  • Simulating Key Press event using Python for Linux

    - by user308827
Hi, I am writing a script to automate running a particular model. When the model fails, it waits for a user input (Enter key). I can detect when the model has failed, but I am not able to use python (on linux) to simulate a key press event. Windows has the SendKeys library to do this but I was wondering if there is a similar library for python on linux. Thanks!

  • Prism Commands - binding error when binding to list element ?

    - by Maciek
I've got a ItemsControl (to be replaced by listbox) which has it's ItemsSource bound to an ObservableCollection<User> which is located in the view model. The View Model contains some DelegateCommand<T> delegates for handling commands (for instance UpdateUserCommand and RemoveUserCommand). All works fine if the buttons linked to those commands are placed outside of the DataTemplate of the control which is presenting the items. <ItemsControl ItemsSource="{Binding Users, Mode=TwoWay}" HorizontalContentAlignment="Stretch"> <ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <Grid> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="0.2*"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="0.2*"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="0.2*"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="0.2*"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="0.2*"/> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <TextBlock Grid.Column="0" Text="{Binding UserName}"/> <PasswordBox Grid.Column="1" Password="{Binding UserPass}"/> <TextBox Grid.Column="2" Text="{Binding UserTypeId}"/> <Button Grid.Column="3" Content="Update" cal:Click.Command="{Binding UpdateUserCommand}" cal:Click.CommandParameter="{Binding}"/> <Button Grid.Column="4" Content="Remove" cal:Click.Command="{Binding RemoveUserCommand}" cal:Click.CommandParameter="{Binding}"/> </Grid> </DataTemplate> </ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> </ItemsControl> What I'm trying to achieve, is : Have each row - generated by the ListView/ItemsControl - contain buttons to manage the item represented that particular row. During the runtime, the VS's output panel generated the following messages for each listbox element System.Windows.Data Error: BindingExpression path error: 'UpdateUserCommand' property not found on 'ModuleAdmin.Services.User' 'ModuleAdmin.Services.User' (HashCode=35912612). BindingExpression: Path='UpdateUserCommand' DataItem='ModuleAdmin.Services.User' (HashCode=35912612); target element is 'System.Windows.Controls.Button' (Name=''); target property is 'Command' (type 'System.Windows.Input.ICommand').. System.Windows.Data Error: BindingExpression path error: 'RemoveUserCommand' property not found on 'ModuleAdmin.Services.User' 'ModuleAdmin.Services.User' (HashCode=35912612). BindingExpression: Path='RemoveUserCommand' DataItem='ModuleAdmin.Services.User' (HashCode=35912612); target element is 'System.Windows.Controls.Button' (Name=''); target property is 'Command' (type 'System.Windows.Input.ICommand').. Which would imply that there are binding errors present. Is there any way to make this right? or is this not the way?

  • flowchart library for business process visualization

    - by jonny
I need to generate flowchart from business process specification (tasks, their input, output points, roles applicable for each task... ) stored in a database. What I need is javacript (preferably, open-sourced) library which can generate a shiny flowchart with swimlines. Ideally I should be able to edit workflow connections and send changes back to database. Any recommendations? UPDATE By flowchart I mean something like this:

  • Should my WCF webservice return a 500 or 200 http code (soap fault / functional return message)

    - by Tim Mahy
Hi all, after reading the SOAP specs, it states that a SOAP Fault should return a http 500 errorcode, so when a SoapException is thrown, WCF returns a 500 error code. Now, I'm looking for some best practices to when return a functional soap error message and when to return a SOAP Fault. What would you guys return when a functional error occurred while processing the message because of the input message contains some functional errors, a 500 SOAP Fault or a 200 Soap response containing some error message ?

  • Using a Windows Form with Ruby

    - by Gil Milow
Is it possible to create a form on Windows using Ruby? I have a Ruby script and I would like to have an input form to ask for a user's password, then use this in the rest of my script. update: I have successfully done this with wxRuby, although it looks ugly. Shoes looks promising, I might look into that if I need to do this again..

  • SHA-1 and Unicode

    - by Andrew
Hi everyone, Is behavior of SHA-1 algorithm defined for Unicode strings? I do realize that SHA-1 itself does not care about the content of the string, however, it seems to me that in order to pass standard tests for SHA-1, the input string should be encoded with UTF-8.

