• NHibernateUtil.Initialize and Table where clause (Soft Delete)

  We are using NHibernate but sometimes manually load proxies using the NHibernateUtil.Initialize call. We also employ soft delete and have a "where" condition on all our mapping to tables. SQL generated by NHibernate successfully adds the where condition (i.e. DELETED IS NULL) however we notice that NHibernateUtil.Initialize does not observe the constraints of the mapping files. i.e. None of the SQL generated by NHibernateUtil.Initialize observes our DELETED IS NULL condition. Is there something we're missing as we would really like to employ manual loading of some entity collections when the situation demands it. We are using FluentNhibernate for our mapping.

  I am trying to call up a modal table view controller using presentModalViewController but I am not sure what to do about the delegate. The following code gives me an error: MyRidesListView *controller = [[MyRidesListView alloc] init]; controller.delegate = self; [self presentModalViewController:controller animated:YES]; [controller release]; Error: Request for member 'delegate' is something not a structure or union Now, I realized there is no delegate property in my MyRidesListView class. So, how would I add a reference to my delegate there? What am I missing here?

• Backbone.js - Getting JSON back from url

  While trying to learn Backbone.js, I've been trying to grab the content of a JSON file using the following code: (function($){ var MyModel = Backbone.Model.extend(); var MyCollection = Backbone.Collection.extend({ model : MyModel, url: '/backbone/data.json', parse: function(response) { console.log(response); return response; } }); var stuff = new MyCollection; console.log(stuff.fetch()); console.log(stuff.toJSON()); })(jQuery) 'stuff.fetch()' returns the entire object (with the data I'm after in responseText), 'stuff.toJSON' returns nothing ([]), but the console in the parse method is returning exactly what I want (the json object of my data). I feel like I'm missing something obvious here, but I just can't seem to figure it out why I can't get the right data out. Could someone point me in the right direction or show me what I'm doing wrong here? Am I using a model for the wrong thing?

• Visual studio 2010 colourizers, intellisense and the rest. Where to start!!

  Ok, before I begin I realize that there is a lot of documentation on this subject but I have thus far failed to get even basic colourization working for VS2010. My goal is to simply get to a point where I can open a document and everything is coloured red, from here I can implement the relevant parsing logic. Here's what I have tried/found: 1) Downloaded all the relevent SDK's and such- Found the ook sample (http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/ookLanguage) - didn't build, didn't work. 2) Knowing almost nothing about MEF read through "Implementing a Language Service By Using the Managed Package Framework" - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb166533(v=VS.100).aspx This was pretty much a copy and paste of all the basic stuff here, and also updating some references which were out of date with the sample see: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vsx/thread/a310fe67-afd2-4592-b295-3fc86fec7996 Now, I have got to a point where when running the package MEF appears to have hooked up correctly (I know this because with the debugger open I can see that the packages initialize and FDoIdle methods are being hit). When I open a file of the extension I have registered with the ProvideLanguageExtensionAttribute everything dies as if in an endless loop, yet no debug symbols hit (though they are loaded). Looking at the ook sample and the MEF examples they seem to be totally different approaches to the same problem. In the ook sample there are notions of Clasifications and Completion controllers which aren't mentioned in the MEF example. Also, they don't seem to create a Package or Language service, so I have no idea how it should work? With the MEF example, my assumption is that I need to hook into the "IScanner.ScanTokenAndProvideInfoAboutIt" to provide syntax highlighting? Which would be fine if I could ever hit this method. So my first question I guess is which approach should I be taking here? Or do they both somehow tie together? My second questions is, where can I find a basic fully working project that implements bog standard basic syntax highlighting and intellisense or VS2010? Thirdly, in the MEF example when I created a Package there were a bunch of test projects created for me. I appears that the integration tests launch the VS2010 test rig somehow, but the test fails. It would be good to write my service with tests but I have no idea what/how I can test each interaction so any references to testing Language services would be helpful. • Hiding all panels on a web content form within a master page

  I'm trying to hide all panels on a page, when a button click occurs. This is on a web content form, within a master page. The contentplageholder is named: MainContent So I have: foreach (Control c in Page.Form.FindControl("MainContent").Controls) { if (c is Panel) { c.Visible = false; } } This never find any panels. The panels are within an Update Panel, and I tried foreach(Control c in updatePanel.Controls) { } and this didn't work either. I also tried : foreach(Control c in Page.Controls) { } and that didn't work either. Any idea what I'm missing here?

