    I'm building an application that needs to login to a certain page and make a navigation. I can login, provided that the response contains a string that identifies it. But, when I navigate to the second page, I can't see the page as a logged user, only as anonymous.     Faced problem while setting background color for any element in Visual Studio 2010 editor. Selection color doesn't override this background color. So then it's very inconvenient to work with selections in editor. Case when only string literal is selected it's almost impossible to distinguish colors and see what part of string is selected. Is there any possibility to fix the problem by changing some options? Or it's a Visual Studio bug?

    I am building a system with a User model (authenticated using AuthLogic) and three user types in three models: one of these models is Employer. Each of these three models has_many :users, :as = :authenticable. I start by having a new visitor to the site create their own 'User' record with username, password, which user type they are, etc. Upon creation, the user is sent to the 'new' action for one of the three models. So, if they tell us they are an employer, we redirect_to :controller = "employers, :action = "new". Question: When the employer has submitted, I want to set the current_user.user_type_id equal to the employer ID.     I have got a table which contains 5 column and query requirements: update row no 8 (or id=8) set its column 2, column 3's value from id 9th column 2, column 3 value. means all value of column 2, 3 should be shifted to column 2, 3 of upper row (start from row no 8) and value of last row's 2, 3 will be null For example, with just 3 rows, the first row is untouched, the second to N-1th rows are shifted once, and the Nth row has nulls. id math science sst hindi english 1 11 12 13 14 15 2 21 22 23 24 25 3 31 32 33 34 35 The result of query of id=2 should be: id math science sst hindi english 1 11 12 13 14 15 2 31 32 23 24 25 //value of 3rd row (col 2,3) shifted to row 2 3 null null 33 34 35 This process should run for all rows whose id 2 Please help me to create this update query I am using MS sqlserver 2005

Now have lots of .BAD files each one containing an error message and somewhere in the middle, the actual email address it was supposed to be sent to. What is the easiest way to extract from each file "just" the "email address", so that I can have a list of the actual failed emails? I can code in C# and any suggestion will be truly welcomed.     I have an ivar like this declared on interface: BOOL controllerOK; I have to use this ivar inside a block that resides itself in a block. Something like myBlockl = ^(){ [self presentViewController:controller animated:YES completion:^(){ if (controllerOK) [self doStuff]; }]; }; If I try to do that, I see an error capturing self strongly in this block is likely to lead to a retain cycle for the if (controllerOK) line. This does not appear to be one of those blocks problems that you create another variable using __unsafe_unretained before the block starts. First because this instruction cannot be used with a BOOL and second because the ivar controllerOK has to be tested on runtime inside the block. Another problem is that the block itself is declared on the interface, so it will be used outside the context where it is being created. How do I solve that?

  • Begin Viewing Query Results Before Query Ends

    OK, so say I have a table with 500K rows, then I ad-hoc query with unsupported indexing which requires a full table scan. I would like to immediately view the first rows returned while the full table scan continues. Then I want to scroll thru the next results. In the meantime, I would like to display the progress of the table scan, example: "SEARCHING.. FOUND 23 OF 500,000 ROWS SO FAR". If I scroll too far ahead, I want to display a message like: "REACHED LAST ROW IN LOOK-AHEAD BUFFER.. QUERY HAS NOT COMPLETED".. Can this be done? Maybe like: spawn/exec, declare scroll cursor, open, fetch, etc.?

    Is it possible to provide the following type of fuctionality with informix client tools? As the user types the first two characters of a name, the drop-down list is empty. At the third character, the list fills with just the names beginning with those three characters. At the fourth character, MS-Access completes the first matching name (assuming the combo's AutoExpand is on). Once enough characters are typed to identify the customer, the user tabs to the next field. The time taken to load the combo between keystrokes is minimal. This occurs once only for each entry, unless the user backspaces through the first three characters again. If your list still contains too many records, you can reduce them by another order of magnitude by changing the value of constant conSuburbMin from 3 to 4.
