  I’ve using the following htaccess script so that i can hide index.php from the uri. Now when i browse the directory by browser then the codeigniter’s not found page displays. I can’t browser the file /assets/image.jpg but it displays when i call it from an tag What can i do now? • how to run javascript from c# code ?

  I have a webrequest that returns a html response which has form inside with hidden fields with some javascript that submits the form automatically on pageload ( if this was run in a browser). If I save this file as *.html and run this file in browser , the java script code automatically posts the form and the output is excel file. I want to be able to generate this file from a c# code which is not running in broswer. I tried mocking thr form post but its complicated and has various scenarios based on the original webrequest querystring. any pointers.... i know its not possible to probably run JS code that posts the form - from within c# code but still thought of chekcing if someone has done that.

• How to store or share live data between PHP Requests?

  Hi, I want to start a project for facebook and the application will be like real-time multiplayer chess game. The problem I'm having is I have no idea how to store the data when a player moves one piece and update the new position in player2 browser. I'm gonna use PHP, MySQL for server side and jQuery for Client Rendering. The simplest idea is to store the data in XML or MySQL and re-generate the result to player2 browser. But I know that when thousand of players are playing, it will not be an efficient way. Since I don't have time to study new language for this project, I'm gonna have to stick with PHP. I'm not going to use flash either because I want my client side light-weight and flash-free. So is there any way that will solve my problems?

• questions about using svn

  i have set up a svn repository in a remote ubuntu server using webdav (http://ip/svn). but i have some questions: should i create one svn repository for each project folder? so i should use "svnadmin create" 5 times for 5 projects? or should i import them to seperate folders in the svn repository? should i after i have created a svn repo, import one project folder into it with "svn import" and then DELETE my original local folder thus only having it in the svn repo in the remote ubuntu server? is this safe or should i still have a local copy for some reason (cause i wont work in that one)? i use netbeans to check out projects from svn repo, then i edit the files and commit the changes. but how should i do to update the live web server content (in /var/www)? should i in my ubuntu server use "svn checkout" and check it out to /var/www or should i use netbeans to check out to a local folder and then upload the files to /var/www with ftp or webdav (and which one of them should i use)? so i got a svn repo and lets say 4 programmers are working with it, checking out and commiting. how do i check what is happening in the repo, which one made which changes, and all the changes from day 1 to day 213? does netbeans/eclipse letting me see this kind of information or do i download another application for it? i should have one svn user for each programmer in the ubuntu server? is this accomplished by using "htpasswd" 4 times for 4 programmers? how do i couple all these users to same group so that i could modify file access specific for the svn group and all its members?

  Jenkins is up and running in my organization.In configure tab under Repository browser we have an option called fish eye.If I select fish eye as an repository browser it is asking the fish eye URL (such as http://fisheye6.cenqua.com/browse/ant/)My requirment is I need to fetch the reports such as (we would like to track the SVN to take chain change report, to give statistics on how many check-in happening in each code base, how many cut has been taken from each branches…etc ).We need to achieve all these things in Jenkins itself. For performing such things we need to setup the seperate fish eye server.If that is the case why we have the fish eye option in jenkins.We can perform all these activities in Fisheye instead of Jenkins. • Launch intent viewer to display image from url

  I have the url of an image. What i need to do is launch the default image viewer for images using an intent. I tried launching it by using: Uri uri = Uri.parse("http://www.google.com/intl/en_ALL/images/srpr/logo1w.png"); Intent it = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW); it.setDataAndType(uri, "image/*") startActivity(it); But it doesn't work. If I do not specify the type of data, the intent launches the browser since the data is a url. It works basically (since you can see the image on the browser) but what I would like is to have the gallery display the image for me. I can also download the image into a Bitmap but I would still not know how to display the Bitmap using the gallery (if that's even possible). Any ideas?

• In Oracle 10g, how do I see tables in schemes other than system

  In the hr schema there's a table emloyees, I can query data from it specifying it implicitly SELECT count(*) FROM hr.employees while logged in as system, but when I navigate to Home-Object Browser in the browser I can't see the table employees and other tables in other schemas. Can I manage tables in schemas other than system while logged in as system? Maybe there's some setting which enables me to group tables by schema. My Oracle Database version is 10.2.0.1 Express Edition. IIRC I could see all tables in Oracle Database 10.1.x.y. Thanks.

• firefox component doesn't seem to be loading

Near as I can tell the component isn't working and I've no idea as to why. • Webpage shared with like button not showing in users timeline

  I have a single pages and a one page that lists all of the single pages. On the overview page you can like each single page with their url. And of corse you can do the same when you are viewing a single page. My issue is very strange. Most of the pages that I would like show up on my timeline. But then there are some that don't show after I click like, not even if I click on "Post to Facebook". This page will not show in a users timeline if liked ore "Post'ed to Facebook". http://www.inspiredbyiceland.com/inspiration/iceland-airwaves/valdimar/ But this one will http://www.inspiredbyiceland.com/inspiration/iceland-airwaves/snorri-helgason/ But these pages are excls the same, they use the same template so the code should not be any different, and in fact I cant see any differents between these pages that could be causing this kind of problem. Most of the content on the site works fine so far as I know. There is an Facebook application defined on the page. I'm not sure if that is related to this problem.