• Richfaces Calendar Minimum and Maximum Dates

  Hello everybody! My problem is making the RichFaces calendar restricting the dates to be allowed to be chosen by the user. Let's say I want to allow only the dates of this month and the dates of the next month to be chosen by the user. I used the preloadDateRangeStart and preloadDateRangeEnd attributes but they did nothing. I created my own CalendarDataModel which uses the preloadDateRangeStart and preloadDateRangeEnd and enables the items but the calendar on the screen allows only the dates of the current month to be selected. Note that the preloadDateRangeStart is today's date and preloadDateRangeEnd is today's date plus 2 months. I am missing something here for sure. Can someone help me please?

  Hello, If i browse my site using http://localhost:8080/abc/Login/index.jsf, everything works fine. But if browse it using simply http://localhost:8080/abc, the page is shown but all its images and css files are missing. What can be the problem? I have this in my web.xml :- <form-login-config> <form-login-page>/Login/index.jsf</form-login-page> <form-error-page>/Login/index.jsf</form-error-page> </form-login-config> Probably, images are not getting referenced correctly. • Using fixtures with factory_girl

  When building the following factory: Factory.define :user do |f| f.sequence(:name) { |n| "foo#{n}" } f.resume_type_id { ResumeType.first.id } end ResumeType.first returns nil and I get an error. ResumeType records are loaded via fixtures. I checked using the console and the entries are there, the table is not empty. I've found a similar example in the factory_girl mailing list, and it's supposed to work. What am I missing? Do I have to somehow tell factory_girl to set up the fixtures before running the tests?

• Scrapy + Eclipse PyDev : how to setup the debugger?

  I've successfully setup Eclipse with my Scrapy project. I did it by setting a new Run/Debug configuration : Whose main module links to Scrapy /usr/local/bin/scrapy for me (I've found suggestion to use cmdline.py but that failed on my computer (OSX Lion & scrapy installed through easy_install) Defining the arguments to send "crawl ny" in my case as I would if I used the Scrapy command line Setting the correct working directory (${workspace_loc:My Project/src} in my case) Eclipse can successfully launch my project, but I've no debbuger. I'm missing my breakpoints and variable inspection, does anyone know how to setup the debbugger with this environment ?

• SSH X11 Tunneling

  Hey all, I'm running Ubuntu 9.10 and trying to run a Java program I wrote whose source code is located on a remote machine. I'm using ssh to connect using the following command from the terminal: ssh -X username@hostname When running the program, one of the GUI frames has its buttons missing from view, but they are clickable and work as expected when I can guess accurately where they are. Running the code from my local machine they are present, and running from another windows machine using X-Windows they are present. Been trying to solve this problem for a few hours now but to no avail. Anyone have any helpful insight how to resolve this issue? Thanks!

• Which file is the COM++ object and how do I import it to .NET?

  I'm trying to write a COM++ object wrapper around a Qt widget (control) I wrote so I can use it in future .NET projects. e.g.: public __gc class comWidget; In the compile directory are the .exe, an exe.intermediate.manifest, and the comWidget.obj, and also some other crap files (.pdb, etc). So what/how do I import into .NET? I feel like I'm missing an important step for registering the object or whatever, but all these tutorials are terrible outdated and ridiculously unhelpful (for instance, I'm using the old CLR syntax because I can't find any good docs on the new stuff, thx again M$ for being lazy faggots as usual)

  I'm trying to find a version of UDP which just alleviates the restriction of a maximum size of the message sent. I don't care about reliability or partial retransmission, if all chunks arrive I want the message to be assembled from the chunks in sending order and delivered to the listening app. If one or more chunks are missing I would just like to discard the message. The goal is to have a low-latency notification mechanism about real time data, but with the added support for bigger messages than what would fit in an IP datagram. I would like the protocol to be one way only, and not have long connection setup times. An optional feature to be able to respond to a received message wouldn't hurt (a concept of an unreliable connection), but is not necessary.

