  • Task Scheduler permissions error for some jobs

    I have recently moved to a 64-bit Windows Server 2008 R2. I setup my Scheduled Tasks to run under one user (TaskUser) specifically created for the scheduler and most run just fine. However some of them do not run under TaskUser but will for my own credentials. Here is the Event Log entry I found, which from my research points me to believe that it doesn't have permissions, but it does. It also has the option "Run with highest privileges" checked on. I have seen this particular checkbox work wonders on some tasks, but I have a number of them that it's not helping for.   • Wubi and Vista 64 bits can't work

    First of all, I have posted this issue at Ubuntu Forum without success yet. Hello, I have downloaded "kubuntu-9.10-desktop-amd64.iso" and I have mounted it on my Windows Vista 64 bits Ultimate. I have downloaded wubi 9.10. The problem is when installing, it crash after few time.     I want to download the Windows 7 professional iso (x32), from microsoft, and , i can do two things. Or buy a new burner , as mine doesn't work (i am trying to decide what dvd writer i could buy) or use a usb dongle to copy the iso to it , and install it via usb. I want to install Windows 7 in a netbook that now has debian,and in my pc. I think i have to buy only the license for the pc , as the netbook came with windows 7 preinstalled, so i suppose that i can use that serial to activate the windows , although i don't know how to install windows 7 starter instead of professional (i think if you remove a file from the iso, windows let you choose the edition to install). The problem is that in both pcs there isn't any windows , only debian. My father has a netbook with windows 7 starter, but i think it hasn't antivirus (at least until have the Karspersky Internet security for 3 pcs bought ), and i don't trust to make the usb there , if i don't now that there isn't any virus or malware. So i am trying to find a way of Create a Windows 7 usb installation , to at least be able to install windows 7 in the netbook without a external dvd writer. I know that with dd in linux you can copy a debian.iso to the usb , and then install debian with it (i've done it) using something like dd if=win7.iso of=/dev/sdb, but i don't know if this would work for windows 7 iso,and if dd will correctly copy the iso to the usb. I suppose that if you are able to boot and install windows 7 from the usb , is that the method works,and you can forget of problems later with the windows 7 installation (problems because some files could not be copied or like). So , i remembered that Microsoft created a tool to copy the iso to the usb using windows. So i thought that i could install in my pc , virtual box , as i have VT and 8 GB ram in it, and download the iso from microsoft ,install windows 7 in the virtual machine , and then copy the iso inside the machine , donwload the iso tool, and atach a usb to the pc, connect it to the guest , and use the tool to copy the iso to the USB. But i don't now if is possible to use a virtual machine to do this , or the virtualization could give problems with the usb, or something. I have found some minutes ago this How to make a windows 7 usb flash install media, from linux? The first method (dd) is the one i like more , and i trust more ( i don't now if the second method using ms-sys , works well , and if i can trust it. I understand that a iso is like a .rar , but no compressed,only containing the files ,so mount the iso and cp the data inside perhaps is ok. Although the method i like more is the microsoft one (more because is from microsoft , and i suppose they now what they do ,at least with this usb related thing, than anything). Perhaps worth more to buy a external dvd writer haha ... Should the virtual machine method work ?

    i have a problem about phpexcel and joomla. I'm developing some filter form to load excel reports, so i used phpexcel library to do this. Right now i have only a report, it works fine, but after that i upload inside joomla using PHP pages component that allows me to put php files inside joomla and call it. When i put them, i change a little bit the form that calls the php that generates the excel report, i call the php using a link like this: h**p://www.whiblix.com/index.php?option=com_php&Itemid=24 That is, calling it from Joomla, not directly the php. If i wanna call the php directly i could use this path: h**p://www.whiblix.com/components/com_php/files/repImportaciones.php What's the problem? The problem is, when i call the php that generates the excel through joomla, the excel that is downloaded is corrupt and only shows symbols in one cell when i open it. But if i call the php directly the report is generated fine. I could call the php directly, the problem is that if i call it directly i can't use this line of code: defined( '_JEXEC' ) or die( 'Restricted access' ); That is used to deny the direct access to php from call it directly, because it doesn' work because the security. Where's the problem?     Dear all Stackoverflowers, I just started to learn programming and now I'm putting this question online based on a quote: no question is silly My work needs to develop a order system based on web, which wants a database system. Since using Excel for years as a general office user, I naturally turn this to Access. However, most people say Access is very limited comparing to MySQL or MSSQL, or any other more professional database system. But after developing some functions for my company's order system, I really find Access can fulfill my request. And I also tried MSSQL to develop, which I found it not quite convenient to use. I have searched in stackoverflow and find no general answer about my doubt. Now I am sincerely hoping some experienced and professional developers could clear my doubts. Now I'm listing some Access advantages, which I don't think other database system have. I hope you could help me also find these advantages in others. 1. Access is portable, I can just copy a xxx.accdb file to my company and continue with development. 2. Shouldn't it generate a compile time error?

