• Very high Magento/Apache memory usage even without visitors (are we fooled by our hosting company?)

  I am no server guy and we have issues with our speed so I come here asking for advise. We have a VPS with 2 cores and 2gb of RAM at a Magento specialized hosting company. Over the course of the last weeks our site speed has gotten worse, even though our store is new, has less than 1000 SKUs and not even 100 visitos a day. At magespeedtest.com we only get 1.87 trans/sec @ 2.11 secs each with a mere 5 concurrent users. Our magento log files are clean, we have no huge database tables or anything like that. When we take a look at our server real time stats, we see that the memory usage jumped up from about 34% to 71% and now 82% in just a few days in idle, with no visitors on the site. Our hosting company said that we do not need to worry about that as it`s maybe related to mysql which creates buffers (which are maybe not even actually being used) and what is important is CPU and swap - stats are ok here. They also said that the low benchmark scores are caused by bad extensions or template modifications on our side. We are not sure if we can trust that statement as we only have 4 plugins installed (all from aheadworks and amasty which are known to be one of the best magento extension developers). Our template modifications are purely html and css, no modifications to the php code. Our pagespeed is ranked with 93/100 in firebug and Magento is properly configured, so the problem really just gets obvious when there are a handful of users on the site at the same time. Can anyone confirm our hosting`s statement about memory usage and where can I start looking for a solution?

• Passive mode FTP file download hangs from specific machine

  I have a server which is an AWS instance that just cannot download files from a specific FTP server. I can connect to the FTP server fine and run some commands, but when I request a file it just hangs. Here is the debug output of the base linux ftp client after login: ---> SYST 215 UNIX Type: Apache FtpServer Remote system type is UNIX. ftp> get outgoing/catalog.gz catalog.gz local: catalog.gz remote: outgoing/catalog.gz ---> PASV 227 Entering Passive Mode (64,156,167,125,135,191) ---> RETR outgoing/catalog.gz 150 File status okay; about to open data connection. Thats it. Then it just sits there and nothing transfers. I have verified that a data connection is made but the client gets no data. ? ss -nt dst 64.156.167.125 State Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address:Port Peer Address:Port ESTAB 0 0 10.185.147.150:41190 64.156.167.125:21 ESTAB 0 0 10.185.147.150:48871 64.156.167.125:48557 The FTP server is not in my control and downloads from other FTP servers in passive mode have worked. Active mode does not work as the system is behind a firewall. Every FTP client I've tried has the same problem. The download works from other systems, even from other AWS instances I have with the same Security Group. Not necessarily the same distro or config though. I understand it may be some issue on the server side, but I want to know what it is about my particular machine where the transfer hangs and where on every other machine I can get my hands on, it works. Please let me know what the culprit on the client side could be or ideas on what else to look at.

• Notepad++ FTP best solution

  Hi, I use Notepad++ for more than 2 years now, and there's only 1 thing that it needs for me to be perfect: a actually-working-ftp-plugin. It has an ftp plugin, written by someone that meanwhile left the project (by meanwhile I mean a long time ago), and since then nobody had courage to improve it. The problem is that it does't handle connections very well. Sometimes it lost connection with the server and literally "blocks", others don't save the files properly, other only load half of the ftp files, etc etc .. My question is: Is there a way to use ftp and notepad++ (without using its build-in ftp or a ftp client like filezilla)? I've tried using NetDrive, but it gets stuck sometimes (makes the editor crash), and everytime the temporary file is refreshed by windows / NetDrive, it will load the new file without asking and skip the pointer to the end of the file (very very very annoying). In case you know how to make the built-in notepad++ ftp plugin work at 100%, I'd be much more happy! I'd like to have some feedback from you guys :) (I'm using Windows Vista) Thanks in advance!

• Windows 7 clean install becomes corrupt after reboot (repeated many fresh installs)

