• DotNetOpenAuth RelayParty not working on load balanced cluster

  We're trying to move an ASP.NET MVC application, which uses DotNetOpenAuth OpenID Version 3.4.1, from a single server web garden to a physical server cluster held behind a hardware load balancer. We even tried removing out nonce store and using a stateless connection, but that didn't work either. We always get the same error. We suspected the issue is arising as a result of the cluster node having a different IP from the load balancer when it connects to the OpenID Provider, but we're not sure. Any ideas?

• Pause code execution until UIAlertView button is pressed?

  One of my methods sends a message to an object (what do you know about that), and expects a BOOL for an answer. However, BOOL answer it is expecting is based on the answer to a UIAlertView created in the receiving object's method. However, the code doesn't pause while waiting for the user to answer the UIAlertView. My problem is: how do I use -alertView:clickedButtonAtIndex in the method's return value? However, in this case I don't see any way of solving the problem by putting code in -alertView:clickedButtonAtIndex because I don't need to run code based on the UIAlertView, I just need to read the response. Any suggestions on how I can reach my gaol? I've tried a while loop after [alert show] already, but then the alert doesn't even show then, and for a number of reasons I can't use -viewWillDisapear.

• ASP.NET MVC 2.0 Validation and ErrorMessages

  I need to set the ErrorMessage property of the DataAnnotation's validation attribute in MVC 2.0. For example I should be able to pass an ID instead of the actual error message for the Model property, for example... [StringLength(2, ErrorMessage = "EmailContentID")] [DataType(DataType.EmailAddress)] public string Email { get; set; } Then use this ID ("EmailContentID") to retrieve some content(error message) from a another service e.g database. Then the error error message is displayed to the user instead of the ID. In order to do this I need to set the DataAnnotation validation attribute’s ErrorMessage property. It seems like a stright forward task by just overriding the DataAnnotationsModelValidatorProvider‘s protected override IEnumerable GetValidators(ModelMetadata metadata, ControllerContext context, IEnumerable attributes) However it is complicated now.... A. MVC DatannotationsModelValidator’s ErrorMessage property is readonly. So I cannot set anything here B. System.ComponentModel.DataAnnotationErrorMessage property(get and set) which is already set in MVC DatannotationsModelValidator so I cannot set it again. • WCF Manual SOAP POST using HttpWebRequest over https with Usertoken

  Hi, I'm writing a client that calls a number of WCF webservices (written externallyt to my company) that are very similar in structure. The design I was hoping to use is to manually build the SOAP message from XML chunks that are stored in a database and then processed through a generic web service handler class. I have access to the WSDL's for each webservice and example working XML. The design approach is such that we can easily add to the message dynamically, hence the reason for not using the auto generated proxy classes I am basically at the last part now with the entire SOAP message constructed but am getting a SOAP fault security error returned. I have used fiddler to compare the message I'm sending with one that is sent using the normal (far simpler...) WCF generated proxy classes and can't see any difference apart from the id attribute of the Usertoken element in the SOAP header. This is where my lack of experience in this area isn't helping. I think this is because the id is generated automatically (presumably because we're using https). My question is how do I generate this programatically? I have searched for hours online but the majority of solutions are either using the proxy classes or not over https. I have briefly looked at WCE but aware this is replaced by WCF now so don't want to waste time looking into this if it's not the solution. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I can post some code examples when I'm back in work if it will help but the method I'm using is very straightforward and only using XElements and such like at the moment (as we're using linq to sql). thanks, Andy

  Hi, I am using Silverlight 3 to develop an application. In my app, I have a layout Grid (named "LayoutGrid") in which I have a DataGrid (named "PART_datagrid") with DataGridTemplateColumns. The LayoutGrid is set a DataContext in which there is a Ladders list as a property. This Ladders list is set as the ItemsSource for the PART_datagrid. <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot"> <DataGrid x:Name="PART_datagrid" ItemsSource="{Binding Ladders}"> ... <DataGridTemplateColumn> <DataGridTemplateColumn.CellTemplate> <DataTemplate> <Button Name="DeleteLadder" Click.Command="{Binding ElementName=LayoutRoot, Path=DataContext.DeleteLadderCommand}" /> Now in one of the DataGridTemplateColumns I have a button which should invoke a Command thats present in the LayoutGrid's DataContext. So I tried Element-To-Element binding on my DataTemplate button as follows <Button Name="DeleteLadder" Click.Command="{Binding ElementName=LayoutRoot, Path=DataContext.DeleteLadderCommand}" /> But this does not seem to work. • WCF Datacontract, some fields do not deserialize

  Problem: I have a WCF service setup to be an endpoint for a call from an external system. The call is sending plain xml. I am testing the system by sending calls into the service from Fiddler using the RequestBuilder. The issue is that all of my fields are being deserialized with the exception of two fields. price_retail and price_wholesale. What am I missing? All of the other fields deserialize without an issue - the service responds. It is just these fields.   I am using below code to connect to SMTP server where authentication is required for connection. While executing script I am getting an error message saying "Error sending mail: Connection error from mail.utiba.com on port 465 ()".   Another one I can't find an answer for, and it feels like I've gone mad. I have a BASH script using a for loop to run a complex command (many protein sequence alignments) on a lot of files (~5000). The loop produces statements that will execute when given alone (i.e. copy-pasted from the error message to the command prompt), but which return "no such file or directory" inside the loop.   I need to write a simple C# .NET application to retrieve, update, and insert some data in a Sharepoint list. I am NOT a Sharepoint developer, and I don't have control over our Sharepoint server. I would prefer not to have to develop this in a proper sharepoint development environment simply because I don't want to have to deploy my application on the Sharepoint server -- I'd rather just access data externally. Anyway, I found out that you can access Sharepoint data using OLE DB, and I tried it successfully using some ADO.NET: var db = DatabaseFactory.CreateDatabase(); DataSet ds = new DataSet(); using (var command = db.GetSqlStringCommand("SELECT * FROM List")) { db.LoadDataSet(command, ds, "List"); } The above works. However, when I try to insert: using (var command = db.GetSqlStringCommand("INSERT INTO List ([HeaderName], [Description], [Number]) VALUES ('Blah', 'Blah', 100)")) { db.ExecuteNonQuery(command); } I get this error: Cannot update 'HeaderName'; field not updateable. I did some Googling and apparently you cannot insert data through OLE DB! Does anyone know if there are some possible workarounds? I could try using Sharepoint Web Services, but I tried that initially and was having a heck of a time authenticating. Is that my only option?

