Say I got a simple input text field in a HTML and I was using some Ifs and Elses to check the value input into the text field. I mean in JQuery, the third If statement was still proceeded even if it had gone to the Else statement, but it stopped after the Else statement when I repeated the code in PHP script.

But some of the text in those div items are shown when the form is loaded and not when I select the option from dropdown box.     I wrote a cgi-script with c++ to return the query-string back to the requesting ajax object. I also write the query-string in a file in order to see if the cgi script works correctly.   • using respond_to format.js to replace the content of a textarea on rails

    I have some saved text in my create controller. If it's not stressful, I'd like it to populate a textarea on the page with the saved text along with displaying the error message fields (which is what's already happening). I've used things like replace_html before, but I don't know if there's an easy way to get to textarea or text field IDs and just replace the value of the text. For now I'm just going to do some javascript but it would be nice to know the rails shortcut. edit: I wasn't in the right mindset because this app uses extjs and was trying to figure out how to do it this way. The text box is actually an ext status bar (same as here : http://www.extjs.com/deploy/dev/examples/statusbar/statusbar-demo.html ) which doesn't get created until the page is finished loading. When I try to enter commnands like the first poster suggested, I get "setvalue is not a function". Playing with firebug on the page I can get it to set the value after loading by using (whatever method to get it through ext or scriptaculous).value = "lol" but none of the page update things work with this.

  • How to change the pop-up position of the jQuery DatePicker control

    Any idea how to get the DatePicker to appear at the end of the associated text box instead of directly below it? What tends to happen is that the text box is towards the bottom of the page and the DatePicker shifts up to account for it and totally covers the text box. If the user wants to type the date instead of pick it, they can't. I'd rather have it appear just after the text box so it doesn't matter how it adjusts vertically. Any idea how to control the positioning? I didn't see any settings for the widget, and I haven't had any luck tweaking the CSS settings, but I could easily be missing something.

  • cellForRowAtIndexPath not called for all sections

    I have a UITableView that has five sections. Just as the title describes cellForRowAtIndexPath is only being called for the first four. All connections have been made concerning the datasource and delegate. Also, my numberOfSectionsInTableView clearly returns 5. Printing out the number of sections from within cellForRowAtIndexPath shows the correct number, thus confirming that cellForRowAtIndexPath is simply not being called for all sections. What on earth is going on? I looked pretty hard for an answer to this question but could't find one. If this has already been answered please forgive me and point me in the correct direction. And when I click on Back button, no validation error message will be displayed and form will be posted to server. Is it possible to do that? could you please tell me how? My problem now is that when I click Back, validation rules are applied and prevent me from posting back to server.