  • Dropdownlist and Datareader

    - by salvationishere
    After trying many solutions listed on the internet I am very confused now. I have a C#/SQL web application for which I am simply trying to bind an ExecuteReader command to a Dropdownlist so the user can select a value. This is a VS2008 project on an XP OS. How it works is after the user selects a table, I use this selection as an input parameter to a method from my Datamatch.aspx.cs file. Then this Datamatch.aspx.cs file calls a method from my ADONET.cs class file. Finally this method executes a SQL procedure to return the list of columns from that table. (These are all tables in Adventureworks DB). I know that this method returns successfully the list of columns if I execute this SP in SSMS. However, I'm not sure how to tell if it works in VS or not. This should be simple. How can I do this? Here is some of my code. The T-sQL stored proc: CREATE PROCEDURE [dbo].[getColumnNames] @TableName VarChar(50) AS BEGIN SET NOCOUNT ON; SELECT col.name 'COLUMN_NAME' FROM sysobjects obj INNER JOIN syscolumns col ON obj.id = col.id WHERE obj.name = @TableName END It gives me desired output when I execute following from SSMS: exec getColumnNames 'AddressType' And the code from Datamatch.aspx.cs file currently is: // Add DropDownList Control to Placeholder private void CreateDropDownLists() { SqlDataReader dr2 = ADONET_methods.DisplayTableColumns(targettable); int NumControls = targettable.Length; DropDownList ddl = new DropDownList(); } Where ADONET_methods.DisplayTableColumns(targettable) is: public static SqlDataReader DisplayTableColumns(string tt) { SqlDataReader dr = null; string TableName = tt; string connString = "Server=(local);Database=AdventureWorks;Integrated Security = SSPI"; string errorMsg; SqlConnection conn2 = new SqlConnection(connString); SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand("getColumnNames"); //conn2.CreateCommand(); try { cmd.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure; cmd.Connection = conn2; SqlParameter parm = new SqlParameter("@TableName", SqlDbType.VarChar); parm.Value = "Person." + TableName.Trim(); parm.Direction = ParameterDirection.Input; cmd.Parameters.Add(parm); conn2.Open(); dr = cmd.ExecuteReader(); } catch (Exception ex) { errorMsg = ex.Message; } return dr; }

  • prevent UIWebView inputs from displaying UIKeyboard without disabling user interaction

    - by Slee
I have a UIWebView that loads and external product configuration web service UI that is basically a bunch of dependent Drop Down lists. The problem is the Drop Downs are basically enhanced text input's so when the user taps them to display the options the UIKeyboard keeps popping up and own after they make their selection. it is less than a fluid process. Is there anyway to suppress the html inputs from triggering the UIKeyboard?

  • Stripping blank spaces and newlines from strings in C

    - by Nazgulled
Hi, I have some input like this: " aaaaa bbb \n cccccc\n ddddd \neeee " And I need to sanitize it like this: "aaaaa bbb cccccc ddddd neeee" Basically: Trim all blank spaces at the beginning and end of the string Strip all new lines Strip all spaces when there is more than one, but always leave ONE space between words Is there any easy way to do this or I'll have to process the string, char by char and copy the appropriate chars to a different variable?

