  • Apache configuration to accept all data

    Hi, I have apache running on port 7979 to talk with a device that sends data to webserver and later will run php scripts to process and send reply xml. The problem now is that it sends data like POST HTTP/1.1 Content-Type:text/xml Content-Length:369 Followed by XML When apache sees this it gives a 400 error. Since the device cannot be changed is there any way to accept the full data sent from the device and write to some log? Currently apache simply keeps sending 400 errors back. If there was a way to log the entire xml or create some custom handler for 400 error then the xml could be read by a php script. Looking forward to solutions.

  • Exim: How to turn off DKIM for forwarded mail?

    I have DKIM configured in Exim for outgoing mail, as per the documentation. Exim signs all outgoing mail. But some of that outgoing mail is forwarded, thanks to a users .forward file. This is a problem for me, because some of those messages are spam (my exim configuration does not do any verification) and I don't want to take responsibility for them. But I can't figure out how to configure Exim not to sign these messages. My configuration is basically the Debian Squeeze default, with a few DKIM_* macros set. I can post more details, but I think seeing any example of conditional DKIM signing would set me right.

  • Frustration with superuser.com user interface (please migrate this to "meta")

    Can someone please migrate this question to "meta" for me? I'm unable to post there while I wait for OpenID to fix my password problems. Thanks. I'm having problems with superuser.com's interface -- when I provide an answer to a question, sometimes the buttons get locked and then I find out that the question was migrated. Usually I can go back and copy-and-paste my answer at whatever site it goes to, but on occasion my answer is lost and I have to re-type it. This is very time-consuming, and makes it quite frustrating to use the system. In addition, I find that I'm wasting a lot of time dealing with having to re-register on the other sites. My suggestion is to not de-activate the "Submit answer" button but to just forward that along to the migrated site automatically, thus ensuring that answers that people put a lot of effort into don't get lost.   • Copssh, how to add users?

    I installed copssh on Windows Vista (64-bit) here, and the installation seemed to go fine. It requires you to explicitly add users to log in, which is fine, so I opened the COPSSH Control Panel (really just an app), went to the Users tab, clicked Add, Forward, and the "User:" popup is empty. The "Domain:" popup has exactly one entry: my computer name. The "Documentation" shortcut in the start menu group is broken, but I found the folder it's supposed to point to, and I only see docs for command-line tools (which I'll investigate next). Is there something I'm missing? Is the COPSSH Control Panel just plain broken?

  • Set up simple reverse proxy using IIS

    I would like to reverse proxy my Jira installation on a Windows server 2008 machine. Jira is running under: http://jira.domain.com:8080/ and is accessible as such. The machine also runs IIS for hosting several ASP.NET websites. I followed instructions here: http://blogs.iis.net/carlosag/archive/2010/04/01/setting-up-a-reverse-proxy-using-iis-url-rewrite-and-arr.aspx and installed URL rewrite and ARR. I now have a “Web farm” node in my IIS instance but I’ve got no idea on how to proceed. I tried adding some rules but this made the rest of my IIS websites stop responding. Is there a simple way to say: 1. Forward http://jira.domain.com to http://localhost:8080 2. Ignore other domains and route them as usual Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hi! I'm running CentOS 5.4 and my / is full. I wanted to install gparted but in order to do that I must install Priorities and it's when I get an error saying / is full so I can't go forward.     I'm setting up an nginx - apache reverse proxy where nginx handles the static files and apache the dynamic. I have a search engine and depending on search parameter I either directly forward the user to the page they are looking for or provide a set of search results. I cache these results in memcached as key:/search.cgi?q=foo value: LOCATION:http://www.example.com/foo.html and key:/search.cgi?q=bar value: CONTENT-TYPE: text/html <html> .... .... </html> I can pull the "Content-type...." values out of memcached using nginx and send them to the user, but I can't quite figure out how to handle a returned value like "Location..." Can I?

