• Python web devlopment framework for python 3.1 user

  I have been learning python for some time now. While starting this "learning python" endeavor I decided to learn the latest and greatest 3.1 version of python. I regret this decision now because I wanted to try my hands on some of the python web development frameworks & it looks like many of them does not support 3.1 yet & it looks like it might take them years to support the new version of Python especially Django and TurboGears. This is really disappointing. Therefore, SO users, do you have any recommendation for a web framework for me that runs on 3.1 and supports some of the modern (I guess I will never learn ;-)) web framework features like MVC/ORM/URL Routing/Caching etc. Many thanks for your response.

I have no troubles with adding records, until I run sync procedure in separete thread, and It will update data on serwer, and send them back to iphone.   I am looking into solutions for providing multiple login methods to my site. I found rpxnow.com and they map user accounts from all the different networks. My question is how do they know that I am user1 on twitter and bigdude2 on facebook? I'm hoping it goes beyond email lookups. The end result I want is a unique user in my database no matter what account they sign in with, dupes are a no-no, but most likely inevitable I am guessing.

exist for the emailaddress dont update data else create a user and update its profilexml from data fecthed from gedcom. for this i think i need some soln by which i can do only one roundtrip to database and can update all user's xml. or i can execute one sp to get userid from all users where i'll check if user exist then return userid else insert basic data and return inserted userid then for every user make xml from data and update it. please provide be suggestion what is best practice to do this kind of development. if need any more details please write me

  Hello All, I am very new to ASP.NET MVC and currently, I am involved in developing a new application in ASP.NET MVC 2. I am having problem in managing a long querystring parameters that comes from dBase. For example, in any non-mvc app the following URL works well: http ://example.com/test.aspx?first_name=fname&last_name=lname&email_id=email&address1=add1&address2=add2&city=city&state=state&zip_code=zip and so on. The QueryString parameter can be determined on the fly (i.e. at run-time). Now for dynamic QueryString how routing will be done? Also for a simple URL, the URL will be as follows (in ASP.NET MVC): http ://example.com/test/id/category But for above mentioned dynamic & long QueryString how the URL will look like? I'm starting simple and just trying to extract the name (\gpx\name).   I am attempting to understand the world of WIF in context of a WCF Data Service / REST / OData server. I have a hacked up version of SelfSTS that is running inside a unit test project. When the unit tests start, it kicks off a WCF service, which generates my SAML token. I note that later in my code, when I need to check my identity, Thread.CurrentPrincipal.Identity is an instance of Microsoft.IdentityModel.Claims.ClaimsIdentity, which has a claim for all the attributes, plus a nameidentifier claim with the value in my NameIdentifier element in saml:Subject. It also has a property NameClaimType, which points to "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/05/identity/claims/name". It would make more sense if NameClaimType mapped to nameidentifier, wouldn't it? How do I make that happen? Or am I expecting the wrong thing of the name claim? Thanks!

  I have a class that I am using to model my data in MVC. I have added some DataAnotations to mark fields that are required and I am using regular expressions to check valid Email Addresses. Everything works fine if the object is posted back to MVC and I have the ModelState property that I can check to confirm that the class is valid but how do I check to see if the class is valid outside of MVC using the same class and Data Anotations that I have already set up?

  So I was writing a web app with web.py that uses plenty of client-side javascript, and my database is on couchdb so the queries are in javascript too, and eventually I just got to thinking, why not skip the python and go all javascript? Besides, some functions need to run once on the client and again on the server to make sure you're not spoofing, so why translate between javascript and python? So I'm looking for a simple lightweight javascript web framework. All I really need is the url routing, request and response stuff (standard wsgi?), and a way to hook into a big http server like nginx. What do you guys recommend?

I have set environment variable in my code (i.e. my email address) and trying to reference this environment variable to send email. However log4net doesn't seem to read this value when the application is run. • Rewriting An URL With Regular Expression Substitution in Routes

  In my Pylons app, some content is located at URLs that look like http://mysite/data/31415. Users can go to that URL directly, or search for "31415" via the search page. My constraints, however, mean that http://mysite/data/000031415 should go to the same page as the above, as should searches for "0000000000031415." Can I strip leading zeroes from that string in Routes itself, or do I need to do that substitution in the controller file? If it's possible to do it in routing.py, I'd rather do it there - but I can't quite figure it out from the documentation that I'm reading.

Columns for tables: users: uid, displayname, email gamehistories: gid, pubID, start (datetime), end (datetime) gamescores: gid, uid, score I am trying to produce the following result set given a userID (uid): Opponent's displayname, my score, opponent's score, duration Any ideas? Is my design ok? How can I query these tables to get game histories for a given uid?

  I have a rails model called 'audioclip'. I orginally created a scaffold with a 'new' action, which I replaced with 'new_record' and 'new_upload', becasue there are two ways to attach audio to this model. Going to /audioclips/new_record doesn't work because it takes 'new_record' as if it was an id. Instead of changing this, I was trying to just create '/record_clip' and '/upload_clip' paths. So in my routes.db I have: map.record_clip '/record_clip', :controller => 'audioclips', :action => 'new_record' map.upload_clip '/upload_clip', :controller => 'audioclips', :action => 'new_upload' When I navigate to /record_clip, I get ActionController::MethodNotAllowed Only get, head, post, put, and delete requests are allowed. I'm not extremely familiar with the inner-workings of routing yet. What is the problem here? (If it helps, I have these two statements above map.resources = :audioclips

However, joomla seems to insist on having two empty columns "Mobile phone" and "Fax" that I can't seem to get rid of. • MVC in a Google App Engine Java world

  I'm coming to Java from C# & ASP.NET MVC, I'd love to find an equivalent in the Java world that I could use on the Google App Engine. I've already started to have a play with FreeMarker and even made the first steps towards writing a very simple framework. Ideally I wouldn't have to do all the hard work though, someone must have done this already! So my question is - what frameworks are there out there that would be familiar for me coming from ASP.NET MVC and I could use them on Google App Engine for Java. The key things I'd want are: Simple Routing - /products/view/1 gets mapped to the view action of the products controller with the productid of 1 Template Engine - some way of easily passing 'ViewData' to the view, and from the view easily accessing it, ideally I'd love to avoid anything that is too XMLy (thus why I like FreeMarker).

I want to have a progress hud displayed before the synchronous request and then dismissed after the request has finished. The behaviour displayed to the user is that the app hangs, waits for the synchronous request to finish, quickly flashes the HUB and then becomes responsive again. How can I fix this issue? I want the SVProgressHUB to be displayed during this hang time, how can I do this?