• Need to close a popup after javascript completes image upload then load new page

  I got a problem. I have a image upload script that runs on a popup up when you select "upload button", after it is complete instead of closing it stays in the uploader.html window. I need it to close and go to a new page. • page transitions using javascript

  hey, i saw this on a site a couple of days ago and i cant seem to find it again. in any case, this is what was on the site: the page opened regularly when you entered the url. upon clicking one of the links on the page, it "transitioned" to the next page (there was a color change). and the url in the address bar was changed to reflect that. eg: if the background was blue on site.com, when clicking on the about link, the background would change to green and the browser would show site.com/about. and so on. also, if the url entered was site.com/about, the bg would be green and on cliking the home page, the site would transition from green to blue and browser would show site.com im interested in finding out how this was done. searching on google got me the meta-refresh tag, but the ffect was much more complex and worked on all browsers. is there any other method out there?

• internet explorer 7 iframe unloads when going back

  Hi this is my first post here, so please be kind ;-) i'm implementing a browser history manager, just like rsh or yui browser history manager. The idea was not to constantly poll the url hash of a hidden iframe, but to capture the onscroll event of an iframe, when it scrolls to an anchor name on an urlhashchange. So on every click i add an new anchor to iframe and set the iframe's hash to the anchors name. When pressing the back or forward button the frame scrolls to the previous or next anchor and the onscroll event is fired. That works great on firefox 3.0+, IE6 and Opera but on IE7 when hiting the back button the frame unloads and loses all its anchors. • Handling Custom Protocols

  I'm looking to respond to an event from a web browser, hopefully any web browser. I'm working solely on windows and I came to the conclusion a custom protocol (I.E. myprot://collection/of/strings) is the best approach here (any objections?). But, handling an instance of this protocol seems to be a little less straight-forward. All I need is that collection of strings auto-magically passed to my already running application! (the app will only respond to these links while in a specific waiting state) So answer me this, if you can, Whats the 'popular' method of handling them or better yet Whats the 'best' (subjective - I know) way to do it? Although your answers don't need to be specific to my language, I am using Delphi for development. Thanks!

The problem is that after I include the script file I can't access, inside functions in the theme file, variables declared in the script file . I have created a new file in the theme folder and added the same code as in header.php and if I open that file it works just fine.   If i have a web application and i receive credit card data transmitted via a POST request by a web browser over HTTPS and instantly open a socket (SSL) to a remote PCI compilant card processor to forward the data and wait for a response, am i allowed to do that? or is this receiving the data with my application and forwarding it already subject of "processing credit card data"? if i create an iframe that is displayed in a client browser to enter cc data and this iframe posts the data via HTTPS to remote card processor (directly!) is this already a case of processing credit card data? even if my application code 'doesnt touch' the entered data with any event handlers? i'm interested in the definition "credit card data processing". when does it start to be a cc data processing application? can somebody maybe point me to that section in PCI-DSS standard that clearly defines when you start to 'be a processing application'? • Does Amazon S3's HTTP Uploads feature support web-hook style callbacks?

  When uploading files to Amazon S3 using the browser http upload feature, I know I can specify a success_action_redirect field/value that will tell my browser where to go when the upload is done. I'm wondering: is it possible to ask Amazon to make a web hook style POST request to my web server whenever a file gets uploaded? Basically, I want a way of being notified whenever a client uploads a new file, so that my server can process the upload. I'd like to do this without relying on the client to make the request to my server to tell me the file has been uploaded (never trust the client, right?).

• Un-readable files uploaded via PHP FTP functions

  I just setup a LAMP development server and am still trouble-shooting some things. The server is installed on one computer and I use a Windows laptop to write my code and test the site via the web browser. My file uploading script works in that JPEG image files are successfully uploaded to the server, but when I try to view the images in the web browser, permission is denied. I check the permissions on the file via the server and they are 600. I can fix the issue by chmod 777 theimage.jpg, but this doesn't seem like a good solution at all. Does the solution have something to do with Apache configuration? Or is there something else I should be doing. Thank-you, Mike

But I'm not clear what exactly to do? I've looked at ActiveResource (http://api.rubyonrails.org/classes/ActiveResource/Base.html) and rest-client, but I'm still not clear exactly what steps, code, and files to create. http://www.postful.com/service/mail is one of the services (details found http://www.postful.com/developer/guide#rest ), but to upload an image I have to post the following (but I'm not sure how I actually do this?). • Sign in as different user when using Integrated Windows Authentication

  I have restricted access to a site by using Integrated Windows Authentication and turning off anonymous access. This way I can then show them their real name (from looking up on Active Directory and using the server variable LOGON_USER) and do other related Active Directory tasks. How can I then prompt again for their user credentials, through a 'sign in as other user' link , showing the browser prompt (like you would get on a browser like Chrome or Firefox, or if the site was not in the 'Intranet' zone in IE) rather than a Web Form? Since SharePoint offers this functionality, I assume there is a way to do this through code, but I don't know what code can do this (using C#). I can send a 401 header which makes the prompt appear, but how do you then confirm if they are logged in?
