• Help to convert PostgreSQL dates into SQL Server dates

  Hello I'm doing some data conversion from PostgreSQL to Microsoft SQL Server. So far it has all went well and I almost have the entire database dump script running. There is only one thing that is now messed up: dates. The dates are dumped to a string format. These are two example formats I've seen so far: '2008-01-14 12:00:00' and the more precise '2010-04-09 12:23:45.26525' I would like a regex (or set of regexs) that I could run so that will replace these with SQL Server compatible dates. Anyone know how I can do that?

• Sqlite3 Database versus populating Arrays

  hi, I am working on a program that requires me to input values for 12 objects, each with 4 arrays, each with 100 values. (4800) values. The 4 arrays represent possible outcomes based on 2 boolean values... i.e. YY, YN, NN, NY and the 100 values to the array are what I want to extract based on another inputted variable. I previously have all possible outcomes in a csv file, and have imported these into sqlite where I can query then for the value using sql. However, It has been suggested to me that sqlite database is not the way to go, and instead I should populate using arrays hardcoded. Which would be better during run time and for memory management?

  Are pointers on a 64-bit system still 4 byte aligned (similar to a double on a 32 bit system)? Or are they note 8 byte aligned? For example, on a 64-bit system how big is the following data structure: struct a { void* ptr; char myChar; } Would the pointer by 8 byte aligned, causing 7 bytes of padding for the character (total = 8 + 8 = 16)? Or would the pointer be 4 byte aligned (4 bytes + 4 bytes) causing 3 bytes of padding (total = 4 + 4 + 4 = 12)? Thanks, Ryan

  I wanted to display a long list of strings from an array. Right now, my script run through a for loop echoing each value to the standard output: for value in ${values[@]} do echo $value done Yeah, that's pretty ugly! And the one column listing is pretty long too... I was wondering if i can find a command or builtin helping me to display all those values in columns, like the ls command does by default when listing a directory (ls -C).   I have some code that prints a string, but if the string is say: "Blah blah blah"... and there are no line breaks, the text occupies a single line.   Hello all this is my first post. I'm working on a homework assignment with the following parameters. Piecework Workers are paid by the piece. Often worker who produce a greater quantity of output are paid at a higher rate. 1 - 199 pieces completed $0.50 each 200 - 399 $0.55 each (for all pieces) 400 - 599 $0.60 each 600 or more $0.65 each Input: For each worker, input the name and number of pieces completed. Name Pieces Johnny Begood 265 Sally Great 650 Sam Klutz 177 Pete Precise 400 Fannie Fantastic 399 Morrie Mellow 200 Output: Print an appropriate title and column headings. There should be one detail line for each worker, which shows the name, number of pieces, and the amount earned. Compute and print totals of the number of pieces and the dollar amount earned. Processing: For each person, compute the pay earned by multiplying the number of pieces by the appropriate price. Accumulate the total number of pieces and the total dollar amount paid. • Getting a value from a row at particular time

  I had a row in my database: starttime:4/6/2012 2:00pm, Endtime:31/12/9999, name:"swetha", status:"open"..... When I update this row I changed the starttime to the current time (getdate()) and have no issues. I am running a Windows Service each day at 1am to modify a value in the row. I would like to know the status of my row at 4/6/2012 11:59 pm when my service runs. There is no need to do an update at 4/6/2012 11:59 pm and the last update may be at any time of the day however my requirement is to get the status value at 4/6/2012 11:59 pm. I would like to have the query in SQL Server 2008. Can anyone please help me to find a solution?

• How to automatically email customers registration keys?

  I've written a bit of software that I'd like to share with others (a Mac Dashboard widget, specifically), but I'd also like to be compensated a bit for the time I spent on it. I've devised my own simple registration key algorithm, which takes a customer's email address and creates a 12-character alphanumeric key. The software itself is finished, demo limitations, key validation & all. I just need to get the keys to customers. How do I simply alert a key generation script to automatically email a customer a key, upon notification that they paid my account? Can I use PayPal IPN & JavaScript? The simplest solution will do - this is a five dollar widget. :)

  Hi. I'm using Dreamweaver to update copyright dates across my site. I want to preserve the existing spacing (or lack thereof) between years. Examples: © 2002-2008 should update to © 2002-2009 © 2003 - 2008 should update to © 2003 - 2009 This is the regular expression I'm using to accomplish this in Dreamweaver's find & replace function Find: ©\s*(\d{4}\s*-\s*)\d{3}[^9] Replace: © $1 2009 Here's the PROBLEM: This expression works, but has that that extra space between the hyphen and 2009. If I write the replace expression without the space, as © $12009 then dreamweaver looks for the 12,009th substitution in the find expression, and, not finding one, prints $12009. Any ideas?

By Reverse Breath First Search, I mean instead of searching a tree starting from a common node, I want to search the tree from the bottom and gradually converged to a common node. Let's see the below figure, this is the output of a Breath First Search: In my reverse breath first search, 9,10,11 and 12 will be the first few nodes found ( the order of them are not important as they are all first order). 5, 6, 7 and 8 are the second few nodes found, and so on. 1 would be the last node found. • USB 3 port fails to enable my keyboard during boot

  My laptop has both USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports. I've connected: mouse -- USB 2.0 port keyboard -- USB 3.0 port On starting the system, the mouse is active however the keyboard does not function. Everytime i have to disconnect the keyboard and plug it back in and only then it becomes active. Is there any fix to this problem or is the USB port itself faulty? specs: Dell XPS, 64-bit i7 processor with 8G of RAM
