  • Form data sent to Node via Post is undefined

    - by user185812
    I know this has been asked countless times on here, however I tried all the solutions and am still having the issue. Most people say to set the content-type (which I did) and to name the inputs that I wish to Post to node. I have done both of these things, yet still get "undefined" when trying to send data from an HTML form to node. JADE Templating HTML Code (Sorry I can't seem to get the indenting to show up here, however I think I should leave the code intact when posting here instead of converting it to normal HTML so that if the error is in here, you are still able to help) Form(action="/registration", method="post", enctype="application/x-www-form-urlencoded") div(class="control-group-Username") label(class="control-group", for="username") Username: div.controls input#Username(id="Username", type="text", placeholder="Username Here", maxlength="23", name="username") //Other divs and stuff here button.btn#submit_button(type="submit") Submit app.js code /** * Module dependencies. */ express = require('express') , routes = require('./routes') , user = require('./routes/user') , http = require('http') , path = require('path'); app = express(); // all environments app.set('port', process.env.PORT || 3000); app.set('views', __dirname + '/views'); app.set('view engine','jade'); app.use(express.favicon()); app.use(express.logger('dev')); app.use(express.bodyParser()); app.use(express.methodOverride()); app.use(express.cookieParser('your secret here')); app.use(express.session()); app.use(app.router); app.use(require('less-middleware')({ src: __dirname + '/public' })); app.use(express.static(path.join(__dirname, 'public'))); // development only if ('development' == app.get('env')) { app.use(express.errorHandler()); } app.use(express.static(__dirname + '/public')); app.get('/', routes.index); app.get('/users', user.list); app.get('/register', routes.register); http.createServer(app).listen(app.get('port'), function(){ console.log('Express server listening on port ' + app.get('port')); }); require('./Register.js'); register.js code app.post('/registration', function(req, res) { var Email=req.body.username console.log(username); });

  • Rtti accessing fields and properties in complex data structures

    - by Coco
    As already discussed in Rtti data manipulation and consistency in Delphi 2010 a consistency between the original data and rtti values can be reached by accessing members by using a pair of TRttiField and an instance pointer. This would be very easy in case of a simple class with only basic member types (like e.g. integers or strings). But what if we have structured field types? Here is an example: TIntArray = array [0..1] of Integer; TPointArray = array [0..1] of Point; TExampleClass = class private FPoint : TPoint; FAnotherClass : TAnotherClass; FIntArray : TIntArray; FPointArray : TPointArray; public property Point : TPoint read FPoint write FPoint; //.... and so on end; For an easy access of Members I want to buil a tree of member-nodes, which provides an interface for getting and setting values, getting attributes, serializing/deserializing values and so on. TMemberNode = class private FMember : TRttiMember; FParent : TMemberNode; FInstance : Pointer; public property Value : TValue read GetValue write SetValue; //uses FInstance end; So the most important thing is getting/setting the values, which is done - as stated before - by using the GetValue and SetValue functions of TRttiField. So what is the Instance for FPoint members? Let's say Parent is the Node for TExample class, where the instance is known and the member is a field, then Instance would be: FInstance := Pointer (Integer (Parent.Instance) + TRttiField (FMember).Offset); But what if I want to know the Instance for a record property? There is no offset in this case. So is there a better solution to get a pointer to the data? For the FAnotherClass member, the Instance would be: FInstance := Parent.Value.AsObject; So far the solution works, and data manipulation can be done by using rtti or the original types, without losing information. But things get harder, when working with arrays. Especially the second array of Points. How can I get the instance for the members of points in this case?

What should I do with my python script ? Thank you very much

  • Using JSON Data to Populate a Google Map with Database Objects

    - by MikeH
    I'm revising this question after reading the resources mentioned in the original answers and working through implementing it. I'm using the google maps api to integrate a map into my Rails site. I have a markets model with the following columns: ID, name, address, lat, lng. On my markets/index view, I want to populate a map with all the markets in my markets table. I'm trying to output @markets as json data, and that's where I'm running into problems. I have the basic map displaying, but right now it's just a blank map. I'm following the tutorials very closely, but I can't get the markers to generate dynamically from the json. Any help is much appreciated! Here's my setup: Markets Controller: def index @markets = Market.filter_city(params[:filter]) respond_to do |format| format.html # index.html.erb format.json { render :json => @market} format.xml { render :xml => @market } end end Markets/index view: <head> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.google.com/jsapi?key=GOOGLE KEY REDACTED, BUT IT'S THERE" > </script> <script type="text/javascript"> var markets = <%= @markets.to_json %>; </script> <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"> google.load("maps", "2.x"); google.load("jquery", "1.3.2"); </script> </head> <body> <div id="map" style="width:400px; height:300px;"></div> </body> Public/javascripts/application.js: function initialize() { if (GBrowserIsCompatible() && typeof markets != 'undefined') { var map = new GMap2(document.getElementById("map")); map.setCenter(new GLatLng(40.7371, -73.9903), 13); map.addControl(new GLargeMapControl()); function createMarker(latlng, market) { var marker = new GMarker(latlng); var html="<strong>"+market.name+"</strong><br />"+market.address; GEvent.addListener(marker,"click", function() { map.openInfoWindowHtml(latlng, html); }); return marker; } var bounds = new GLatLngBounds; for (var i = 0; i < markets.length; i++) { var latlng=new GLatLng(markets[i].lat,markets[i].lng) bounds.extend(latlng); map.addOverlay(createMarker(latlng, markets[i])); } } } window.onload=initialize; window.onunload=GUnload;

  • Pass data to a HttpModule

    - by Dejan
    I have a funny little situation on my hands. I have a httpModule on my hands that I have to feed with context relative data. That means that on the page I have to set something that the HttpModule can then react on. If possible I would like to avoid having call context data in the session. Any bright ideas out there. thx for the answer.