  • how to pass domain name to backend with pound

    I am using pound as a way to decode SSL for the backend, but the bulk of the work is done on varnish (including virtualhost stuff). As a result, I need pound to just forward all other traffic to varnish verbatim, but it doesn't seem to do that. I am using the default configuration: ListenHTTP Address 1.2.3.4 Port 8080 ## allow PUT and DELETE also (by default only GET, POST and HEAD)?: xHTTP 0 Service BackEnd Address 127.0.0.1 Port 80 End End End So whenever I hit example.com:8080, it will always redirect to the default backend for varnish, which i assume was because the domain (host) header isn't send along.   • Nodejs for processing js and Nginx for handling everything else

    I am having a nodejs running on port 8000 and nginx on port 80 on same server. I want Nginx to handle all the requests(image,css,etc) and forward js requests to nodejs server on port 8000.   • Questions about Domains and DNS

    Hi, I am totally new to the DNS and server hosting world and not quite sure what I need. I want to get a domain, forward it to my own server, so that the user sees example.com in the url bar and example.com/foo/bar will work. Depending on what subdomain it is, it should do different things (another base-directory at webserver, ftp, etc). Also my email should be able to be sent to and received by that server. What irritates me, is the fact, that in the A-record I can only list IP-addresses and no ports. So do I have to set up a nameserver on my own server? Or do I accomplish this via vhosts on my webserver? I would appreciate any help or link to a tutorial. I know how DNS works, know some basic apache-stuff, etc... so no need to explain that. Thanks

  • Check IMAP via PHP for mesages in order to interact with them via PHP?

    I use Google to administer my e-mails and I run Nginx + PHP. If I want to check incoming mail to interact with each message subject (to trigger an action), as far as I know, I have only two options: 1) access Google via IMAP PHP / cron job or 2) forward the messages to my server where I can have a subdomain set to pipe the messages to a PHP script. Frankly, I'd preffer the first option because I have already all the IMAP functions tested and done. And if the second solution is really the best, I'd preffer to use Postfix. However, id like some light grom somebody who has already browsed this unknown waters. Thank you.

    I am brand new to server administration but I don't belive im trying to do anything to exotic I have a windows server 2012 (standard) and a drobo 800i My goal is to setup company shares on the iscsi target I have setup on the drobo So far I have: initialized the iscsi and connected made the iscsi disk read/write(it default started as read only) formatted and mounted it (as drive E:) from the server local desktop I can see and write files to the E:\ drive in shares wizard I do not see it as a volume option when I view the volumes window I see (e: drobo Fixed 16tb 16tb) I'm new to everything but I would think since its a mounted drive I should be able to share a folder on it but it appears its not that straight forward suggestions?

    Hello I am experiencing some issues with my iptables. Here's what I want to do: A(eth0)--------(eth0)B(eth2)---------------(eth2)C Brackets are interface names A,B and C are hosts. Now I would like to forward port number 80 of host C so that It would be accessed via host A. host A is 192.168.1.254 host C is 192.168.3.2 I intentionally ACCEPTed all FILTER chain options as the default policy because I wanted to make sure that NAT is working properly first. I enabled ip_forward. So here's what I have done: sudo iptables -A PREROUTING -t nat -p tcp - d 192.168.1.254 -j DNAT --to 192.168.3.2 However it is not working. What am I missing here?

  • Routing from the DMZ to the interior network only

    I have a home network connected to Verizon's FIOS service. Verizon's ActionTec router is connected to the ONT via coax to establish the MOCA network. My DD-WRT router's WAN port is connected to one of the ActionTec's LAN ports. The DD-WRT router is configured with a static IP address and assigned to the DMZ (this is done so I only have to configure port forwarding once). My issue is that this does not allow computers connected to the DD-WRT to serve streaming audio/video to the MOCA network using Verizon's Media Manager. I know that Media Manager uses ports 18001, 5050, and 5060, but I don't know how to forward those ports so that they are only available to the ActionTec's network and not the rest of the internet.