  My laptop keeps crashing on boot after clean Windows 7 install. Ok, here is the story, and some fact. Computer: Samsung NP900X3C-A04HK (256GB SSD, 8GB RAM) OS to install: Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (not from Samsung, own fresh Win) I purchased this laptop about a year ago, never booted it into the Windows Home that was installed on it, installed directly Ubuntu on the machine. Full disc encryption was the selected install, so of course it wiped the complete disc (including Samsung Recovery Partition). After some time, I felt like going back to Windows, as Windows 7 is actually quite nice. So I went to buy a fresh Windows 7Ultimate with SP1. Now to the tricky part. Windows installs perfectly, and after installing all Windows updates, drivers from Samsung, software I need, it is time for shutting it down and go to bed. Starting it up again, and it is not booting, these are the type of errors I have gotten so far (fresh installed it more then a dozen times now, and tried different suggestions from threads on the net). Windows failed to start... Status: 0xc000000f Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible. File: /boot/bcd Status: 0xc000000f Info: an error occurred while attempting to read the boot configuration data. And some other errors, not all the same. Not memory of this. I have run different disc checks, and all says my SSD is in perfect shape. Note: Soft reboots from Windows menu works, never gets corrupted. But if I Shutdown and then start it up again, this is when it happens. Can someone help me not get back to Ubunut? What can be the cause, and how can it be fixed so I do not get there problems again?

• Windows 7 delayed file delete

  I'm stuck with a pretty rare problem that happens on Windows 7 OS only. Every time I'm deleting the file with *.exe extension through explorer, the file doesn't get deleted immediately. I'm forced to wait for around one-two minutes before the system will delete the file. The main problem is that I cannot develop in such situation, because every time I build my solution, the old executable gets 'deleted', but is still there. So the new one cannot be created by Visual Studio. This problem breaks the Steam update progress and a few other installers functionality too. Fresh installed Win7 doesn't have this kind of trouble, so I guess this must be some bad registry entries or some services. Browsing the internet for solutions I found only this: http://www.sevenforums.com/software/72091-several-minute-delay-when-deleting-any-exe-file.html. But the solution the author found is not working (change the userName :)). Is there any ideas how to find what causes this to happen? BTW: when I place the file into Trash bin, no delay occurs. When I delete file with Total Commander - no delay too. Tech details: Windows 7 x64 Ultimate. UPD: maybe some shadow copying or system restore services (though I have the system restore turned off) block the files? Can't even guess...

• windows server 2003 speed issues

  I have a HP server with windows server 2003 and 50 windows XP clients. Since a week and a half the networks speed suddenly drop 2-3 times per day. It gets so slow that none of the clients could work with the HIS program installed on them. We tried so many different things such as replacing the hubs,switches and even some wires. Every time one of these changes solves the problem and the network goes back to its normal state. I checked everything. Even when I disconnected all the clients from the server and connected it to just one computer the problem still remained for 2 hours. I just narrowed down the problem to the couple of likely speculations as follows: viruses? (Updated Kaspersky running on the server shows none) server hardware failure? Physical memory usage on the server? (Because the last time the problem occurred none of the changes above solved the issue so I restarted the server an checked the physical memory usage which was 2 GBs. But I noticed it's increasing over time to over 9 GBs...the server has 16 GBs of RAM.) I surfed the internet and got nothing. Any help would do us a lot....thanks in advance

• Windows 7 VM log on lockout

  My Windows 7 XP Mode virtual machine has just locked me out of password log on. Two years of use and it never required I use a password on wake up, I never asked for that. Suddenly yesterday, password required! I located password and used it successfully a couple of times, but now even that is not good enough! Perhaps (unfairly) because I tried to get to the bottom of the new phenomenon and removed the password from the user accounts? Permissions are still set to ok for all users. I have been all the way through the settings I can access with the VM file hibernated, and have deleted the previously saved log on info, which always previously worked automatically as charged. Now when I attempt to log on it asks me for credentials, seems like progress, but when I offer them, and check the "remember my credentials" box, I still get the splash screen "The system could not log you on. [reminder about caps...]" !! Round and round. Back up and restore point versions of the VM toss me back into the same log on loop. There are no other machines on any network, I am the administrator and sole user. It must be specifically about the log on, a speck of dust corruption ... is there a way around this? I tried creating a new VM but the black inner box gets stuck at one point requesting I insert a boot disc. Thanks for input, AKa

• What is a good replacement for StumbleUpon's Share feature?

  I've been using Firefox + StumbleUpon's Share feature with my friends for years now. It is a perfect way of sharing links directly with your friends. You first need to be Following each other and then on the SU toolbar, you can "Share" with your list of friends. You can even include a personal message. The friend will receive a notification with # of pending shares in their toolbar (bold & red). They click the stumble button and it will navigate to the site plus show a yellow bar with your message. I literally use it daily. But then Chrome came along and beat the tar out of Firefox (and other browsers) in terms of usability and performance. But it doesn't (and never will according to Google) allow toolbars. StumbleUpon's solution in Chrome is a fake toolbar (html) that gets injected into the page you're viewing. It's buggy and performance is low. Overall it's not an acceptable solution. I'm looking for a replacement with something that is just as easy to send/receive links. I was thinking of Twitter DM's and using a bookmarklet, but I wanted to survey the collective for other options Thanks in advance for your input!

