  • Exchange server actively refuses my connection

    I'm writing a ASP.NET application used within our company. Now I want to send emails to some users via a email account on our exchange server. I tried to use System.Net.Mail.SmtpClient, where a proprietary account and password are given to specify the credentials. But the code failed with following exception: "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it" Is that due to Exchange Server policies to prevent spam? How can I get it to work?

Right now I've got this: import xmpp new_status = "blah blah blah" login = 'email' pwd = 'password' cnx = xmpp.Client('gmail.com') cnx.connect( server=('talk.google.com',5223) ) cnx.auth(login, pwd, 'botty') pres = xmpp.Presence() pres.setStatus(new_status) cnx.send(pres) It executes, but the status is not updated. I know I'm connecting to the server successfully, as I can send chat messages to others. What am I doing wrong here?

  • DataSetProvider - DataSet to ClientDataSet

    I am trying to take data from a TMSQuery which is connected to my DB and populate a ClientDataSet with some of that data using a DataSetProvider. My problem is that I will need to modify some of this data before it can go into my ClientDataSet. The ClientDataSet has persistent fields that will not match up with the raw DB data. I can't even get a string from the DB into a memo field in ClientDataSet. The ClientDataSet is a part of my data tier so I will need to conform the data from the DB to the ClientDataSet field by field (well most will be able to go right through, but many will require routing and/or conversion). Does anyone have experience with this?

    Hi All, Actually am try to get a report on merge conflicts. I used 'git blame' to see who has changed what line, but i couldn't find the branch and repository name information. Is there a way to find the repository name, branch name and author name of a file from 'git blame' or from commit ids' so that whenever a merge conflict occurs i can send an email to the authors who have touched that file/lines to resolve it. We can place this id to routing key or message header or some other property.   • Can I use the AJAX Autocomplete extender *without* a webservice?

    Using ASP.NET 3.5 with VB codebehind. I don't want to use a webservice to populate an autocomplete extender on a textbox. In this case, it's where the user is entering email addresses and I don't want to make a trip to the database every single time. I'd much rather keep a collection in session state and 'bind' the autocomplete to that. Is it possible to set ServicePath and/or ServiceMethod to something in the codebehind as opposed to a webservice?

  • How do I integrate ActiveMQ with a HornetQ ESB (or access the HornetQ directly from C#)?

    I've got an ActiveMQ ESB that I am using between several C# assemblies across a couple different systems. I need to start receiving notifications being sent out by a new system from it's HornetQ ESB. As far as I can tell the HornetQ is pre-2.0.0GA. I'd like to just use Camel to set up routing between the HornetQ ESB and my ActiveMQ ESB, but so far we haven't been able to get even that far. I'm not sure how much flexibility I've got to change the HornetQ configuration (say to add support for StompConnect or something like that). Does anyone of a viable option for getting access to the HornetQ ESB through ActiveMQ (or directly from C# if necessary)?

    I have an actionlink that on click im passing a List of objects to a controller action. Example: View: Html.ActionLink("TestLink", "TestMethod", "Test", Model.SampleList, null) TestController: public ActionResult TestMethod(List sampleList) { return View(sampleList); } When I do this I get a null sampleList. I can pass a single complex object fine just not a collection of it. Do I need the correct routing for this? The reason I'm doing this is instead of passing an id and do a look up in the controller action, I just pass in the data.

    When creating an sfPropelRouteCollection, how can I edit the action names that the collection will generate? For example: # Routing for "product" CRUD product: class: sfPropelRouteCollection options: model: Product module: product actions: [new, create, edit, update, delete] How can I change the actual action that is called for any of the new/create/edit/update/delete methods? I'd like for them to call "ajaxNew," "ajaxCreate," etc. so the URL would look something like "product/ajaxNew", or the action for "update" would be "ajaxUpdate".   • Is there a Rails authentication library which separates users from login methods?

    In my mental model of authentication, a user should be distinct from the way they log in. So for example, a User could have an associated EmailLogin (with an email/password), or they could have many (or none). Similarly they could have 0..* associated OpenIDLogin credentials. Are there any existing authentication libraries for Rails which use this method? Alternatively, is this a really terrible idea?
