    Hey guys quick question, I thought I was doing the right thing but I keep getting the wrong result. I am trying to simply find the id of the entry with the min time, but I am not getting that entry. $qryuserscount1="SELECT id,min(entry_time) FROM scrusersonline WHERE topic_id='$topic_id'"; $userscount1=mysql_query($qryuserscount1); while ($row2 = mysql_fetch_assoc($userscount1)) { echo $onlineuser= $row2['id']; } That is my query, and it does not work. This however does work which does not make sense to me SELECT id FROM scrusersonline WHERE topic_id='$topic_id' ORDER by entry_time LIMIT 1, can anyone quickly point out what I am doing wrong?

    I am trying to select the most common 100 names from a table then display the list showing the names and count. I want the user to be able to re-sort the list alphabetically rather than based on count. I thought the following code would do it. It works for the default sort by count but fails on the sort alphabetically. The line "$count = mysql_num_rows($table);" gives an error: mysql_num_rows() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given. Each of these users can have a building. The world building needs to be the example option, which then displays the building.. essentially I need a slick way to add the word in for the expanding level (instead of the value in the collection).

    I'm trying to query an element and its children to find ID's that begin with a particular string. var foundIDs = containerElement.find('[id^=something]').andSelf().filter('id^=something'); The find() method only searches descendants so I thought I'd try andSelf(). However, andSelf() does not take a selector. This means that the container element is included regardless of whether it matches the find query or not and I then have to perform a secondary filter() on it to remove the container element if it didn't match after all. I attempted to put andSelf() before the find() but it didn't seem to pick up the container element into the stack. containerElement.andSelf().find('[id^=something]'); Is there any better way to achieve what I'm doing?

Since it basically has to do the same thing, is there a way to call the first one from the second one to reduce code duplication, or do you have to set up a third method to do the common tasks? Thinking that my answer would soon be found, I happily click on the link only to find zero replies. All hope was lost. I am posting the question here, hoping that someone on this site will know the answer. Can somebody please explain the usage of "Clear Text Credential Access Enabled" checkbox under "-Security-Advanced tab for Weblogic 11g? What is the difference if we set or unset this flag? If I dont set this flag I get an exception like "Access to sensitive attribute in clear text is not allowed due to the setting of ClearTextCredentialAccessEnabled attribute in SecurityConfigurationMBean" when I try to set a value for the "Credential" field. But what should be the value for "Credential" field if I dont set the "Clear Text Credential Access Enabled"flag?

  • Unnecessary Redundancy with Tables.

    My items are listed as follows; This is just a summary of course. But I'm using a method shown for the "Detail" table to represent a type of 'inheritence', so to speak - since "Item" and "Downloadable" are going to be identical except that each will have a few additional fields relevant only to them. My question is in this design pattern. This sort of thing appears many, many times in our projects - is there a more intelligent way to handle it? I basically need to normalize the tables as much as possible. I'm extremely new to databases and so this is all very confusing to me. There are 5 items. Awards, Items, Purchases, Tokens, and Downloads. They are all very, very similar, except each has a few pieces of data relevant only to itself. I've tried to use a declaration field (like an enumerator 'Type' field) in conjunction with nullable columns, but I was told that is a bad approach. What I have done is take everything similar and place it in a single table, and then each type has its own table that references a column in the 'base' table. The problem occurs with relationships, or junctions. Linking all of these back to a customer. Each type takes around 2 additional tables to properly junction all of the data together- and as such, my database is growing very, very large. Is there a smarter practice for this kind of behavior?     So a user selects from a drop down list a value. I take this value, put it into a variable, then select from the database the ID value of that table A holding the selected value also. So now I'm trying to use that ID value to get to a many-to-many relationship table that has the selected value from table A to a different table B. The many-to-many relationship table has both IDs. How can I compare this using PHP? So it would be like: $A = $_POST['a']; $sql = "SELECT a, aID from TABLEA WHERE a = $A"; What do I do then to compare the aID with the many-to-many relationships table, then get the other ID in that table and then take that ID to get values from table B?

I thought I could do some self-joins to deal with this, but I am worried in the cases where the non-key fields have the same data in multiple rows.

    I'm sure I'm simply overlooking something in the Facebook API docs. Basically, after I've loaded the FB Graph, I need to know if the session is active... I cannot simply assume they're logged out and simply re-render if they're logged in once the 'auth.statusChange' event is triggered. I need to know right off the bat. Below is the code that I've used. Most importantly the FB.getLoginStatus/getAuthResponse/getAccessToken don't work like I'd expect; essentially where it indicates, when invoked, whether they're logged in or out.     I have been looking for a while now but I can not find an easy solution for my problem. I would like to duplicate a record in a table, but of course, the unique primary key needs to be updated. I have this query: INSERT INTO invoices SELECT * FROM invoices AS iv WHERE iv.ID=XXXXX ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE ID = (SELECT MAX(ID)+1 FROM invoices) the problem is that this just changes the ID of the row instead of copying the row. Does anybody know how to fix this ? Thank you verrry much, Digits //edit: I would like to do this without typing all the field names because the field names can change over time.

If I change the method from :children to "[]children" I get id="parents_1___children_chore" which gets the right parent_index but doesn't provide an array slot for the child index. "[]children[]" isn't right either: id="parents_1__children_3_chore" as I was expecting attributes_0_chore instead of 3_chore. Do I need to directly modify an attribute of the FormBuilder object, or subclass FormBuilder to make this work, or is there a syntax that fits this situation? Thanks for any thoughts.

    I have written List<int> Uids = new List<int>(); Uids = (from returnResultSet in ds.ToList() from portfolioReturn in returnResultSet.Portfolios from baseRecord in portfolioReturn.ChildData select new int { id = baseRecord.Id }).ToList<int>(); Getting error: 'int' does not contain a definition for 'id' what is the problem that i created?