• Old network login passed to IIS

  Let me start by saying that I am not a server guy - I am a developer. But I develop and manage an ASP.NET application that uses Windows authentication. I've run into the problem I am about to describe before, and I would just like to understand how to remedy it since I am the one who always gets the original support request. A user, let's call her JaneDoe, has just gotten married and her login has been changed to JaneJones. We have an application that uses Windows authentication to store the user's login name to a table and then redirects the user to another non-Windows authenticated site with a GUID which points to the table entry we just made. When the user reaches the second site, we read in the login name from the database using the GUID that was passed. Then, we look up the login name in another database where we track application permissions. The problem is that the user is logging into her workstation as JaneJones, but the Windows authenticated site is still receiving a login name of JaneDoe. Is this a domain controller issue? Is it a workstation issue? What's the best way to resolve this?

• What is wrong with my home network? (Routing and connection issues)

  I have a corporate laptop that was provided to me by a client and I'm having some rather odd difficulties with it when I put the laptop on my home network. When I first brought the machine home it behaved like any other laptop. Once it was connected to the network it was assigned an IP address and I could remote into it just fine using the machine name. Lately though, whenever I put this laptop on my network I am not able to ping or RDP into the machine as the host name doesn't properly resolve. Additionally I'm able to see the device and it's assigned IP address clearly in my router firmware. This gets even more strange as now when I try to ping it's IP address listed in my router, I see that it's actually trying to ping my own machine (screenshot of this very odd event below). This has actually driven me crazy to the point that I have actually replaced my router (it was behaving oddly in other ways), and I'm continuing to have these problems. The above ping capture is from the new router. As far as network goes I am now currently using an NetGear R7000 Nighthawk and I haven't customized any of the networking settings in the router just yet (installed yesterday). I would appreciate any advice possible and would be happy to provide further diagnostic information. Networking isn't my strong suit, so I'm not even sure where to begin unraveling this thing.

  Does anybody of a way to access files and directories that have a % in their name (which is valid) from the command-line? Specifically, if there are two %’s and the text between them happens to correspond to an environment variable. For example, if there is a file called C:\blah\%temp%.txt or a folder called C:\Program Files\%temp%\, none of the following will work because the variable gets expanded: > dir "c:\blah\%temp%.txt" > dir "c:\blah\^%temp^%.txt" > dir "c:\blah\%%temp%%.txt" > dir "c:\blah\\%temp\%.txt" > dir "c:\program files\%temp%" > dir "c:\program files\^%temp^%" > dir "c:\program files\%%temp%%" > dir "c:\program files\\%temp\%" Using wildcards will work, but does not uniquely select the file/folder and may include others: > dir "c:\blah\?temp?.txt"        (also shows ztempz.temp, 1tempa.txt, etc.) > dir "c:\program files\?temp?"   (likewise) (This is frustrating because every now and then—usually when Explorer is restarted for whatever reason—the environment variables stop expanding and some places where they are used end up creating files or directories with the environment variable in it. • How can I use apt-get to resolve package dependencies when there are multiple versions in the repository?

  I've package a-package.deb which depends on b-package.deb in version 1.0. Everything works fine. But now a b-package in version 1.1 gets added to the repository. I'd suspect that apt-get installs the a-package and version 1.0 of the b-package. What really happens is, that a-package won't get installed: # apt-get install a-package Reading package lists... This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. • Windows Server 2008 (x64): Wont boot past bios page

  Happy New Year, Since a month or so ago I inherited responsibility for small network administration for my sins. The domain controller (yes there is only one, and yes I know it is best practice to have two even in a small domain setup) went down overnight and I have been trying all day to get it back up and running. Unfortunately this machine also administers our entire ActiveDirectory setup: 1) It goes thru the BIOS without any errors, nothing whatsoever 2) It gets into the “select safe mode, safe mode with networking, normal” etc and if you select either of the safe mode options it loads a few files then reboots. If you select normal it just runs for a bit (doesn’t get to the windows splash screen) and then reboots again. 3) If you select windows repair, it asks for an image to repair too: however it would appear that none was taken that can be used (!!) or one is not being shown. 4) I have tried repairing the boot sector and the boot configuration using Bootrec.exe, both which it says were completed successfully but still it doesn’t work. 5) I have tried swapping the drives into another server to rule out hardware and that didn’t work either so clearly it’s the OS. 6) I have tried running chkdsk which ran fine, and also memory check which was also fine. We do have another machine on the network that was installed as a DC so when we decommission the current infrastructure but when I try and "promote" this to the lead DC then I get “you cannot modify domain or trust information because a PDC emulator cannot be contacted" so I am unable to replicare the ActiveDirectory details. If anyone can think of any direction I should follow it would be greatly appreciated, Thanks, Alex