  • Reusing XSL template to be invoked with different relative XPaths

    - by meomaxy
    Here is my contrived example that illustrates what I am attempting to accomplish. I have an input XML file that I wish to flatten for further processing. Input file: <BICYCLES> <BICYCLE> <COLOR>BLUE</COLOR> <WHEELS> <WHEEL> <WHEEL_TYPE>FRONT</WHEEL_TYPE> <FLAT>NO</FLAT> <REFLECTORS> <REFLECTOR> <REFLECTOR_NUM>1</REFLECTOR_NUM> <COLOR>RED</COLOR> <SHAPE>SQUARE</SHAPE> </REFLECTOR> <REFLECTOR> <REFLECTOR_NUM>2</REFLECTOR_NUM> <COLOR>WHITE</COLOR> <SHAPE>ROUND</SHAPE> </REFLECTOR> </REFLECTORS> </WHEEL> <WHEEL> <WHEEL_TYPE>REAR</WHEEL_TYPE> <FLAT>NO</FLAT> </WHEEL> </WHEELS> </BICYCLE> </BICYCLES> The input is a list of <BICYCLE> nodes. Each <BICYCLE> has a <COLOR> and optionally has <WHEELS>. <WHEELS> is a list of <WHEEL> nodes, each of which has a few attributes, and optionally has <REFLECTORS>. <REFLECTORS> is a list of <REFLECTOR> nodes, each of which has a few attributes. The goal is to flatten this XML. This is the XSL I'm using: <xsl:stylesheet version="2.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:fo="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Format" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:fn="http://www.w3.org/2005/xpath-functions"> <xsl:output method="xml" encoding="UTF-8" indent="yes" omit-xml-declaration="yes" xml:space="preserve"/> <xsl:template match="/"> <BICYCLES> <xsl:apply-templates/> </BICYCLES> </xsl:template> <xsl:template match="BICYCLE"> <xsl:choose> <xsl:when test="WHEELS"> <xsl:apply-templates select="WHEELS"/> </xsl:when> <xsl:otherwise> <BICYCLE> <COLOR><xsl:value-of select="COLOR"/></COLOR> <WHEEL_TYPE/> <FLAT/> <REFLECTOR_NUM/> <COLOR/> <SHAPE/> </BICYCLE> </xsl:otherwise> </xsl:choose> </xsl:template> <xsl:template match="WHEELS"> <xsl:apply-templates select="WHEEL"/> </xsl:template> <xsl:template match="WHEEL"> <xsl:choose> <xsl:when test="REFLECTORS"> <xsl:apply-templates select="REFLECTORS"/> </xsl:when> <xsl:otherwise> <BICYCLE> <COLOR><xsl:value-of select="../../COLOR"/></COLOR> <WHEEL_TYPE><xsl:value-of select="WHEEL_TYPE"/></WHEEL_TYPE> <FLAT><xsl:value-of select="FLAT"/></FLAT> <REFLECTOR_NUM/> <COLOR/> <SHAPE/> </BICYCLE> </xsl:otherwise> </xsl:choose> </xsl:template> <xsl:template match="REFLECTORS"> <xsl:apply-templates select="REFLECTOR"/> </xsl:template> <xsl:template match="REFLECTOR"> <BICYCLE> <COLOR><xsl:value-of select="../../../../COLOR"/></COLOR> <WHEEL_TYPE><xsl:value-of select="../../WHEEL_TYPE"/></WHEEL_TYPE> <FLAT><xsl:value-of select="../../FLAT"/></FLAT> <REFLECTOR_NUM><xsl:value-of select="REFLECTOR_NUM"/></REFLECTOR_NUM> <COLOR><xsl:value-of select="COLOR"/></COLOR> <SHAPE><xsl:value-of select="SHAPE"/></SHAPE> </BICYCLE> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> The output is: <BICYCLES xmlns:fn="http://www.w3.org/2005/xpath-functions" xmlns:fo="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Format" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"> <BICYCLE> <COLOR>BLUE</COLOR> <WHEEL_TYPE>FRONT</WHEEL_TYPE> <FLAT>NO</FLAT> <REFLECTOR_NUM>1</REFLECTOR_NUM> <COLOR>RED</COLOR> <SHAPE>SQUARE</SHAPE> </BICYCLE> <BICYCLE> <COLOR>BLUE</COLOR> <WHEEL_TYPE>FRONT</WHEEL_TYPE> <FLAT>NO</FLAT> <REFLECTOR_NUM>2</REFLECTOR_NUM> <COLOR>WHITE</COLOR> <SHAPE>ROUND</SHAPE> </BICYCLE> <BICYCLE> <COLOR>BLUE</COLOR> <WHEEL_TYPE>REAR</WHEEL_TYPE> <FLAT>NO</FLAT> <REFLECTOR_NUM/> <COLOR/> <SHAPE/> </BICYCLE> </BICYCLES> What I don't like about this is that I'm outputting the color attribute in several forms: <COLOR><xsl:value-of select="../../../../COLOR"/></COLOR> <COLOR><xsl:value-of select="../../COLOR"/></COLOR> <COLOR><xsl:value-of select="COLOR"/></COLOR> <COLOR/> It seems like there ought to be a way to make a named template and invoke it from the various places where it is needed and pass some parameter that represents the path back to the <BICYCLE> node to which it refers. Is there a way to clean this up, say with a named template for bicycle fields, for wheel fields and for reflector fields? In the real world example this is based on, there are many more attributes to a "bicycle" than just color, and I want to make this XSL easy to change to include or exclude fields without having to change the XSL in multiple places.

  • Detect CJK characters in PHP

    - by Jasie
Hello, I've got an input box that allows UTF8 characters -- can I detect whether the characters are in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean programmatically (part of some Unicode range, perhaps)? I would change search methods depending on if MySQL's fulltext searching would work (it won't work for CJK characters). Thanks!

