    I have a populated gridview that consist of template fields. I would like to find/check a certain number of cells using values of rows and columns. Eg: |Time|col1|col2|col3|col4|col5| |1200|------|-----|-----|------|-----| |1300|------| -X- |-----|------|-----| |1400|------|-----|-----|------|-----| lets say i have the value "1300" for the row and the column header text "col2", I would like to find the cell marked "X" and check for some condition and change the text if necessary (col1 - col5 are template fields made up of labels and buttons, so therefore base on certain conditions i would like to show/hide the labels/buttons or change the text for the labels) Thanks

    Hi, I am getting the user preferred language from the below code: NSUserDefaults* defs = [NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults]; NSArray* languages = [defs objectForKey:@"AppleLanguages"]; NSString *language = [languages objectAtIndex:0]; This will return something like 'en' for 'English', or 'de' for 'Deutsch'.   • How to store UISegmentedControle state in NSUserdefaults

    The problem is when de selectedSegmentIndex is unselected: "UISegmentedControlNoSegment" alias "-1". The other states (0, 1, 2 , etc.), I can store as Integers and retrieve with carTypeSegmentedControl.selectedSegmentIndex = [defaults integerForKey:@"typeOfCar"]; But -1 is no NSInteger. I also tried to remove the Integer out of the NSUserdefaults but a request would return an "0", which is not acceptable. So, is there another easy way? tnx for reading

  • Why build Javascript functions as JQuery plugins?

    I've seen alot of JQuery implementations of existent JavaScript functions that merely wrap the JavaScript code in a JQuery wrapper and don't actually rely on any of JQuery's base for their operation. What are the benefits of using Javascript as a JQuery plugin? If there are none is there a speed loss to use a JQuery plugin that could have easily been implemented outside the wrapper just as well? Many thanks in advance (just trying to learn something here).

  • Recursion with an Array; can't get the right value to return

    Recursive Solution: Not working! Explanation: An integer, time, is passed into the function. It's then used to provide an end to the FOR statement (counter<time). The IF section (time == 0) provides a base case where the recursion should terminate, returning 0. The ELSE section is where the recursive call occurs: total is a private variable defined in the header file, elsewhere. It's initialized to 0 in a constructor, elsewhere. The function calls itself, recursively, adding productsAndSales[time-1][0] to total, again, and again, until the base call. Then the total is returned, and printed out later. Well, that's what I hoped for anyway. What I imagined would happen is that I would add up all the values in this one column of the array and the value would get returned, and printed out. Instead if returns 0. If I set the IF section to "return 1", I noticed that it returns powers of 2, for whatever value time is. EG: Time = 3, it returns 2*2 + 1. If time = 5, it returns 2*2*2*2 + 1. I don't understand why it's not returning the value I'm expecting. int CompanySales::calcTotals( int time ) { cout << setw( 4 ); if ( time == 0 ) { return 0; } else { return total += calcTotals( productsAndSales[ time-1 ][ 0 ]); } } Iterative Solution: Working! The FOR statement cycles through an array, adding all of the values in one column together. The value is then returned (and elsewhere in the program, printed out).     In the database I'm working with, every table repeats the same nine columns and I don't want to have to supply the same properties in each of my entities to map these columns. I've tried adding properties to a common base class and adding them to the sub class's mapping file, but this doesn't work. I've read the documentation around inheritance mapping but this did not help. What is the best way to map columns that repeat accross multiple tables in NHibernate?

    Hi Everyone, In my rails application I have two models called Kases and Notes. They work in the same way comments do with blog posts, I.e. each Kase entry can have multiple notes attached to it. I have got everything working, but for some reason I cannot get the destroy link to work for the Notes. I think I am overlooking something that is different with associated models to standard models.   • Which MarkDown (WMD) javascript editor should I use?

    Background I'm working on an application which requires user-entered content, and I've decided to use a StackOverflow-style MarkDown editor. After researching this topic for the last few days, I realize there are numerous forks of the base WMD editor, some with a few basic enhancements and some with serious differences from the StackOverflow one. Since this will be the heart of the application, I'd like to start with the best code base I can. I'd be happy if anyone can recommend which one of the many solutions out there best fits my needs. Below is requirements, plus what I've managed to find already. I'm hoping this question will help me decide which version to go with, and maybe help me discover a port out there that's an even better fit for my needs. The requirements for my project Live Preview Multiple editors on the same page (not know how many in advance, since the user can dynamically add another editing box). Ability to extend with extra buttons (I'd like a button to upload a picture, instead of just adding an img url). Ability to dynamically show/hide the edit box (and only see the preview box). Not an absolute must, but I'd prefer to stick as close to StackOverflow's look and feel, since it's well known. Don't know if this matters, but the backend is written in Django. Editors I've looked at Here are a few of the code bases I've looked at, with thoughts. Obviously, I might be missing another solution out there. The derobins version. From what I can tell, this is the official StackOverflow version. Seems like it doesn't support multiple editors on one page. JQuery.MarkEdit. Looks very good, but is pretty different from the StackOverflow version. MooWMD. Looks like the winner right now, but I'm a little concerned since it looks less active/hackable than MarkEdit. The wmd-new version. Not sure, looks like an old codebase without much use. The SocialSite branch. Seems like it's not for public use.

    I've been playing around with "bottom-up" JAX-WS and have come across something odd when running wsgen. If I have a service class that does something like: @WebService public class Foo { public ArrayList<Bar> getBarList(String baz) { ... } } then running wsgen gets me a FooService_schema1.xsd that has something like this: <xs:complexType name="getBarListResponse"> <xs:sequence> <xs:element name="return" type="tns:bar" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded"/> </xs:sequence> </xs:complexType> which seems reasonable. However, if I want a collection of collections like: public BarCollection getBarCollection(String baz) { ... } // BarCollection is just a container for an ArrayList<Bar> then the generated schema ends up with stuff like: <xs:complexType name="barCollection"> <xs:sequence/> </xs:complexType> <xs:complexType name="getBookCollectionsResponse"> <xs:sequence> <xs:element name="return" type="tns:barCollection" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded"/> </xs:sequence> </xs:complexType> An empty sequence is not what I had in mind at all. My original approach was to go with: public ArrayList<ArrayList<Bar>> getBarLists(String baz) { ... } but that ends up with a big chain of complexTypes that just wind up with an empty sequence at the end as well: <xs:complexType name="getBarListsResponse"> <xs:sequence> <xs:element name="return" type="tns:arrayList" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded"/> </xs:sequence> </xs:complexType> <xs:complexType name="arrayList"> <xs:complexContent> <xs:extension base="tns:abstractList"> <xs:sequence/> </xs:extension> </xs:complexContent> </xs:complexType> <xs:complexType name="abstractList" abstract="true"> <xs:complexContent> <xs:extension base="tns:abstractCollection"> <xs:sequence/> </xs:extension> </xs:complexContent> </xs:complexType> <xs:complexType name="abstractCollection" abstract="true"> <xs:sequence/> </xs:complexType> Am I missing something or is this a known hole in wsgen?
