads are created, and consequently two new activities are created. That makes my app crash. When the methods are done, and we have the result from the server, we call the handler: private Handler handler = new Handler() { @Override public void handleMessage(Message msg) { super.handleMessage(msg); try { Intent i = new Intent(Golf.this, Result.class); Bundle b = new Bundle(); b.putString("what", mWhat); b.putString("where", mWhere); b.putInt("offset", mOffset); b.putBoolean("searchIsCustom", searchIsCustom); i.putExtras(b); startActivityForResult(i, Activity.RESULT_OK); progDiag.dismiss(); } catch (Exception e) { Alerts.generalDialogAlert("Error", "settings", ctx); } } }; I tried to have a global boolean variable called "blocked" initially set to false, creating a condition like: if(!blocked){ blocked = true; new Thread(new Runnable() { public void run() { But this only seems to work on slower phones like the G1, I tried on Nexus and before it set blocked = true, the second request has was granted. So is there any way I can block the method being called if it's already running, or if the thread has started so it wont create a new one? Please, I really need to fix this.     What i am trying to accomplish is have a randomly created number move around the screen but it is touchable. I am planning to have lots of numbers on the screen, so my question is what class is appropriate to use, so I could set a number randomly at run time and display it while it moves around the screen? I was planning the use a TextView, since I want to use a custom font of mine but I think creating a bunch at a time could cause a memory problem and to my understanding they cant move around the screen at runtime.
