If I do not use views, what are the alternatives?   When indenting java code with annotations, vim insists on indenting like this: @Test public void ... I want the annotation to be in the same column as the method definition but I can't seem to find a way to tell vim to do that, except maybe using an indent expression but I'm not sure if I can use that together with regular cindent. edit: The filetype plugin was already turned on I just got a bit confused about indenting plugins. The accepted answer may be a bit hackish but works for me as well.

The catch of course is that the singleton connection will be exposed (either directly or indirectly) via a web-service (most probable a SOAP based web-service - located on a separate server from the calling app(s) ) - which means that there may be more than one app / instance attempting to connect to the singleton class.   Is it possible to programmatically lock certain attributes based on the user? So certain attributes can be written to by User2 and certain attributes cannot be written to by User2. • How to reflect over T to build an expression tree for a query?

  Hi all, I'm trying to build a generic class to work with entities from EF. This class talks to repositories, but it's this class that creates the expressions sent to the repositories. Anyway, I'm just trying to implement one virtual method that will act as a base for common querying. Specifically, it will accept a an int and it only needs to perform a query over the primary key of the entity in question. I've been screwing around with it and I've built a reflection which may or may not work. I say that because I get a NotSupportedException with a message of LINQ to Entities does not recognize the method 'System.Object GetValue(System.Object, System.Object[])' method, and this method cannot be translated into a store expression. So then I tried another approach and it produced the same exception but with the error of The LINQ expression node type 'ArrayIndex' is not supported in LINQ to Entities. I know it's because EF will not parse the expression the way L2S will. Anyway, I'm hopping someone with a bit more experience can point me into the right direction on this. It seems to me that it's impossible to use a ConfigurationManager in this particular scenario, but may be (and I hope to) wrong?

  I am close to finishing my first application (a UITableView style one) on the iphone but have realised it will look much better, and stand a far better chance of getting through the approval process, if it is presented as a navigation-based app rather than a view-based one - in hindsight my initial choice is not really suitable...   I have the following structure in a Java Web Application: TheProject -- [Web Pages] -- -- [WEB-INF] -- -- -- abc.txt -- -- index.jsp -- [Source Packages] -- -- [wservices] -- -- -- WS.java In WS.java, I am using the following code in a Web Method: InputStream fstream = this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("abc.txt"); But it is always returning a null. I need to read from that file, and I read that if you put the files in WEB-INF, you can access them with getResourceAsStream, yet the method is always returning a null. Any ideas of what I may be doing wrong?
