  • Gaining access to jndi environment variables within a Tomcat LifecycleListener

    - by rmarimon
I'm using a LifecycleListener in tomcat to initialize some objects required by contexts in my web server. Within LifecycleListener I would like to have access to GlobalNamingResources Environment variables to keep the configuration for the server inside the server.xml file. When trying various approaches I get the following error: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Name java:comp is not bound in this Context I'm assuming that the jndi is not initialized by this stage of the server startup process. Any ideas on how to tackle this?

  • Android hidden title bar comes back

    - by kasplurpo
When my app starts, the title bar is hidden. However, if I leave the app and then return (minimize or phone goes to sleep), there is a blank bar inserted at the top. Is this an intentional feature? How can I prevent it? It seems that the bar goes away after I press the menu key. This is the relevant line in the manifest file: android:theme="@android:style/Theme.Black.NoTitleBar.Fullscreen" Thanks

  • Web development - relative URLs without duplicating files

    - by eshriek
I have a site with index.php in the root folder, images in /img , and overview.php in /content . I have a sidebar.php file that is included in both index.php and overview.php . How should I refer to /img/image.gif if I include a link in each file? The location of image.gif changes relative to the location of the file that references it. Using /img/image.gif in sidebar.php will work in index.php, but it fails for the file located at /content/overview.php. The only solution that I can see is to either include a seperate sidebar.php in each subdirectory, or include an /img directory in every sub-directory. The best suggestion that I can find is to use the <base html tag as suggested here: Change relative link paths for included content in PHP However, in the same link, SamGoody suggests that the <base tag "is no longer properly supported in Internet Explorer, since version 7." I'd like some insight on the matter before committing to a course of action. Thanks. EDIT: I am using the wrong approach below with "../" Example- root/index.php: ... <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="style.css" /> <title>title</title> </head> <body> <?php include('include/header.php'); ?> <?php include('include/menu.php'); ?> ... root/include/header.php: ... <div id="header"> <span class="fl"><img src="img/dun1.png"/></span><span class="fr"><img src="img/dun2.png"/></span> ... root/content/overview.php: ... <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../style.css" media="screen" /> <title>Overview</title> </head> <body> <?php include('../include/header.php'); ?> <?php include('../include/menu.php'); ?> ...

  • How to configure Jetty to reload a WebAppContext when classes are changed

    - by Guss
I'm developing a web application and I run Jetty as the development and testing environment when I develop under Eclipse. When I make changes to Java classes, Eclipse automatically compiles them to the build directory, but Jetty won't see the changes until I stop and start the server. I know that Jetty supports "hot deployment" using ContextDeployer that will refresh updated application contexts, but it relies on a context file in a context directory being updated - which is not very useful in my case. Is there a way to set up Jetty so that it will reload the web app when any of the classes it uses is updated? My current jetty.xml looks something like this: <?xml version="1.0"?> <!DOCTYPE Configure PUBLIC "-//Jetty//Configure//EN" "http://www.eclipse.org/jetty/configure.dtd"> <Configure id="Server" class="org.eclipse.jetty.server.Server"> <Set name="ThreadPool"><!-- bla bla --></Set> <Call name="addConnector"><!-- bla bla --></Call> <Set name="handler"> <New id="Handlers" class="org.eclipse.jetty.server.handler.HandlerCollection"> <Set name="handlers"> <Array type="org.eclipse.jetty.server.Handler"> <Item> <New id="webapp" class="org.eclipse.jetty.webapp.WebAppContext"> <Set name="displayName">My Web App</Set> <Set name="resourceBase">src/main/webapp</Set> <Set name="descriptor">src/main/webapp/WEB-INF/web.xml</Set> <Set name="contextPath">/mywebapp</Set> </New> </Item> <Item> <New id="DefaultHandler" class="org.eclipse.jetty.server.handler.DefaultHandler"/> </Item> </Array> </Set> </New> </Set> </Configure>

  • Where should I put zoomIn in my MapActivity?

    - by Johny
I'm writing an Android app, and I'd like to zoomIn as soon as the map has been loaded. I get the following error: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: width and height must be > 0 This MapActivity - width and height must be > 0 question suggests the problem is the zoomIn() method is in the onCreate() method. But I get same error when I put it in the onResume() method. I've been searching for hours and I can't find anything about it at http://developer.android.com or anywhere else... Also I can't find a way to get the time point the map has been loaded. A "MapLoadedListener" or something like that... EDIT Here is my code: public class AMap extends MapActivity{ private final String LOG_TAG = this.getClass().getSimpleName(); private Context mContext; private Chronometer timer; private TextView tvCountdown; • using dictionaries with WebServices

Is there a way to cast it back to a Dictionary? greets

  • Using s/// in an expression

    - by mikeY
I got a headache looking for this: How do you use s/// in an expression as opposed to an assignment. To clarify what I mean, I'm looking for a perl equivalent of python's re.sub(...) when used in the following context: newstring = re.sub('ab', 'cd', oldstring) The only way I know how to do this in perl so far is: $oldstring =~ s/ab/cd/; $newstring = $oldstring; Note the extra assignment.