  • hyperLink on jsf error messages problem

    - by user234194
I am trying to put link in the error messages produced by JSF. For this I am using the custom renderer, it works(clicking the error, focuses the respective input field) but the problem is , all the form values gets empty. ie when error occurs, all the input fields get empty. Any suggestion will be appreciated. package custom; public class CustomErrorRenderer extends Renderer { @Override @SuppressWarnings("unchecked") public void encodeEnd(FacesContext context, UIComponent component) throws IOException { ResponseWriter writer = context.getResponseWriter(); writer.startElement("div", component); writer.writeAttribute("id", component.getClientId(context), "id"); writer.writeAttribute("style", "color: red", null); writer.startElement("ul", null); Iterator clientIds = context.getClientIdsWithMessages(); while (clientIds.hasNext()) { String clientId = clientIds.next(); Iterator messages = context.getMessages(clientId); if (!messages.hasNext()) { continue; } String javaScript = "var field = document.getElementById('" + clientId + "');" + "if(field == null) return false;" + "field.focus(); return false;"; writer.startElement("li", null); writer.startElement("a", null); writer.writeAttribute("onclick", javaScript, null); writer.writeAttribute("href", "#", null); while (messages.hasNext()) { writer.writeText(messages.next().getSummary(), null); } writer.endElement("a"); writer.endElement("li"); } writer.endElement("ul"); writer.endElement("div"); } } This renderer is defined in faces-config.xml: add to base HTML_BASIC renderkit HTML_BASIC HTML_BASIC CustomErrorRenderer javax.faces.Output custom.CustomErrorRenderer custom.CustomErrorRenderer CustomErrorMessages custom.Errors javax.faces.component.UIOutput a tag class: package custom; import javax.faces.webapp.UIComponentELTag; public class CustomErrorTag extends UIComponentELTag { @Override public String getComponentType() { return "custom.Errors"; } @Override public String getRendererType() { return "custom.CustomErrorRenderer"; } } This is defined in a TLD file: http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-jsptaglibrary_2_1.xsd" version="2.1" 1.0 custom http://custom errors custom.CustomErrorTag empty This goes at the top of the JSP page: <%@ taglib prefix="custom" uri="http://custom"%

Hi, I've read the article http://davidhayden.com/blog/dave/archive/2009/05/19/ASPNETMVCAjaxBeginForm.aspx and now I have small problem with that code: <%using (Ajax.BeginForm("ChangeData", new AjaxOptions { UpdateTargetId = "myLabel" })) { %> <input id="mbutton" type="submit" value="blabla" /> <%} %> <label id="myLabel"></label> then, in the MyBookController.cs is the code to be invoked asynchronous: public ActionResult ChangeData() { return Content("OK"); } but, it doesn't work asynchronously, the compiler doesn't go inside that method

  • Calculating length of objects in binary image - algorithm

    - by Jacek
I need to calculate length of the object in a binary image (maximum distance between the pixels inside the object). As it is a binary image, so we might consider it a 2D array with values 0 (white) and 1 (black). The thing I need is a clever (and preferably simple) algorithm to perform this operation. Keep in mind there are many objects in the image. The image to clarify: Sample input image:

  • how does linear probing handle this?

    - by Weadadada Awda
    • the hash function: h(x) = | 2x + 5 | mod M • a bucket array of capacity N • a set of objects with keys: 12, 44, 13, 88, 23, 94, 11, 39, 20, 16, 5 (to input from left to right) 4.a [5 pts] Write the hash table where M=N=11 and collisions are handled using linear probing. So I got up to here x x x x x 44 88 12 23 13 94 but the next variable should go after the 94 now, (the 11) but does it start from the beggining or what? thx

  • FCKEditor in Rails: add ID attribute

    - by Ignace
I'm using FCKEditor in my Rails app to create HTML forms and it goes very well, except that no ID tag can be filled out. It asks for name and value with the input tags, but not for an ID. Is there a simple way to enable this or to add this manually? Thanks!

  • Examples of Wizard controls

    - by Christophe Herreman
I'm creating a Wizard control (in Flex) and wanted to look at some examples of good Wizard controls in .NET, Java or other languages. I'm especially interested in situations where next/prev steps are determined by the input of the current step. For instance, choosing one of several options in the start screen will lead you to different screens, etc Any suggestions?

  • eclipse mtj - proguard : obfuscate third party jar error

    - by robinmag
i use proguard (support in mtj plugin) to obfuscate a project that has some third party jars but i gives me errors: Your input classes appear to be inconsistent. You may need to recompile them and try again. Alternatively, you may have to specify the options '-dontskipnonpubliclibraryclasses' and/or '-dontskipnonpubliclibraryclassmembers'. It seems that proguard use the classes in JavaSE. It only happens with projects that use third party jars :( Thank you in advanced!

  • SqlCommandBuilder.DeriveParameters(command) and IsNullable

    - by Andrey
I have written an O/R database wrapper that generates some wrapper methods for stored procs it reads from the database. Now I need to produce some custom wrapper code if an input parameter of a stored proc is defaulted to NULL. The problem is - I get stored proc parameters using: SqlCommandBuilder.DeriveParameters(command) and it doesn't bring parameter defaults. Is there any way to look up those defaults? Are they stored anywhere in the database? BTW, I'm using SQL Server 2008
