  • UIViewController not oreintating. Methods not called

    Greetings, This question does seem to be an ongoing saga in the world of iphone SDK... so heres my contribution... Had two separate projects from the same template... one semi-works, the other not at all... Please let me explain my steps... used this basic GL ES template //iphonedevelopment.blogspot.com/2008/12/opengl-project-template-for-xcode.html had to sort out some of the 'Release' configuration but otherwises has eveything I need to add orientation to a GL ES project. One my first project, did my stuff, then added these methods.... -(BOOL)shouldAutoRotateToInterfaceOrientation ..... -(void)willRotateToInterfaceOrientation .... -(void)didRotateFromInterfaceOrientation .... -(void)willAnimateRotationToInterfaceOrientation .... And understand what they do (or are trying to do in my case), the (BOOL)should... gets called once when the view controller is created, and returns 'YES'. But after that none of the other methods are called! So I started from scratch with a blank template (GL ES one from above)...and added minimum to support auto rotation. But this time none of the methods get called! So I investigated .... //developer.apple.com/iphone/library/qa/qa2010/qa1688.html as it said, I added the GLViewController.view first, then added the GLview as subviews of the application delegate. Nothing! Then found this //www.iphonedevsdk.com/forum/iphone-sdk-development/44993-how-determine-ipad-launch-orientation.html which states to enable orientation notifications [[UIDevice currentDevice] beginGeneratingDeviceOrientationNotifications]; and then subsequently disable them in the view controller... makes sense...did it, nothing... I think the notifications might be on by default though, since I didn't need to enable them in the first project, yet it still try to verify a orientation (i.e (BOOL)shouldAutoRotate... )... If any one could help me out it would be greatly appreciated as this issue is driving me insane. Thanks in advance. P.S iPad device not out where I am so I cannot test on a device yet. Would be nice for it to work on the simulator.

    I have a situation where I need to, when in Radgrid Edit Mode and user makes a selection on a contained dropdownlist, display a modalPopup containing a Checkboxlist populated with data that relates to dropdownlist selection. When Selections are made on the checkboxlist, and OK button clicked, I want to return to the RadGrid Edit template, and populate a textbox in the template with the checkbox selected information. Anyone have a clear idea of how I ought to handle this. An example will be greatly appreciated please.

When reselecting, Visual Studio will automatically add references to System.Deployment, System.Drawing and System.Windows.Forms C# Create a new project with the Empty Project template (Visual C# - Windows) Go to the project properties, and change the Application type to any of the choices. Visual studio will not add references. Question Is there a way to change this behaviour for Visual Basic?

    I'm trying to setup a User - UserProfile relationship, display the form and save the data. When submitted, the data is saved, except the password field doesn't get hashed. Additionally, how can I remove the help_text from the username and password (inherited from the User model)? Full code is below, excuse me if it's too long.     so I have this problem in running my Spring WS app which implements JPA ( or should implement..) I have a problem with running a WS, it looks like my Spring context can't find file persistence.xml Which i am able to believe because i did not have generated META-INF folder in my template (which is Maven project template with archetype org.springframework.ws) I have created META-INF manually. I made a maven multi module project with the following modules: /api /domain /repositories /webapp I like to share the domain and the repositories between the api and the webapp (both web projects).   • Why does headless PDE Build omit directories I've specified in build.properties's bin.includes?

    One of my Eclipse plug-ins (OSGi bundles) is supposed to contain a directory (Database Elements) of .sql files. My build.properties shows: bin.includes = META-INF/,\ .,\ Database Elements/ (...which looks right to me.) When I build and run from within my interactive Eclipse IDE, everything works fine: calls to Bundle.getEntry(String) and Bundle.findEntries(String, String, bool) return valid URL objects; my tests are happy; my code is happy. When I build via headless ant script (using PDE Build), those same calls end up returning null. My tests break; my code breaks. I find that Database Elements is quietly but simply missing from my plug-in's JAR package. (META-INF and the built classes still make it in there fine.) I scoured the build log (even eventually invoking ant -verbose on the relevant portion of the build script) but saw no mention of anything helpful. What gives?

    I'm programming an app in which one of the ViewControllers is showing an UIScrollView that shows an image. I'd like to load an image (pushpin in png format) and draw it (and delete it) in some points of the UIScrollView image. I'd also would like to draw bezier paths in that image (and deleting them).     I have a custom EntityHome class. I wire the dependent entity in the wire method, but when I call the action (persist) the wired component is always null.   • How do I delete a foreign key in SQLAlchemy?

    I'm using SQLAlchemy Migrate to keep track of database changes and I'm running into an issue with removing a foreign key. I have two tables, t_new is a new table, and t_exists is an existing table. I need to add t_new, then add a foreign key to t_exists. Then I need to be able to reverse the operation (which is where I'm having trouble). t_new = sa.Table("new", meta.metadata, sa.Column("new_id", sa.types.Integer, primary_key=True) ) t_exists = sa.Table("exists", meta.metadata, sa.Column("exists_id", sa.types.Integer, primary_key=True), sa.Column( "new_id", sa.types.Integer, sa.ForeignKey("new.new_id", onupdate="CASCADE", ondelete="CASCADE"), nullable=False ) ) This works fine: t_new.create() t_exists.c.new_id.create() But this does not: t_exists.c.new_id.drop() t_new.drop() Trying to drop the foreign key column gives an error: 1025, "Error on rename of '.\my_db_name\#sql-1b0_2e6' to '.\my_db_name\exists' (errno: 150)" If I do this with raw SQL, i can remove the foreign key manually then remove the column, but I haven't been able to figure out how to remove the foreign key with SQLAlchemy? How can I remove the foreign key, and then the column?

  • XPath and special characters

    I am having an issue with an XPath query I'm performing for a Sitecore CMS system. This query works fine: /root/content/Meta-Data/Tips/* But when I try this: /root/content/Meta-Data/Tips/*[@SomeAttribute='somekey'] I get an error which says "End of string expected at position 22" which is where the dash character is found. I was under the impression that the dash was not a special character in XML... am I doing something wrong here? Do I need to encode this in some way? Or is this a bug in the XPath parser? Any suggested workarounds?
