• TeamCity GitHub Private Key Access Denied

  Does anyone know of a tutorial for using TeamCity with github with ssh private keys. I have tried to set up git hub to connect and I either get a authentication error or get access denied. I am running TeamCity on Windows 2003. I am running the build agent as a custom account. I am running the web server under the administrator account. I have create a key for the custom account and administrator account. I now get an error that: The connection test failed: com.jcraft.jsch.JSchException: java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.ssh (Access is denied) If anyone has successfully set this up please help. I am going on 3 hours into this and want to get it solved. Thanks.

• CDO.Message problem on Windows Server 2008

  I have a Classic ASP page that creates a CDO.Message object to send email. The code works on Window Server 2003 but not 2008. On 2008 an "Access is denied" error gets thrown. Here is a simple test page I wrote to diagnose the problem. • IIS6 - 301 permanent redirect response accessing an asp.net web site

  I've installed an ASP.NET 2.0 virtual directory application on the default web site in IIS6 (Windows 2003 computer) with a Visual Studio generated web deployment setup. Unfortunately, following a successfull installation, I'm unable to access our web site. I get a permanent redirect from IIS as shown in the log below : 2010-02-25 15:32:41 W3SVC1 127.0.0.1 GET /naweb3 - 80 - 127.0.0.1 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+8.0;+Windows+NT+5.2;+Trident/4.0;+.NET+CLR+1.1.4322;+.NET+CLR+2.0.50727;+.NET+CLR+3.0.04506.30;+.NET+CLR+3.0.4506.2152;+.NET+CLR+3.5.30729) 301 0 0 This is the first time I have this kind of problem. Before I go with completely resetting IIS6 on this machine, I'm wondering what could cause this problem. The virtual directory configuration seems fine to me, no redirection at all at this level. • Need explanation for this boost::asio timer example

  There is a line in the 3rd tutorial on Boost asio that shows how to renew a timer and yet prevent there from being drift. The line is the following: t->expires_at(t->expires_at() + boost::posix_time::seconds(1)); Maybe it's me but I wasn't able to find documentation on the 2nd usage of expires_at(), with no parameters. expires_at(x) sets the new expiration, cancelling any pending completion handlers. So presumably expires_at() does what, return time of the last expiry? So by adding one second, if there should be some number of ms, say n ms, then it will in essence be "subtracted" from the next expiry since the time is being accounted for? What happens then if the time it takes to perform this handler is greater than 1 second in this example? Does it fire immediately?

• jQuery Autocomplete plug-in search configuration

  I'm looking into using jQuery autocomplete plug-in to implement user lookup by first or last name. It looks like by default autocomplete looks up words by character sequence no matter its occurrence in a word. So if you have data such as: javascript, asp, haskell and you type in 'as' you will get all three. I would like it to at least match beginning of the word. So in above example you get only 'asp'. Is there a way to configure jQuery Autocomplete plug-in to do this? Ultimately it would be even better to match by beginning of first or last name like it is in Gmail.

• VBA ActiveX controls grow in size over Remote Desktop Connection

  We have an Excel workbook with a number of ActiveX controls, running in Excel 2003 on Windows XP. When connecting using Remote Desktop, the ActiveX controls change font, sometimes font size, and sometimes orientation (in the case of a spinner control). This happens on first connection and also as the workbook is used - some of the controls then enlarge in size, often overlapping other controls and part of the workbook. I read somewhere this may be caused by improper connection management (not closing them) leading to increasing memory usage; are there other reasons why the display is so different over Remote Desktop and are there workarounds? (the properties of each control usually remain the same, so force-resizing them doesn't always have an effect)

  How do I create reusable custom new item form + preferrably, i don't want to tie this form to content type? I want to force render one hidden field (it could be render on the page, but make invisible or render on the page and display) and set field value programmatically (that's why it has to be rendered - to set it's value). Google has tons of information on how to create custom list form with sharepoint designer, but in my case, i don't want sharepoint designer for the advantages you see below. What i'm trying to achieve I want to be able to have a custom newform to create item (i don't want it to be as default). To open this newForm i would use CustomAction in item's ECB menu. In this form, i want to force render one hidden field and set it's value programmatically. • Force Browser Mode=IE8 and document mode=IE8 Standards

  I have a internal website hosted on IIS. I added the following meta code and also add http-header that the page should in IE8 Browser mode and document mode. <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=8" > We tested it on Visual Studio and and it works very well. However, after we publish the code to another IIS server, one developer reported that the page render in "IE8 Comatiblity" Browser Mode which causes some JavaScript to fail. There are more then 4 people working on the same windows server 2003 (RDP sessions). We use the same version of IE (same IE actually). Everyone get "IE8" Browser Mode but one person gets "IE8 Compatibility" Browser Mode. What else can make a specific user's IE load the page in a mode other than IE8 mode? PS. We checked the compatibility list in the IE; it is empty.

  I am writing a C# windows service that is doing some churning through the eventlog on a few domain controllers. Some of them are Windows Server 2003 and some are Windows Server 2008. Upon the service stopping I am attempting to resume where I left off in the logs. In order to do this instead of SELECT * FROM Win32_NTLogEvent WHERE --criteria for events I am looking for I am doing SELECT * FROM Win32_NTLogEvent WHERE TimeGenerated = --some date AND --criteria for events I am looking for At one point I was convinced that the TimeGenerated field was in the local time of the server but now it seems that the Windows 2008 Servers are using GMT to record that time. Can anyone shed some light on if this is a real different between the way the two operating systems function or is this a configuration problem?