  Hey, I have experience with MSBuild and Hudson, but am new to MSDeploy. I currently have a simple solution with one web application project. I set up a build configuration and am using the "Publish" command (Visual Studio 2010) to simply copy files to a local folder and do config file replacement. What I would like to do is automate this using Hudson. So I figure I'll create an MSBuild script that will Perform the build (by calling out to the project file with my desired build configuration) Call MSDeploy to do all the same things that the "Publish" command is doing, except copy the files to a different folder. Configure Hudson to poll subversion and perform steps 1 & 2 when changes are detected Step 2 is where I'm getting lost. I assumed that the project.xml file that was created by VS2010 corresponded to -verb:sync -source:manifest=project.xml options, but msdeploy is choking on that xml file so clearly that's not what it's intended for. What command is Visual Studio executing under the covers to perform the config file replacement and the file copy? How do I automate the Publish command?

To play video from FMS 3.5, first I have to verify my swf file on FMS 3.5 server console so that it can be ensure that RTMP video URL only be play in verified SWF file. Right now I am facing problem of "NetConnection.Connect.Close" when I try to connect my NetConnection Object to FMS 3.5 to stream video from that server. So now I am getting this message "NetConnection.Connect.Close" from FMS 3.5. When this is happening in my office area at the same time when I am checking the the same video url from out side the office (With help of my friends who is in another office) area it is working fine. My friends naver faced even a single issue with NetConnection.Connect.Close. But in my office when I got message NetConnection.Connect.Close, I can play another streaming video very well like mtv.com jaman.com rajshri.com etc. Some time FMS works fine and video starts playing but in the middle of the video same thing happen "NetConnection.Connect.Close" There is no issue of Bandwidth in my office.   I've got a PHP script in the works that is a job worker; its main task is to check a database table for new jobs, and if there are any, to act on them. But jobs will be coming in in bursts, with long gaps in between, so I devised a sleep cycle like: while(true) { if ($jobs = get_new_jobs()) { // Act upon the jobs } else { // No new jobs now sleep(30); } } Good, but in some cases that means there might be a 30 second lag before a new job is acted upon. I found the pcntl_signal_dispatch command, but that's only for PHP 5.3 and higher. If I were using that version, I could stick a call to that command before the if ($_isAwake) call, but as it currently stands I'm on 5.2.13. On what sort of situations is the signals queue interpreted in PHP versions without the means to explicitly call the queue parsing? Could I put in some other useless command in that sleep loop that would trigger a signal queue parse within there?

• Seperation of notification confirmation+storage and handling notification asp.net mvc

  After a payment from my web application to a 3rd party the 3rd party sends, next to the direct confirmation message, a notification message. This notification message is stored in my database for future use and I have to send a notification confirmed back. For this purpose I currently use a: return Content("received") Which is standard protocol for the service. Currently, I process the incoming notification by first storing it, than handling it (updating account credits etc in my application) and in the end sending a response. This all works well. But I want to seperate handling the notification and storing+responding to the webservice. The problem is that the "return Content()" is ending my controller method and therefore I cannot simply first send the confirmation message back to the webservice and than call my handle_Notification() method. So the solution would be to replace the return Content() part with something equal which doesn't involve a "return", is this possible, as I do not now the complete URL calling I cannot easily create a simple HTTP POST web request (I tried, might have made an error but did not work). Another solution would be to have some kind of timer or listener which either periodically checks for new notifications in the Database which have to be handled or a listener listening to DB new notifications or something. What is the standard procedure on this, if any?

• Python equivalent of IDL's stop and .reset

  Hi there, I'm relatively new to python but have a bit of experience using IDL. I was wondering if anyone knows if there are equivalent commands in python for IDL's stop and .reset commands. If I'm running some IDL script I wrote that I put a stop command in, essentially what it does is stop the script there and give me access to the command line in the middle of the script. So I have access to all the functions and variables that I defined before the stop command, which I find really useful for debugging. The .reset command I find extremely useful too. What it does is reset the the IDL environment (clears all variables, functions, etc.). It's as if I closed that session and opened a new one, but without having to exit and restart IDL. I find that if I'm trying to debug a script I wrote it's useful sometimes to start from scratch and not have to reset IDL (or python now). It would be useful also in python to be able to un-import any modules I had previously imported. Any help with these issues would be greatly appreciated.   Hello, this is my first post on stackoverflow...i hope someone can help me i have a big performance regression with Java 6 LinkedBlockingQueue. In the first thread i generate some objects which i push in to the queue In the second thread i pull these objects out. The performance regression occurs when the take() method of the LinkedBlockingQueue is called frequently. I monitored the whole program and the take() method claimed the most time overall.