  • Alternatives to fread and fwrite for use with structured data

    - by forest58
    The book Beginning Linux Programming (3rd ed) says "Note that fread and fwrite are not recommended for use with structured data. Part of the problem is that files written with fwrite are potentially nonportable between different machines." What does that mean exactly? What calls should I use if I want to write a portable structured data reader or writer? Direct system calls?

  • arbitrary typed data in django model

    - by Dmitry Shevchenko
    I have a model, say, Item. I want to store arbitrary amount of attributes on it, like title, description, release_date. And i want them to be not just strings but have python type, so string, boolean, datetime etc. What are my options here? EAV pattern with separate name-value table won't work because of the same DB type across all values. JSONField can probably help, but it doesn't know about datetime, for example. Also i was looking at PickeField, it fits perfectly, but i'm a bit concerned about performance.

  • MySQL to fill in missing dates when using GROUP BY DATE(table.timestamp) without joining on temporar

    - by twmulloy
    Hello, after reading through a couple similar Qs/As I haven't quite found the solution I'm looking for. The table data I have is GROUP BY DATE(timestamp) and returning a count, example result: [timestamp] = 2010-05-12 20:18:36 [count] = 10 [timestamp] = 2010-05-14 10:10:10 [count] = 8 Without using a temporary table, or calendar table is there a way to fill in those missing dates? so that with the same table data would return (adding the bold row): [timestamp] = 2010-05-12 20:18:36 [count] = 10 [timestamp] = 2010-05-13 00:00:00 [count] = 0 [timestamp] = 2010-05-14 10:10:10 [count] = 8 Thanks!

  • Simple Python Challenge: Fastest Bitwise XOR on Data Buffers

    - by user213060
    Challenge: Perform a bitwise XOR on two equal sized buffers. The buffers will be required to be the python str type since this is traditionally the type for data buffers in python. Return the resultant value as a str. Do this as fast as possible. The inputs are two 1 megabyte (2**20 byte) strings. The challenge is to substantially beat my inefficient algorithm using python or existing third party python modules (relaxed rules: or create your own module.) Marginal increases are useless. from os import urandom from numpy import frombuffer,bitwise_xor,byte def slow_xor(aa,bb): a=frombuffer(aa,dtype=byte) b=frombuffer(bb,dtype=byte) c=bitwise_xor(a,b) r=c.tostring() return r aa=urandom(2**20) bb=urandom(2**20) def test_it(): for x in xrange(1000): slow_xor(aa,bb)

  • FileReference.load() not populating FileReference.data.

    - by cookiecaper
    I am trying to use the load method of FileReference object to load the data and use it to display a thumbnail of the selected image. However, after calling fr.load(), fr.data remains null. I'm using Flex Builder 3.0.2 on Windows 7 with Flex SDK 3.4 and Flash Player 10 Debug. If I evaluate fr.load() in Eclipse's watch variables list, I get an error reading "No such variable: load." Anyone know why this is happening?

  • MultipleHiddenInput doesn't encode properly over POST?

    - by andrew
    The form looks very simple: class MyForm(forms.Form): ids = forms.MultipleChoiceField(widget=forms.MultipleHiddenInput()) def view(request): ... form = MyForm(initial={'ids': [o.id for o in queryset]}) Which gives me the HTML (which looks good enough): <form method="post" action="/foo/bar/"> <input type="hidden" name="ids" value="7720889" id="id_ids_0"> <input type="hidden" name="ids" value="7717962" id="id_ids_1"> <input type="hidden" name="ids" value="7717807" id="id_ids_2"> <input type="hidden" name="ids" value="7713584" id="id_ids_3"> <input type="hidden" name="ids" value="7712277" id="id_ids_4"> <input type="hidden" name="ids" value="7707475" id="id_ids_5"> <input type="hidden" name="ids" value="7707257" id="id_ids_6"> <input type="hidden" name="ids" value="7705271" id="id_ids_7"> <input type="hidden" name="ids" value="7704338" id="id_ids_8"> <input type="hidden" name="ids" value="7704137" id="id_ids_9"> <input type="hidden" name="ids" value="7695444" id="id_ids_10"> <input type="hidden" name="ids" value="7695242" id="id_ids_11"> <input type="hidden" name="ids" value="7690683" id="id_ids_12"> <input type="hidden" name="ids" value="7690431" id="id_ids_13"> <input type="hidden" name="ids" value="7689035" id="id_ids_14"> <input type="hidden" name="ids" value="7681230" id="id_ids_15"> <input type="hidden" name="ids" value="7679189" id="id_ids_16"> <input type="hidden" name="ids" value="7675315" id="id_ids_17"> <input type="hidden" name="ids" value="7667291" id="id_ids_18"> <input type="hidden" name="ids" value="7661162" id="id_ids_19"> <button type="submit">Test</button> </form> But, in the POST that comes in, I'm only getting one value: <QueryDict: {u'ids': [u'7661162']}> What gives?