• Windows 8 doesn't start up after installation

  I have a DELL INSPIRON n5110 machine running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. It has 6GB of RAM and 500 GB hard disk capable to run any Windows and Linux system. And I recently attempted to install Windows 8 in the machine. Installation goes fine and smooth until the final stage when windows is done installing and GETS DEVICES READY. When GETTNG DEVICES READY reaches about 60%, the screen goes blank with the machine running. After a while it reboots. And after the new Windows Logo with dotted circles are done showing up, the screen goes blank again (when we'd expect login screen to show up). There is not even a cursor. I can see the HARD DISK ACTIVITY LED blinking but nothing shows up in the screen. I've tried CLEAN INSTALL several times. The DVD is fine, it installed and worked well in my friends' laptop PCs. I tried installing both PRO version and ENTERPRISE version and both 32-bit and 64-bit. But the problem was same everytime. Finally, I had to reinstall Windows 7 which installed and ran without any problem. The problem, we can guess, is GRAPHICS perhaps. I have Intel SandyBridge Graphics Mobile Chipset (Intel HD Graphics 3000). But if Windows 7 and Linux distrubutions like Mint and BackTrack can run on the machine, why on earth, would Windows 8 not run?

• Silverlight Recruiting Application Part 6 - Adding an Interview Scheduling Module/View

  Between the last post and this one I went ahead and carried the ideas for the Jobs module and view into the Applicants module and view- they're both doing more or less the same thing, except with different objects being at their core.  Made for an easy cut-and-paste operation with a few items being switched from one to another.  Now that we have the ability to add postings and applicants, wouldn't it be nice if we could schedule an interview?  Of course it would! Scheduling Module I think you get the drift from previous posts that these project structures start looking somewhat similar.  The interview scheduling module is no different than the rest- it gets a SchedulingModule.cs file at the root that inherits from IModule, and there is a single SchedulerView.xsml and SchedulerViewModel.cs setup for our V+VM.  We have one unique concern as we enter into this- RadScheduler deals with AppointmentsSource, not ItemsSource, so there are some special considerations to take into account when planning this module. 201.        entityInterview.PostingID = appointmentInterview.PostingID; 202.    } 203.   204.    #endregion 205.} One thing we're doing here which you won't see in any of the other ViewModels is creating a duplicate collection.  I know this is something which will be fixed down the line for using RadScheduler, simplifying this process, but with WCF RIA changing as it does I wanted to ensure functionality would remain consistent as I continued development on this application.  So, I do a little bit of duplication, but for the greater good.  This all takes place starting on line 79, so for every entity that comes back we add it to the collection that is bound to RadScheduler.  Otherwise, the DelegateCommands that you see correspond directly to the events they are named after.  In each case, rather than sending over the full event arguments, I just send in the appointment in question (coming through as the object obj in all cases) so I can add (line 91), edit (line 119), and delete appointments (line 142) like normal.  This just ensures they get updated back to my database.  Also, the one bit of code you won't see is for the Appointment Creating (line 110) event- that is because in the command I've created I simply make the replacement I need to: 1.void element_AppointmentCreating(object sender, AppointmentCreatingEventArgs e) 2.{ 3.    e.NewAppointment = new InterviewAppointment(); 204.    } 205.   206.    #endregion 207.} Nice... right? :) One really important thing to note as well.  See on line 51 where I set the DataContext before the Loaded event?  This is super important, as if you don't have this set before the usercontrol is loaded, the DataContextProxy has no context to use and your EditAppointmentDialog Job/Applicant dropdowns will be blank and empty.  Trust me on this, took a little bit of debugging to figure out that by setting the DataContext post-loaded would only lead to disaster and frustration.  Otherwise, the only other real difference is that instead of sending an ActionHistory item through an event to get added to the database and saved, I do those right in the callback from submitting.  The Result Again, I only have to post one picture because these bad boys used nearly identical code for both the MVVM and the code-behind views, so our end result is... So what have we learned here today?  One, for the most part this MVVM thing is somewhat easy.  Yeah, you sometimes have to write a bunch of extra code, but with the help of a few useful snippits you can turn the process into a pretty streamlined little workflow.  Heck, this story gets even easier as you can see in this blog post by Michael Washington- specifically run a find on 'InvokeCommandAction' and you'll see the section regarding the command on TreeView in Blend 4.  Brilliant!  MVVM never looked so sweet! • Silverlight Recruiting Application Part 6 - Adding an Interview Scheduling Module/View

