  • Linux scp command issue

    Hello everyone, I am using scp command to copy file from a MacBook Pro OS X 10.5 to another Linux box (Red Hat Linux Enterprise 5). I am using the following command on Mac, sudo scp ~/.ssh/mykey.rsa [email protected], there is no output from Mac command line. I am not sure whether the scp is success or not. Where is the location the file mykey.rsa on remote computer 10.10.100.101? thanks in advance, George

    I'm having difficulty getting XQuery to work. I downloaded Saxon-HE 9.2. It seems to only want to work with XSLT. When I type: java -jar saxon9he.jar I get back usage information for XSLT.   • Problems with makeObjectsPerformSelector inside and outside a class?

    A friend and I are creating a card game for the iPhone, and in these early days of the project, I'm developing a Deck class and a Card class to keep up with the cards. I'm wanting to test the shuffle method of the Deck class, but I am not able to show the values of the cards in the Deck class instance. The Deck class has a NSArray of Card objects that have a method called displayCard that shows the value and suit using console output(printf or NSLog). In order to show what cards are in a Deck instance all at once, I am using this, [deck makeObjectsPerformSelector:@selector(displayCard)], where deck is the NSArray in the Deck class. Inside of the Deck class, nothing is displayed on the console output. But in a test file, it works just fine. Here's the test file that creates its own NSArray: #import <Foundation/Foundation.h> #import "card.h" int main (int argc, char** argv) { NSAutoreleasePool* pool = [[NSAutoreleasePool alloc] init]; Card* two = [[Card alloc] initValue:2 withSuit:'d']; Card* three = [[Card alloc] initValue:3 withSuit:'h']; Card* four = [[Card alloc] initValue:4 withSuit:'c']; NSArray* deck = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:two,three,four,nil]; //Ok, what if we release the objects in the array before they're used? //I don't think this will work... Replacing the ,  with \r\n is easy enough, as is the first replacement: Replace (^|\r\n)(\S+\s)([^,\r\n]*),\s With $1$2$3\r\n$2 But capturing the other names and applying the same prefix is what is eluding me today. Any suggestions?

  • Parsing a string using a delimiter to a TStringList, seems to also parse on spaces (Delphi)

    I have a simple string which is delimited by some character, let's say a comma. I should be able to create a TStringList and set it's delimiter to a comma then set the DelimitedText to the text I want to parse and it should be automaticlly parsed. The problem is when I look at the output it also includes spaces as delimiters and chops up my results. How can I avoid this, or is there a better way to do this.

  • PHP: Can pcntl_alarm() and socket_select() peacefully exist in the same thread?

    I have a PHP CLI script mostly written that functions as a chat server for chat clients to connect to (don't ask me why I'm doing it in PHP, thats another story haha). My script utilizes the socket_select() function to hang execution until something happens on a socket, at which point it wakes up, processes the event, and waits until the next event. Now, there are some routine tasks that I need performed every 30 seconds or so (check of tempbanned users should be unbanned, save user databases, other assorted things). From what I can tell, PHP doesn't have very great multi-threading support at all. My first thought was to compare a timestamp every time the socket generates an event and gets the program flowing again, but this is very inconsistent since the server could very well sit idle for hours and not have any of my cleanup routines executed. I came across the PHP pcntl extensions, and it lets me use assign a time interval for SIGALRM to get sent and a function get executed every time it's sent. This seems like the ideal solution to my problem, however pcntl_alarm() and socket_select() clash with each other pretty bad. Every time SIGALRM is triggered, all sorts of crazy things happen to my socket control code. My program is fairly lengthy so I can't post it all here, but it shouldn't matter since I don't believe I'm doing anything wrong code-wise. My question is: Is there any way for a SIGALRM to be handled in the same thread as a waiting socket_select()? If so, how? If not, what are my alternatives here? Here's some output from my program. My alarm function simply outputs "Tick!" whenever it's called to make it easy to tell when stuff is happening.     I'm using a custom pixel font on the iPad SDK, and I'm trying to find a way to disable font anti-aliasing for UIFont. Pixel fonts usually work best when they don't have Anti-aliasing. I disable it easily in Photoshop when I create static resources, but this time I need a dynamic output with the custom font. Any ideas? Thanks.

From some research i did my problem is unique to my case so i decided to create a new question. Please go read that question before continuing with this one as they are closely related. Running the proposed code blocks the program at the waitFor invocation. After some research i found that the waitFor method blocks if your process has output that needs to be proccessed so you should first empty the output stream and the error stream. I did those things but my method still blocks. I then found a suggestion to simply loop while waiting the exitValue method to return the exit value of the process and handle the exception thrown if it is not, pausing for a brief moment as well so as not to consume all the CPU.
