• Find duplicates lines based on some delimited fileds on line

  Hello, I have a file with lines having some fields delimited by "|". I have to extract the lines that are identical based on some of the fileds (i.e. find lines which contain the same values for fields 1,2,3 12,and 13) Other fields contents have no importance for searching but the whole extracted lines have to be complete. Can anyone tell me how I can do that in KSH scripting (By exemple a script with some arguments (order dependent) that define the fileds separator and the fields which have to be compared to find duplicates lines in input file ) Thanks in advance and kind regards Oli

• windows server 2012 wont boot after instlling on iscsi device

  Windows server 2012 installed on a ISCI LUN. Problem noticed after first reboot. Windows boots only if setup DVD is present(i have to ignore "press any key to boot from DVD" prompt). to present the login Screen and everything looks great from here. But the server wont boot without the help of setup DVD. Can any one help me understand what would be the problem? Dell Workstation T3600 Intel Pro NIC (Capable of ISCI Boot and also enabled)

  I have a combo box with a row source based on an SQL query about like SELECT DISTINCT Database_New.ASEC FROM Database_New WHERE Database_New.Date= DateSerial([cboYear], 1, 1) And Database_New.Date<= DateSerial([cboYear], 12, 31); the trouble is that if I change the value of cboYear, the values in the drop down cboASEC do not update. I have to open the query, save it and close it to get the thing to update while I have the form open. Is there a way to get the cboASEC to update somehow? maybe a little tidbit of code in the cboYear - afterupdate?

  I need to put curly braces in a sentence according to the indexes. Suppose my input sentence is: "I am a girl and I live in Nepal." and I need to put curly braces according to [12, 15], [2, 4], [23, 25] These indexes are corresponding to the words "am", "and" and "in" respectively. The required output should be: "I {am} a girl {and} I live {in} Nepal." I have tried using substring but after it replaces first word, it then shifts the characters by two indexes and that is the problem I am having. Can anyone provide me solution to get the required output?

As example if this is the text: "This is an example of text lorem ipsum, etc..." and i would like to get for instance 12 characters that are: "This is an e".   I want be able to find tags of items under the a certain category. • Why is the screen resolution different between Windows 7 Ultimate and Enterprise editions?

  I installed Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit edition on my Dell Precision M6400 with an nVidia Quadro Fx 2700M card and I see that even though the screen resolution is set to 1920 X 1200, its not the same as the Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit installed on a second hard drive. Both OSes show that the screen resolution is set at 1920 X 1200 but Ultimate shows more pixels than Enterprise. I also reinstalled the display driver but in vain. Any ideas? TIA

  I am shortly starting a project, which requires messages to be held in a queue for a period of 24 hours, this is because the database can't have any updates at certain times of the month. The service also has to be hosted on windows server 2003, which means it will have to be a windows service. It is also required that the service use WCF so that in 12 months time when we move over to windows server 2008, the service can hosted in iis 7. At present I am wondering if MSMQ is the best way to handle this. I've been looking into topics like poison message handling & dead letter queues, but nothing that really covers what I am intending to actually do. Ok here is what i am trying to do: What i want to do is create a function that you can enter unlimited ammount of coordinates ( the blue dots) and then it will create a shape like so and then return all coordinates the shape covers. Because this is for working with pixels, there will be no decimal coordinates. • Windows update on netbook requires CD (hint, there's no CD drive)

  An "Important" update for Microsoft Works (via Windows Update) on a Dell netbook gets about halfway through and then pops up with the super-awesome "Please insert Microsoft Works 9.0 disc" message. Of course, the netbook has no CD rom drive, there is no handy folder (that i can find) containing "Works9.msi", and I have no Works9 disc. It wouldn't be so bad, except the update keeps coming up everytime WU runs. Any suggestions?

  I have a huge "binary" string, like: 1110 0010 1000 1111 0000 1100 1010 0111.... It's length is 0 modulo 4, and may reach 500,000. I have also a corresponding array: {14, 2, 8, 15, 0, 12, 10, 7, ...} (every number in the array corresponds to 4 bits in the string) Given this string, this array, and a number N, I need to calculate the following substring string.substr(4*N, 4), i.e.: for N=0 the result should be 1110 for N=1 the result should be 0010 I need to perform this task many many times, and my question is what would be the fastest method to calculate this substring ? One method is to calculate the substring straight forward: string.substr(4*N, 4). I'm afraid this one is not efficient for such huge strings. Another method is to use array[N].toString(2) and then wrap the result with zeros if needed. I'm not sure how fast is this. May be you have any other ideas ?

For example, the first line would need to store "1 a" in register zero. How can I parse out the number at the line beginning and then store the rest as a string? I have setup storage using a class that is called using mem.set(int, string);. int is the memory location at the beginning of the line and string is the stored instruction.
