  Hi Everyone As everybody knows the en-US Keyboard-layout is the best one for programming. So I'd like to use it in my IDEs. But since I live in a non-en-US country I need the de-CH layout for all other applications. Now I wonder if it is possible to set the layout depending to which application currently has the focus. • Debug assertion does not prompt in IIS 7

  Hi, since moving to Windows 7 (IIS 7.5), the debug assertions do not prompt a pop up dialog anymore. I have tested this in a separate project, and noticed that they do work when using the integrated Visual Studio Developer server (Cassini) but they do not work when using IIS Web Server. This is a big issue for us since we are counting on debug assertions to identify potential programming errors, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Eyal.

  I have a friend who is trying to make the switch to Linux, but is hung up on the apparent lack of debugging/IDE environments for C++, especially as they relate to template programming. He has been using visual studio for years and is maybe a little spoiled by their awesome IDE. Does anyone have any good suggestions for an environment where he can, under Linux, develop and debug with all of the usual things (Breakpoints, line highlighting for compilation errors, step in/over/out/etc, etc) that he's accustomed to? I have recompiled Vim to use vimgdb, and it works, but the problem is that i need to attach to a process started by a root user so i have to use sudo to do it.... How can i do this with vimgdb?