  Between the last post and this one I went ahead and carried the ideas for the Jobs module and view into the Applicants module and view- they're both doing more or less the same thing, except with different objects being at their core.  Made for an easy cut-and-paste operation with a few items being switched from one to another.  Now that we have the ability to add postings and applicants, wouldn't it be nice if we could schedule an interview?  Of course it would! Scheduling Module I think you get the drift from previous posts that these project structures start looking somewhat similar.  The interview scheduling module is no different than the rest- it gets a SchedulingModule.cs file at the root that inherits from IModule, and there is a single SchedulerView.xsml and SchedulerViewModel.cs setup for our V+VM.  We have one unique concern as we enter into this- RadScheduler deals with AppointmentsSource, not ItemsSource, so there are some special considerations to take into account when planning this module. Customizing the Edit Appointment Dialog This initially sounds a lot more intimidating than it really is.  The first step here depends on what you're dealing with for theming, but for ease of everything I went ahead and extracted my templates in Blend for RadScheduler so I could modify it as I pleased.  For the faint of heart, the RadScheduler template is a few thousand lines of goodness since there are some very complex things going on in that control.  I've gone ahead and trimmed down the template parts I don't need as much as possible, so what is left is all that is relevant to the 201.        entityInterview.PostingID = appointmentInterview.PostingID; 202.    } 203.   204.    #endregion 205.} One thing we're doing here which you won't see in any of the other ViewModels is creating a duplicate collection.  I know this is something which will be fixed down the line for using RadScheduler, simplifying this process, but with WCF RIA changing as it does I wanted to ensure functionality would remain consistent as I continued development on this application.  So, I do a little bit of duplication, but for the greater good.  This all takes place starting on line 79, so for every entity that comes back we add it to the collection that is bound to RadScheduler.  Otherwise, the DelegateCommands that you see correspond directly to the events they are named after.  In each case, rather than sending over the full event arguments, I just send in the appointment in question (coming through as the object obj in all cases) so I can add (line 91), edit (line 119), and delete appointments (line 142) like normal.  This just ensures they get updated back to my database.  Also, the one bit of code you won't see is for the Appointment Creating (line 110) event- that is because in the command I've created I simply make the replacement I need to: 1.void element_AppointmentCreating(object sender, AppointmentCreatingEventArgs e) 2.{ 3.    e.NewAppointment = new InterviewAppointment(); So what have we learned here today?  One, for the most part this MVVM thing is somewhat easy.  Yeah, you sometimes have to write a bunch of extra code, but with the help of a few useful snippits you can turn the process into a pretty streamlined little workflow.  Heck, this story gets even easier as you can see in this blog post by Michael Washington- specifically run a find on 'InvokeCommandAction' and you'll see the section regarding the command on TreeView in Blend 4.  Brilliant!  MVVM never looked so sweet!   So the wonderful low down on this doozie of a problem: short version: We are building a distribution system for this item of software we're using. Basically we take out build artifact, store it on an ftp server which passes it to multiple clients which execute scripts to patch their servers. Long version: 1 distribution server multiple client servers software: jython 2.5.1, ant 1.8.0, pyro 3.10 The distribution server has an FTP server and a PYRO client running on it. Each client server has a PRYO server running on it. When the PYRO client is told to start the patch procedure then it reads a machine list which contains a list of all the client servers. Then connects to each of the PYRO servers one by one and execute the patch procedure. The procedure is: getPatch (gets the latest patch for that server), StopServer (stops the software that may or maynot be accessing what needs to be patched), Apply patch, StartServer. Each of the processes calls an ANT script that passes with some folder names and other config passes around. The fun part happens when you go to apply the patch. See below for error log. I had to remove the folder names because of NDA reasons. This is where it gets interesting. Running each section of the procedure individually. i.e. running getPatch, StopServer, etc. one at a time manually. This bug doesn't happen. Physically goign to the machine and running the processes it doesn't happen. Only when we call all 4 of the processes one after the other. It occurs during the ApplyPatch phase when an ANT replace script is called on multiple files. We think it might have something to do with the JVM keeping hold of the file for a split second or 2. however this is meant to have been patched according to the bug notes on ant. so in short: • Form contents not showing in email