    Hi! I'm working on a db but i'm kinda new to this so i've bumped into a problem today. I've got some tables: OFFICE, ROOM, EMPLOYEE and DOCUMENT. Document must specify the sender, which can be a single employee, an entire room or an entire office so it must have a reference to the primary keys of those tables. Should I do a "parallel" table for handle it (for example i've done one for handle the multiple recipients documents) or there is another way? Thank you

  • Hyper-V Virtual Ethernet Adapter not working probperly - Code 31 on Host

    I have a Windows 8.1 machine with Hyper-V installed. From a "clean" Hyper-V configuration I open Virtual Switch Manager, create an External switch with "Allow management operating system to share this network adapter", click OK. Everything seems to work properly but the host loses network connectivity. Opening Device Manager, the "Hyper-V Virtual Ethernet Adapter" is shown under the Network Adapter section with a yellow triangle, and the following message: This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) An object ID was not found in the file. I tried "Uninstalling" the device, seems to work, but the device doesn't actually remove. I tried removing and re-adding the Hyper-V feature completely, no difference. Tried scf /scannow, no problems. System and Application logs show no errors. The Hyper-V-VMMS Networking log shows the following: Log Name: Microsoft-Windows-Hyper-V-VMMS-Networking Source: Microsoft-Windows-Hyper-V-VMMS Date: 10/24/2013 10:53:07 AM Event ID: 26088 Description: Failed to apply static IP settings to internal Ethernet adapter {A813DE9A-BE70-4FAE-AD31-BE4D54505A4B} ('885435B8-BE65-4EE9-826D-AB56035237ED'): Unspecified error (0x80004005). If I try to remove the Virtual Switch in Hyper-V Virtual Switch Manager I get this in that same log: Log Name: Microsoft-Windows-Hyper-V-VMMS-Networking Source: Microsoft-Windows-Hyper-V-VMMS Date: 10/24/2013 11:19:47 AM Event ID: 26142 Description: Failed while removing virtual Ethernet switch. Trying to remove the Virtual Switch leads to an error: Error applying Virtual Switch Properties changes Failed while removing virtual Ethernet switch. VM Networking does work.

    I am having a highly annoying problem on Windows 7 with Microsoft Outlook 2007. Whenever I click on any hyperlinks I am present with the message This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator and let's not forget the most ear-piecing "DING" to accompany this wonderful informative message. Now I have searched the web high and low for a solution here and most sources suggest the same solution of resetting your IE as your default browser. Tried .. failed A lot of sources suggest this has something to do with installing and uninstalling chrome. I have never installed Chrome but am actually consdering this to see if it by some chance fixes my computer. A lot of sources also point to a microsoft kb article 325478 which is focused around Windows XP and totally unrelated to my problem. I see there are some other queries on SuperUser with no resolution. Please can someone help solve this highly annoying issue. I am running Window 7 professional x64 Microsoft Office 2007 Microsoft Security Essentials Running in a windows work group with default policy settings HELP!

  • Could not continue scan with NOLOCK due to data movement during installation

    I am running Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition R2 x64 and I installed SQL Server 2008 Developer Edition. All of the preliminary checks run fine (Apart from a warning about Windows Firewall and opening ports which is unrelated to this and shouldn't be an issue - I can open those ports). Half way through the actual installation, I get a popup with this error: Could not continue scan with NOLOCK due to data movement. The installation still runs to completion when I press ok. However, at the end, it states that the following services "failed": database engine services sql server replication full-text search reporting services How do I know if this actually means that anything from my installation (which is on a clean Windows Server setup - nothing else on there, no previous SQL Servers, no upgrades, etc) is missing? I know from my programming experience that locks are for concurrency control and the Microsoft help on this issue points to changing my query's lock/transactions in a certain way to fix the issue. But I am not touching any queries? Also, now that I have installed the app, when I login, I keep getting this message: TITLE: Connect to Server ------------------------------ Cannot connect to MSSQLSERVER. ------------------------------ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections.     I have created a custom Library under Windows 7 64bit professional to handle my source code. When I tried Windows Backup and Restore for the first time I get the following error Backup encountered a problem while backing up file C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\Source. Error:(The system cannot find the file specified. (0x80070002)) I've found a thread on the error on the Microsoft answers site. But it appears to be 404 (there is a version in Google's Cache) and the thread starter never gets an answer to his issue that works. The official Microsoft answer on this is This problem is due to one or more profiles under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList with missing ProfileImagePath. To check whether you have missing profiles: Open regedit, navigate to the above registry key. (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList). Expand the list Click on each of the profiles listed. The first 3 profiles should have ProfileImagePath value of %SystemRoot%\System32\Config\SystemProfile, %SystemRoot%\ServiceProfiles\LocalService, and %SystemRoot%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService respectively. Starting from the 4th profile, the ProfileImagePath should contain path to the user profiles on your machine, such as C:\users\Christine If one or more of the profile has no profile image, then you have missing profiles. To work around this, delete the profile in question (Caution: The registry contains critical settings that are necessary for your system to function properly. Take extra caution while making changes) First, export the ProfileList key for safekeeping. (Right click on the key, choose “Export”, and save it to the desktop.) Right click on the profile in question, choose delete. Try backup again. This does not work for me. Anyone have any idea what is going on here?