• SQLXML with Windows 2008 and SQL Server 2008

  Hi all, I have an application that uses SQLXML to access data on the database. We have it working on a Windows 2003 server and SQL Server 2005. Now the client wants to install it on Windows 2008 and SQL Server 2008 and we are getting errors like: Microsoft.Data.SqlXml.SqlXmlException: Class not registered --- System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80040154): Class not registered at Microsoft.Data.SqlXml.Common.UnsafeNativeMethods. ISQLXMLCommandManagedInterface.ExecuteToOutputStream() at Microsoft.Data.SqlXml.SqlXmlCommand.innerExecute(Stream strm) ... etc etc This is driving me crazy. SQLXML is quite an obsolete technology, and we are trying to use it with the latest SO. I can't find official information about SQLXML and Windows 2008, it seems it's not officially supported but they don't say it's not supported either. The SQLXML4.0SP1 installation seems to work fine, but it seems like it fails on runtime. Do you have any ideas? Has someone tried anything like this?

  Hi, Next week i am supposed to develop an asp.net application which will connect to SAP, retrieve some data, change them and send back to SAP. We decided to use web services to achieve this and now i just want to know what diffuculties may i face with? I have URL of WSDL of the Web Service, will it be enough for me to adding web reference and giving the WSDL's URL? How will i authenticate? And Will it be the same with consuming normal web services? Also i wonder is there anybody that can share a .NET dll that can be used in visual studio 2008? There are some articles relating how to create such a dll using SAP .Net Connector and visual studio 2003 but i could not find anybody sharing the resulting dll under their post. Thanks...

  Hi all, I'm using the function preg_replace but I cannot figure out how to make it work, the function just doesn't seem to work for me. What I'm trying to do is to convert a string into a link if any word contains the % (percentage) character. For instance if I have the string "go to %mysite", I'd like to convert the mysite word into a link. I tried the following... $data = "go to %mysite"; $result = preg_replace('/(^|[\s.\,\:\;]+)%([A-Za-z0-9]{1,64})/e', '\1%\2', $data); ...but it doesn't work. • Testing VSTO Applications?

  I'm developing an Word 2007 VSTO application in VS2008. The part of the application that interacts with VSTO is difficult to test. VSTO objects behave differently than most class libraries. Their state and behaviors depend on how the user is interacting with Word, where they clicked, what's around the insertion point, etc. Mock objects could work in some scenarios, but they don't capture many of the subtleties of the VSTO objects. Anyone have any experience with testing VSTO based application they can share?

• Windows Web Server 2008 R2 Server Core local password complexity

  How can I disable the local user account password complexity settings on Windows 2008 R2 "Server Core"? I am trying to migrate our windows 2003 web server to windows 2008 R2. I am trying to see if I can use the "Server Core" install, and it has been a very internet search intensive experience. What I can't find out how to do is to find out how to disable password complexity for local user accounts. While our user account generator currently creates nice strong passwords, there was a time when this was not the case and unfortunately forcing the users to change their password is not an option at this time. • Strange error occurring when using wcf to run query against sql server

  Hi all, I am building an asp.net application, using II6 on windows server 2003 (vps hosting). I am confronted with an error I didn't receive on my development machine (windows 7, iis 7.5, 64 bit). When my wcf service tries launching my query running against a local sql server this is the error I receive: Memory gates checking failed because the free memory (43732992 bytes) is less than 5% of total memory. As a result, the service will not be available for incoming requests. To resolve this, either reduce the load on the machine or adjust the value of minFreeMemoryPercentageToActivateService on the serviceHostingEnvironment config element. and ideas??

• Downloading file from server (asp.net) to IE8 Content-Disposition problem with file name

  I am downloading a file from the server/database via aspx page. When using the content-disposition inline the document opens in correct application but the file name is the same as the web page. I want the document to open in say MS Word but with the correct file name. Here is the code that I am using Response.Buffer = true; Response.ClearContent(); Response.ClearHeaders(); Response.Clear(); Response.ContentType = MimeType(fileName); //function to return the correct MIME TYPE Response.AddHeader("Content-Disposition", @"inline;filename=" + fileName); Response.AddHeader("Content-Length", image.Length.ToString()); Response.BinaryWrite(image); Response.Flush(); Response.Close(); So again, I want the file to open in MS Word with the correct document file name so that the user can properly save/view. • OTP or S/KEY - Conversion of Hex string into 6 readable words

  As seen in RFC2289 (S/KEY), there is a list of words that must be used when converting the hexadecimal string into a readable format. How would i go about doing so? The RFC mentions: The one-time password is therefore converted to, and accepted as, a sequence of six short (1 to 4 letter) English words. Each word is chosen from a dictionary of 2048 words; at 11 bits per word, all one-time passwords may be encoded.   Hi there, is there any idea for getting the text under the mouse cursor? I'm trying to build a dictionary app, that pops up a panel of translates when mouse hangs over a word. I took a look at the accessiblity apis, and it only can find the current ui element, but not the current word... my last choice will be makeing screenshots frequently, and doing ocr... that'll be cpu consuming, I don't like that.. any idea for this? thanks in advance!

Everything's shiny. But, I hit the back button two times so I'm back in the settings of the List Content Type. This time when I click Advance settings, the URL of the existing document template is still MeetingMinutes.docx, but there is no (Edit Template) link. Troubling. Pressing on, I go back to AllItems.aspx and click New Meeting Minutes. As Word is loading, I see a little Opening dialog which says, Opening: http://myserver/sites/testsite/Shared%20Documents/Forms/Document/MeetingMinutes.docx, to which Word responds: "Word was unable to read this document. It may be corrupt." So the Document Template works correctly in the Site Content Type (where it does me no good), but is not working in the List Content Type (where I really need it). Now, I know I could put this in _layouts, but from what I've read, _cts is the way to do it. What am I doing wrong?