  This is a followup to a question I posted yesterday. I thought everything was working fine, but today, I am not getting any results in the email from the drop down field. • Moving items from one tableView to another tableView with extra's

  Let's say I have 2 UITableViews next to eachother on an ipad in landscape-mode. Now I want to move multiple items from one tableView to the other. They are allowed to be inserted on the bottom of the other tableView. Both have multiSelection activated. Now the movement itself is no problem with normal cells. But in my program each cell has an object which contains the consolidationState of the cell. There are 4 states a cell can have: Basic, Holding, Parent, Child. Basic = an ordinary cell. Holding = a cell which contains multiple childs but which wont be shown in this state. Parent = a cell which contains multiple childs and are shown directly below this cell. Child = a cell created by the Parent cell. The object in each cell also has some array which contains its children. The object also holds a quantityValue, which is displayed on the cell itself. Now the movement gets tricky. Holding and Parent cells can't move at all. Basic cells can move freely. Child cells can move freely but based on how many Child cells are left in the Parent. The parent will change or be deleted all together. If a Parent cell has more then 1 Child cell left it will stay a Parent cell. Else the Parent has no or 1 Child cell left and is useless. It will then be deleted. The items that are moved will always be of the same state. They will all be Basic cells. This is how I programmed the movement: *First I determine which of the tableViews is the sender and which is the receiver. *Second I ask all indexPathsForSelectedRows and sort them from highest row to lowest. *Then I build the data to be transferred. This I do by looping through the selectedRows and ask their object from the sender's listOfItems. *When I saved all the data I need I delete all the items from the sender TableView. This is why I sorted the selectedRows so I can start at the highest indexPath.row and delete without screwing up the other indexPaths. *When I loop through the selectedRows I check whether I found a cell with state Basic or Child. *If its a Basic cell I do nothing and just delete the cell. (this works fine with all Basic Cells) *If its a Child cell I go and check it's Parent cell immidiately. Since all Child cells are directly below the Parent cell and no other the the Parent's Childs are below that Parent I can safely get the path of the selected Childcell and move upwards and find it's Parent cell. When this Parent cell is found (this will always happen, no exceptions) it has to change accordingly. *The Parent cell will either be deleted or the object inside will have its quantity and children reduced. *After the Parent cell has changed accordingly the Child cell is deleted similarly like the Basic cells *After the deletion of the cells the receiver tableView will build new indexPaths so the movedObjects will have a place to go. *I then insert the objects into the listOfItems of the receiver TableView. The code works in the following ways: Only Basic cells are moved. Basic cells and just 1 child for each parent is moved. A single Basic/Child cell is moved. The code doesn't work when: I select more then 1 or all childs of some parent cell. The problem happens somewhere into updating the parent cells. I'm staring blindly at the code now so maybe a fresh look will help fix things. Any help will be appreciated. • problem with tinymce textarea in dynamically added jquery tabs

  I have an aspx page(Default1.aspx),in which i have a static jquery tab and anchor tag upon clicking the anchor tag(Add Tab) I am adding new tab dynamically,which gets its contents loaded from another aspx page(Default2.aspx).This second page contains some text inside a tag,a textarea with 'tinymce' class which is placed inside a div with 'style="display:none" ' and this textarea gets displayed only upon clicking the edit button on that page. • Yet another UITableView Question

  Hi, I have a strange issue in my iPhone application. I have created a UITableView with 4 Sections and 3 Rows so totally 12 Rows. But - (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath The above method only gets called for 9 times instead of 12 times.why this happenning. My 4th section is not getting constructed but my 1st section gets duplicated as 4th section. Thanks for your time and help.   I am designing a chat server in java. The communication is Http based and not socket based. In the client side I have an applet. In the server side I have a servlet. Applet: I create a new thread to listen for incoming messages(GET method). The main thread is used to send messages(POST messages). In java console, i get the following output: Creating new thread Inside new thread. inside first while. Inside getNewMessage. Trying to listen to servlet. In the servlet side, i get the following output in the tomcat logs: Inside Doget. inside getNextMessage. AddedObserver. After i type a message in the applet, and send it, I get the foll output in java console: Trying to send msg :you deR?? Message sent! But in servlet side, I dont get anything in the logs. I used the O'Reily Java Servlet Programming as reference(The observer interface comes from there). But I am not getting any chat communication between two clients. As can be understood from the logs, the POST method is not called. Any reason for this?