• server reboot has caused django project to lose directories

  A fully functional Django project as well as a couple in development have all broken following the rebooting of the server. In addition to some pieces of the Django admin returning errors as well as missing .js and .css files, I'm getting errors like this when viewing pages that include images uploaded through the admin.   This is a really basic regex question but since I can't seem to figure out why the match is failing in certain circumstances I figured I'd post it to see if anyone else can point out what I'm missing. I'm trying to pull out the 2 sets of digits from strings of the form: 12309123098_102938120938120938 1321312_103810312032123 123123123_10983094854905490 38293827_1293120938129308 I'm using the following code to process each string: if($string && $string =~ /^(\d)+_(\d)+$/) { if(IsInteger($1) && IsInteger($2)) { print "success ('$1','$2')"; } else { print "fail"; } } Where the IsInterger() function is as follows: sub IsInteger { my $integer = shift; if($integer && $integer =~ /^\d+$/) { return 1; } return; } This function seems to work most of the time but fails on the following for some reason: 1287123437_1268098784380 1287123437_1267589971660 Any ideas on why these fail while others succeed?   I need a simple graphics library that supports the following functionality: Ability to draw polygons (not just rectangles!) with RGBA colors (i.e., partially transparent), Ability to load bitmap images, Ability to read current color of pixel in a given coordinate. Ideally using JavaScript or Python. Seems like HTML 5 Canvas can handle #2 and #3 but not #1, whereas SVG can handle #1 and #2 but not #3. Am I missing something (about either of these two)? Or are there other alternatives?

• pitfalls with mixing storage engines in mysql with django?

  I'm running a django system over mysql in amazon's cloud, and the database default is innodb. But now I want to put a fulltext index on a couple of tables for searching, which evidently requires myisam. The obvious solution is to just tell mysql to ALTER TABLE to myisam, but are there going to be any issues with that? One that comes to mind is that I'll have to remember to do that any time I build a new version of the database, which should theoretically be rare, but there doesn't seem to be a way to tell django to please set the storage engine at the table level. I guess I could write a migration (we use south). Any other things I might be missing? What could possibly go wrong?

  The Background I love responsive CSS grids. I hate Bootstrap's complex class names. I fell in love with Foundations human readable class names. The Problem With Foundation 4, they have changed four columns to large-4 small-4 columns and in my opinion this makes the HTML markup less clear. This style of CSS class names is exactly why I switched from Bootstrap to Foundation. The Question What advantage is gained by Foundation 4's Grid in making this change? It seems that you can have a different grid layout on smaller screens via media queries, but I can't think of a design that would require this. Note: I've been focused on native mobile development and therefore I may be missing out on recent best practices.

  Hi, I've got two tables - users and servers, and for the HABTM relationship, users_servers. Users HABTM servers and vice versa. I'm trying to find a way for Cake to select the servers that a user is assigned to. I'm trying things like $this->User->Server->find('all'); which just returns all the servers, regardless of whether they belong to the user. $this->User->Server->find('all', array('conditions' => array('Server.user_id' => 1))) just gives an unknown column SQL error. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious but just need someone to point me in the right direction. Thanks!

• Why is new showat attribute required when using code generation?

  When I generate code using T4 templates in Visual Studio 2010, I get the following error for each of my asp controls when I try to compile: Control "ddState" is missing required attribute "showat". I have never gotten this error in previous versions of .NET. Further, I don't get this error when I manually construct my pages either by dragging/dropping, nor do I get it when I type out the control text myself. When I generate code, I have to manually add showat="client" to my tag for the compiler to be happy. It was my understanding that I never had to explicitly specify this tag. The following: <asp:dropdownlist id="ddState" runat="server" showat="client" /> solves the problem. Why do I have to add this to generated code but not other times? (It's a VS-2010 webforms project, using VB, in case that makes a difference.)
