• How to use CLEAR USB WiMax in Ubuntu (host) and Windows XP (guest) using VirtualBox

  I'm trying to use CLEAR Motorola WiMax USB in Ubuntu as there is no support for Linux as yet. I've installed Windows XP as guest in Ubuntu and the version I'm using is 3.2.2. USB is connecting fine in Windows XP but I can't use internet in Ubuntu. Can you please tell me how to do it. Here is the configuration that could help you guys. Thanks in advance.   I encountered a problem dealing with UTF-8, XML and Perl. The following is the smallest piece of code and data in order to reproduce the problem. • How to override browser default download behavior for files?

  Lots of times we have to download files from the net. In IE we get to see the ugly download progress bar. In firefox we get to see a pop-up window opening etc. However, I have never seen this being over ridden in any manner. Until recently on the site *thesixtyone DOT com* If we get to download a song free and click on the ok link to start the download we get a pop up to select location in the default style of windows.   I just started to experiment with LXC containers. I was able to create a container and start it up but I cannot get dhcp to assign the container an IP address. If I assign a static address the container can ping the host IP but not outside the host IP. The host is CentOS 6.5 and the guest is Ubuntu 14.04LTS. I used the template downloaded by lxc-create -t download -n cn-01 command. If I am trying to get an IP address on the same subnet as the host I don't believe I should need the IP tables rule for masquerading but I added it anyways. Same with IP forwarding. • How to print new line character with echo?

  I dump a string with hexdump like this 2031 3334 2e30 0a32 2032 3331 302e 000a. It is clear that 0x0a is new line character, however, when I try to echo this string out, I always got 1 430.2 2 13.0 -- the new line is replaced with a space, even I use the -e flag. What may be the problem? Does the tailing \0 ruin the output? Is there any alternatives to print 0x0a a new line? Thanks and Best regards.

I really don't understand the reason...   I can not resolve why error in simple creation of xts object xts(rep(0, NROW(TICK.NYSE)), order.by = index(TICK.NYSE)) Error in xts(rep(0, NROW(TICK.NYSE)), order.by = index(TICK.NYSE)) : order.by requires an appropriate time-based object appeared while this was working perfectly 14 days ago when I last used the same code (since then the only difference is that TICK.NYSE grow in length since data was added since then).   I have a bookmarklet, clicking the bookmarklet includes a PHP script (evaluated as a JavaScript file) to the page few table values and select values passed as GET parameters.   We were trying to run fllowing code in rake file: directory "tmp" file "hello.tmp" => "tmp" do sh "echo 'Hello' >> 'tmp/hello.tmp'" end We have taken this code from http://jasonseifer.com/2010/04/06/rake-tutorial But, since we are working on windows commands like'sh','echo' wont work.. according to the explanation given for the above code, it should first create a directory 'tmp' and then create a file 'hello.tmp' which will have 'hello' as its text.. Firstly, how can we do this for windows? and Secondly, a file with extension '.tmp' sounds quite wierd.. what does 'hello.tmp' specifies? Does it simply mean that 'hello.tmp' is a text file in 'tmp' directory?

• Java File I/O problems

  This is my first time working with file i/o in java, and it's not working. The section of the program where I parse individual lines and output a semicolon delimited line works like a charm when I hardcode a file and display on screen. Whne I try to write to a file public static OutputStream... errors out as an illegal start to expression, and I've been unable to get the program to step through an entire directory of files instead of one at a time. Where I'm not clear: I'm note setting an output filename anywhere...whare am I supposed to do that? The path variable won't pass. What's the proper format for a path? • How do I get my custom requiredif attribute to prevent other attributes from firing

  I'm working on an MVC application. I've decorated a property with EqualTo found here: http://dataannotationsextensions.org/EqualTo/Create As well as a custom RequiredIf attribute as suggested here: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/simonince/archive/2011/02/04/conditional-validation-in-asp-net-mvc-3.aspx My issue is that even when the field is supposed to be required and isn't the EqualTo logic is firing. So I get error messages saying the field is required but also that the field doesn't match. If I replace the Requiredif with a regular Required only the Required message will show. What I'm trying to figure out is how the EqualTo logic is prevented when combined with the Required attribute but not prevented when combined with my custom RequiredIf. Any suggestions would be most appreciated, I've been racking my brain most of the day trying to figure out the mvc internals around Required.

Here is the problem I am having. For the following RSS feed example, I am having trouble getting it to load the feed. Comes up with an error that it cannot connect.
