  • Friendly way to parse XDocument

    I have a class that various different XML schemes are created from. I create the various dynamic XDocuments via one (Very long) statement using conditional operators for optional elements and attributes. I now need to convert the XDocuments back to the class but as they are coming from different schemes many elements and sub elements may be optional. The only way I know of doing this is to use a lot of if statements. This approach doesn't seem very LINQ and uses a great deal more code than when I create the XDocument so I wondered if there is a better way to do this? We are calling GC.SuppressFinalize() immediately after Dispose(),Does it mean ,"Don't collect the object again for dispose,because it is already submitted to displose". Actually which generation is responsible for destruction ,i guess generation 2.

  • How to find and fix issue with Pound and HAProxy

    Pound sits in front of HAProxy (on the same box) to perform SSL off-load. Requests are passed to 127.0.0.1:80 where HAProxy then balances the requests across backend servers for a hosted ASP .NET web app. A user is getting HTTP error 500 (Internal Server Error) returned to their browser this morning and I can see it is comming from Pound. They see no log entry in their web app (IIS) server logs, so its not hitting the back end servers. I think the problem is possibly with HAProxy. For example: Cookies - %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies History - %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\History Cache - %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files However, for some reason, Internet Explorer occasionally stops using the normal locations and instead creates new folders under %TEMP% and/or %TEMP%\Low for this data. For example: Cookies - %TEMP%\Cookies %TEMP%\Low\Cookies History - %TEMP%\History %TEMP%\Low\History Cache - %TEMP%\Temporary Internet Files %TEMP%\Low\Temporary Internet Files Why does Internet Explorer do this, and how can make it use the normal locations again?

    Hi, I am using Ubuntu 8.04 LTS and seeing the following behaviors: The system hangs after a while and becomes completely unresponsive. The system sometimes restarts itself !     I installed Ruby on WinXP. Used rubyinstaller-1.8.6-p383-rc1.exe. Ran gem install rake Get error: Error installing rake: invalid gem format for C:/Ruby/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/cache/rake-0.8.7.gem I've tried deleting the cache folder but i keep getting the same error. Tried with Ruby 1.9.1 too. Same error. What am i doing wrong?

  • How do I monitor IIS7 output caching?

    I have dynamic content that I've configured output caching upon. Based on my tests it doesn't seem like IIS is seeing the content as cache-worthy. How can I monitor what IIS is doing? It appears as though PerfMon has some counters I'm interested in, but I'm not sure which ones to look at. If my content is not querystring or form parameter based, but URI based will my content not be deemed cache-worthy?
